Pathocill Dicloxacillin

Dicloxacillin is a narrow-spectrum β-lactam antibiotic of the penicillin class.[1] It is used to treat infections caused by susceptible (non-resistant) Gram-positive bacteria.[1] It is active against beta-lactamase-producing organisms such as Staphylococcus aureus, which would otherwise be resistant to most penicillins. Dicloxacillin is available under a variety of trade names including Diclocil (BMS).[2] It was patented in 1961 and approve...

what is it? - cytochrome pathway cp-450; etc ## Hello, David! How are you? They are a superfamily of proteins which contain a heme cofactor, so they are hemoproteins. They use various large and small molecules in substrates of enzymatic reactions. Human CYPs are primarily membrane associated proteins that are located in the inner membrane of mitochondria or in the endoplasmic reticulum. They are the major enzymes involved in drug metabolism, they actually account for about 75% of it. Most drugs undergo deactivation from CYPs, either directly or through excretion from the body. Some drugs can increase or decrease their activity. This could cause you not to absorb enough of any given medication or to absorb too much of it. A good example to use is the antiseizure medication Phenytoin, sin...

At my clinic in Michigan the regular doctor is no longer there. He was an addiction medicine specialist and did general practiceprimary care. The new regular doctor is only a pathologist, and stated during my 60 day evaluation today that he hasn't treated anyone in 35 years. My question is is this doctor qualified to be the only doctor treating patients at the methadone clinic? ## Hello, Gumcat! How are you? As long as he has been trained in treating with it, regardless of whether or not he has been practicing for awhile, then yes, he can do so. The laws don't require that the doctor be an addiction specialist, just that they have the proper licenses and have been trained in treating with Methadone. A doctor could have stopped practicing for 50 years, then do the training and go...

Hi I am on 37 mcg of fentanyl patch, I was on a 50mcg and a 12 , I weaned myself slowly cutting my patch, my pain doctor doesn't want me to do that, so I went down a 12 mcg .. Sun now it's wed and withdrawal is starting and I feel miserable, I guess my question is, is there something to ease these symtoms, I was on them for fibro and then they say opiads don't work for fibro because over time it makes pain worse.. I don't know? I'm just trying a new path , has anyone had experience with this? ## Hello, Debra! How are you feeling? I'm sorry that you're miserable. Since you still have some and aren't just doing a full withdrawal, the symptoms should only last a week or so. However, if they are really severe, you should talk to your doctor about what you can...

very small and white oval shaped solid not a capsule...APO on one side and TR 50 on the other scored down the center between letters on numbers. please help me identify this pill I found it laying on my kids floor! should I be worried he is leading down the wrong path? ## Yes. He might be abusing drugs. The pill that you found is a 50mg Tramadol pill. A pain killer that is compared to vicotin, hydrocodone, etc... These pain killers could be equivalent to taking heroin, which could lead to serious injury or death. I would recomend you research the drug and then confront you son about the dangers of this drug. =-) ## This is a generic Tramadol by Apox, probably purchased from a foreign pharmacy online. These painkillers have very little recreational value. They are a synthetic made not to...

Or any others , so I know what to expect...signed Scared Skerit? ## Well this is not a med that you should just stop abruptly, especially from that high of a dose. It can be very dangerous, you need a tapering schedule to stop using this med. This med is 80 times stronger than morphine, so you are going from a tremendous amount down to nothing and not only will the withdrawals be horrific, but as I said, it can be dangerous as well. Please talk to a doctor immediately. ## I WAS...

I see a new doctor and would like to know if anyone knows how many oxycodone they are allowed to give before it's red flagged? ## Well, this is a little late, but thought i'd answer anyway in case anyone else looks it up....and I don't know if it varies by state, but in PA, I saw the 'report' the pharmacist has to submit(i THINK it was only for controlled substances), and it read like a damn government spy report, it was so pathetic... I guess the pharmacist gave it to me by accident. Anyway, one of the check boxes was 'More than 180 units?' So i guess it's 180 pills, then they had to special report it(to whom, i don't know.). I wish i had kept that paper, as I'm sure very few people have ever seen one,but this was over a year ago(from march 2017)...

WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY TO GET OFF mirtazapine 15 mg after taking it for 3 weeks? ## Hi Ben, This is just my opinion, but usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. In addition to that, I'd also suggest making yourself a tapering schedule on a calendar to track your progress and keep you on the right path to complete your goal within a specific time frame. Without a way to track your progress, tapering can sometimes be much more difficult than it needs to be. I hope this advice helps! ## Thanks. Your idea is what I w...

Perscribed to me whilst in Japan, I was suffering from dizziness. ## From what I was able to gather Methycobal is used in treating diseases of vitamin B12 deficiency (such as pernicious anemia), or diseases of effective B12 deficiency, such as vitamin B12 metabolic pathway pathologies. I was able to locate possible side effects, which include: Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, and rashes may also occur. If you have any more information to add? Please post back if you do. ## It is actually Methylcobalamin and it is a form of vitamin b12. It is taken for vitamin b12 deficiency. There are other forms of Vitamin B12 as well, such as a form called Cyanocobalamin, but Methylcobalamin B12 is by far the most superior form of vitamin b12. Morphine has a high acting effect on the neural pathway and does a much better job for relief from what ails us all ! Check a pharm scale the oxy is like 6 or 7 on th list morphine is 2 ! ## hydromorphine 32mgEX what do they use for breakthrew pain..? ## Actually no, Oxycodone is stronger than Morphine by one and a half times. In other words for each 10mg dosage of Oxycodone, you'd need to take 15mgs of Morphine to be equivalent. You can learn more Morphine details here and you can learn more Percocet details here. Additionally, the Acetaminophen in the Percocet potentiates the action of the Oxycodone to help it work better. oldtimefiend, there isn't any specific medication that has to be us...

I'm on day 15 of no Suboxone. I took a low dose of 1/2 mg a day, if needed, for 18 mos. I never took more than that at any time. I jumped & didn't taper b/c I felt w/d at 1/4 mg anyway. It's not getting any better & I'm beginning to wonder if things will ever swing upward. My RLS is pathetic. It's even in my arms & I feel like flailing my hands, as if it'll escape out my fingers.
