absolutely not one shred of pain relief. This medication against all the scary stories about narcotics, I was desperate for pain relief, so I needed something, have been getting my scripts now for almost two years, with my periodic UA, which is all good. Because of the help of this medication, I have been able to return to school and not too farm from earning my Bachelors in clinical psychology with a focus mental healthcare, especially PTSD from childhood trauma and PTSD from our veterans from combat. I desire to really help others with ADHD/ADD, childhood abuse, addiction and recovery, there is a huge difference in taking medication which is regulated and not mis-used or abused, than taking for non-pain related reasons. I have even been able to enjoy my grandson that just turned three...

spine surgery and pain meds not working
2 Replies RSS
I was prescribed Percocet in the hospital. In the hospital they were giving me 2 every 4 hours. I continued that at home. Today when I ran out I looked at the bottle and I was supposed to switch to one every 4 hours. They also prescribed Norco 5 for after I finished the Percocet, so since I didn't have any I started the Norco today. I am in pain and they aren't working. I didn't sleep at all last night. What do I do? ## You don't say what mg the Percocets were but Norco is a totally different medication, it is not as strong as the Percocets. In my experience Advil works better than Norcos. ## The percocets were 5 and the norcos are 5. I have had gastric bypass so I cannot take NSAIDS. I did call the dr today and they are calling in flexeril.

percocet dosage limits 5/325

I am taking the percocet 512 white tablets 5mg/325 for severe back pain due to degenerating disc(s). I have been told 1 pill every 8 hours, but find the pain so excruciating after about 5 hours that I cannot even stand... even to use the bathroom or shower. My MD cannot get me into a specialist until August, but I am having real stress here. Will it be harmful for me to take more than the one tablet per 8 hours?? ## your comment seems strange to me brcause my MD prescribed me some of same percocet and on the bottle it says take 1 or 2 tablets every 4 or 6 hours according to pain or even as needed for pain. I have been taking 2 every 9 or 10 hours Lately, though, I realize that if I do not take a pill I start to feel pain in my shoulders, and my chest is agitated. So I just stopped takin...

What Is Stronger/Longer lasting Than 10mg Percocet
32 Replies RSS
My primary dr has me on 10 mg percocet, 2 every 4 hrs for chronic/severe leg pain but it has lost it's effectiveness. I have appt w/pain mgt clinic on the 18th for the 1st time and am hoping they rx something stronger & definitely something that lasts longer. I haven't slept a full night in almost 2 years due to waking up in pain, taking meds, waiting for them to kick in and waiting to fall asleep again. Does anyone have an educated guess on what they may rx or what works well for this problem? Just curious and very excited at the prospect of having this pain under control. ## There are actually several time released medications that they may choose from. The most commonly used contains Oxycodone, it's called Oxycontin. There's also a time released Morphine available...

Is there such thing as a 25mg Percocet? If so, what is the shape and color of the medication? ## No, there is not. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, the maximum dosage available contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. What are the markings on the tablet in question?

I'm having surgery tomorrow morning (Tuesday) on my elbow to repair the Ulnar nerve as well as Carpal tunnel surgery. I took a Percocet yesterday evening (Sunday) for pain. Will this affect my surgery tomorrow? ## No, this medication is not a blood thinner. It contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen and is classified as a narcotic analgesic. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as constipation, dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, and headache. Is there anything else I can help with?

does percocet show up as oxycodone in a urine test
2 Replies RSS
My husband took 30 mg of oxycodone. Is that the same as a oxycodone 5-325mg or will it come out different in a urine test? Will that be a problem for his pain management? ## Hi I'm wondering if it was the same or not. What was the outcome? ## Oxycodone 30s and oxycodone 5 325 test the same. Either test as opiate or oxycodone on a more detailed test. Just stronger milagram without the cut in it.

alvogen percocet 10 yellow round 230

Just got these pills from my pharmacy after getting long white ones with the imprint m523 on it which by the way I love. But these new ones from alvogen are absolutely horrible!! I am still in a lot of pain and the feeling I get from them are next to nothing like the m523 I am wondering if the pharmacy will exchange them for me if they have my old ones in stock? Anyone know the answer to this? Thank you in advance ## I am very sorry that they aren't working for you. However no, your pharmacy can't exchange them, so to speak, because once you leave the building with them, they can't take them back, as tampering is a concern. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an...

