Used it when I had my total knee. Two syllables, I think. Can't take most pain meds, so need to find out. ## Do you remember the pharmacy that filled it for you? They would still have the records in their computer and should be able to look back and provide you with the information. Off the top of my head, the only pain reliever I can think of that starts with a T that is commonly used is Tramadol, it's a centrally acting analgesic, though it is related to opiates and causes similar side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. Learn more: Does that sound familiar? ## I thought it had two syllables. Don't recall what pharmacy I used then. Guess the orthopedist's record would have it. ## Talwin? I took this 40 years ago for a 2nd degree burn. Only 2...

for multiple sclerosis ## I am not sure if the medication I have in mind is specifically for MS related pain, but from what I understand it is mostly for relapsing-remitting MS and secondary progressive MS with relapses. It is called Rebif, active ingredient Interferon Beta 1a. Is that what you have in mind or could it be a different name?? ## Rebif is a shot, not for pain but to help stop relapses in M.S. I have M.S., there is no pill just for pain for M.S. We use the same meds as anyone: Norco, Fentanyl, Neurontin, etc. ## Is Rebut used in extreme headaches due to a pulled neck muscle and severed neck vertebrae? If not, what is the suggestion? ## I have a co-worker that is killing herself with a pain med that I only know it starts with an R. She acts as if she is drunk and drives in t...

pain med starts with the letter a and is mild dont have the harsh side effects as other pain meds do ## Do you have any other information on it, such as it's classification? Is it a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, are narcotic, a Cox-2 Inhibitor? That would really help to narrow it down. ## New pain medicine that is in same class as Ultram. It is under lock and key at pharmacy. It is a type of 'agonist' med? I learned of it in Chronic pain management clinic. Forgot it's name.

Hi. I’m on seroquel, gabapentin, methylphenidate, klonopin, and lithium. I had surgery. Had filled out all the meds I take. After surgery I was on norco for 4 or 5 days. Still hurting and severely inflamed. I called the surgeons office. He gave me Tramadol 50 mg every 4 hours and ibuprofen. After about 4 days I started having tremors. Face and neck twisting stretching kind of thing. My left thigh is still numb and leg was very heavy. Also constant clearing my throat and non stop humming or singing or just making grunting noises. I called the pharmacy the next day as I was so wired and shaking I could barely stand up. Obviously they said stop immediately. I also quit the lithium. Now the shaking has gone away some But still clearing throat constantly and humming. It’s driving...

Used it when I had my total knee. Two syllables, I think. Can't take most pain meds, so need to find out. ## I did see your other post and I've done more searching, but I am not finding anything that starts with a T and just has 2 syllables. I know I mentioned Tramadol before, so perhaps you had it prescribed under the brand name, which is Ultram? It's also available with Acetaminophen as Ultracet. Otherwise, some other 2 syllable choices are: Lodine, Mobic, Lorcet, Lortab, Norco and Motrin. Have you talked to your doctor, yet? I'm sure they'd have record of what they prescribed.

Can I get a prescription for norco 7.5 for a surgery I just had a day before I get my usual prescription of hydrocodone 10mg from my pm dr., and not get in trouble? ## Hello frank. I am in GA and I go to pain management for a severe back problem. I signed a narcotic agreement that states I cannot get a pain med prescription from another dr and fill out, without getting permission from the pain dr first. Hope this helps. ## Momof3 is correct, it depends on your doctor's policies and what you agreed to, when you started seeing them. Additionally, since this is a lower dosage than the one you usually take, it isn't likely to help much. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mout...

been going to a doctor that has took very good care of me but need to find a doctor that will prescribe same meds to me in a closer area. ## Back in the old days the Doctor would come to you! I'd stick with your Doc ## Hello, Ricky! How are you? I have to agree with Eddy. If your doctor is still prescribing them without a problem, then your best bet is to stick with them. Due to new regulations that were put in place this year, many new restrictions have been placed on doctors and it's harder for many of them to prescribe any controlled substances. This has caused many people to need to start seeing specialists and most of them have gotten flooded by new patients, so they are full up and have no room for more. You can just browse through the recent posts on this site and you...

hi. I just started oxyneo 10mg. Says on the bottle once a day. When would be the best time? Day or night?? Anyone? ## It depends on what works best for you. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. So, some people do take it at night, so the drowsiness and dizziness are not as strong in the morning. Did your doctor provide any specific instructions?

I have LSE I started on Hydrocodone 7.5's for chronic body pain, i don't know how to count when to take next schedule dosage? which i take every 8 hours i get confused ? ## Hello, Kim! How are you? I would suggest writing down the time, when you take one, that way you can look back at your notes to see if it is time to take the next one, or not. As to the specific count, for instance, if you took one at 8am, your next dose would be at 4pm, then the next at midnight. If you're taking them regularly, then it may be easier for you to do it that way and keep a consistent schedule of when you take them. If you have a smart phone, there are also some free prescription reminder apps that you can download, which you can set to your remind you to take it every 8 hours. Then you don...

My Doctor Always Tells Me It Is The Nature Of All Pain Medications That After Taking Em For A While Effect U Got First Seems To Start Decline This Should Be Obvious As Body Gets Used Get Less And Then Need Stronger Dosage So On When Are They Gonna Create Med Keeps Working Everytime Take Without Having Increase Same Or Amount Relief ## Due to the way the human body works, the answer to your question is never, it isn't possible for them to create one that will do that. Your body will eventually get used to any thing that you ingest regularly, from a medication to your morning coffee and the effects it had at the beginning will start to wear off. If you want the same effects back, you'll always have to adjust the amount you take in, switch to something else, or take a break from it...

Before I start, I would like to thank the person that responds to this. I have looked online for recommendations, with no success. I won't bore you with the details. I just didn't know where to turn and everyone (most everyone) is so helpful and knowledgeable ## I dont know where you live but in Oklahoma to get anything more than tramadol you have to see a pain specialist and he has to be reffered by a pcp. ## Hello, Jam! How are you? Thank you, Trish, for your response. I just want to let everyone know that this is applicable to all states. If anyone requires long-term, ongoing treatment for chronic pain, they'll need to see a pain management specialist. Jam, what is your general location? This information may enable someone to suggest a good doctor in your area.

As for the Kolonapin, valium and ativan. Over the past 4 years, ive used all three. First was valium 10mg tid. It help some with the anxiety but not enuf. It also helped a bit as a muscle relaxer. But my then dr changed me to ativan 1mg, tho he was against it. I changed dr's in sept 2013 who is a general prac, but also a pain mgmt dr. He didnt like the ativan either, mostly cuz I was getting 150 pillz a month so he recently ( dec 2013) switched me to kolonapin 1mg four times daily. I havent noticed major difference between them but so far the kolonapin is working best. As for pain, they only increase meds and dosage. Started with vicodin 5, 7.5 & 10mgs. Then old dr switched me to methodone 10mg 3x daily which didnt work at all, hence reason for changing drs. We looked at my inju...

I just needed to get off my pain meds after back surgery and cant get threw the methadone withdrawals so my doc gave me the clonazepam for withdrawals and being able to sleep. The anxiety and RLS was so bad I couldn't stand it. I just want to get through the methadone withdrawal "hump" and then off everything so how long can I take the clonazepam before my body will need to wean myself off that. Instead of just stopping it in a few weeks like I plan, just enough to get through the methadone withdrawals. Thanks! ## It normally takes about 4 to 6 weeks, before your body really adjusts to having any medication regularly. If you take it for that time period, or longer, then you ...

I was prescribed Percocet in the hospital. In the hospital they were giving me 2 every 4 hours. I continued that at home. Today when I ran out I looked at the bottle and I was supposed to switch to one every 4 hours. They also prescribed Norco 5 for after I finished the Percocet, so since I didn't have any I started the Norco today. I am in pain and they aren't working. I didn't sleep at all last night. What do I do? ## You don't say what mg the Percocets were but Norco is a totally different medication, it is not as strong as the Percocets. In my experience Advil works better than Norcos. ## The percocets were 5 and the norcos are 5. I have had gastric bypass so I cannot take NSAIDS. I did call the dr today and they are calling in flexeril. ## Please post back and let u...