Percocet - one every 8 hours
2 Replies RSS
I have a prescription for Percocet that was filled 4/25/17. I have 90 pills. The directions are one every 8 hours. Is that a 30 day supply? I have a refill on file at the pharmacy that was hand carried at the same time this one was. Sometimes I need to take more than one every 8 hours. I have spinal/disc issues and a pinched nerve to boot. Just trying to figure out when it's okay to call for the next refill. I don't want to break any laws! I am surprised how out of control the drug use has become when it comes to pain killers. ## Yes, that would be 3 a day, for a 30 day supply, unless the directions say to take it as needed, then your doctor might expect it to last longer. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, s...

What Does A Name Brand 10mg 325 Percocet Pill Look Like
14 Replies RSS
I recently re-filled my pain management prescripton for "Percocet 10/325MG and they look totaly different from my usual "Name Brand Percoset's" Why do they look different and what should they look like? ## The name brand Percocet in that dosage is an oblong, yellow tablet with the word Percocet on one side and 10-325 on the other. As to why yours look different, it is highly possible that you received a generic this time. There are many of them on the market and how they look and what the markings are will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some of the imprints and descriptions include: WATSON 932, round, white IP 204, oval, white M532 10/325, oblong, white 106, round, white And this is not a comprehensive list, it's just a couple of examples. THNX 4 ANY REPLIES N INSIGHT ## Based on my research, there aren't any interactions found between Percocet and Adderall. This doesn't necessarily mean that no interactions exist, but my references state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. Percocet 7.5 , 35 tablets in 5 days

My father turned 74 on May 2, he had a kidney stone broke up with the laser procedure and a stint put in to help him pass the pieces of the broken up stone. His doctor gave him Percocet 7.5 with directions of "take 1 to 2 pills every 4 hours as needed for pain. He's taken 35 pills in the span of (Friday 3p.m. to now Wednesday night 11p.m.) and he still has 15 more left. Is this too many or too much for him to be taking? ## That averages out to not quite 6 pills a day, so he is taking them as directed according to prescribing info you've provided. How is he doing, now? Has there been any change? The FDA does warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

what does a 10 mg generic percocet look like

Show me how the 10mg with no 325.want to see color size ## I'm sorry, but once a medication is available as a generic, it is manufactured by many different companies. All of the tablets are different and have different markings, so I cannot possibly post details on all of them for you. However, if you have a tablet that you are questioning and post back with its description and the markings on it, I will gladly check for you to see what it contains. Additionally, all Percocet tablets contain Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, if you are looking for information on one with the Acetaminophen, then it is just an Oxycodone tablet. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipat...

What's the difference between Percocet and oxycodone
2 Replies RSS
The doctor prescribed me Percocet and the pharmacy gave me the generic which is oxycodone/acetaminophen 5-325. What's the difference in the 2? Also idk why the pharmacy gave me the generic, can they change it? ## Under current U.S. laws, your pharmacy has to give you the generic, if one is available, unless you are paying cash for a medication and ask them to give the name brand. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, so you have received the correct medication. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have cervical stenosis of the neck with a bulging disc. I also have spinal compression and severe pain f...

Doctors Who Prescribe Pain Killers In Philadelphia
1195 Replies RSS
Hi, My current doctor has decided that it would be best to stop my monthly prescription for 30mg percocets. I have chronic back pain from skiing injuries and other sports related problems. I have never abused or taken more than was suggested. I never got "high" and was always able to work and interact with clients in a positive way. Now without the medication, the pain is becoming a distraction. Does anyone know a doctor who isn't scared to prescribe common pain killers. They are produced for a reason, but recent uptake in illegal abuse has made doctors uneasy with long term prescriptions? I live in the Philadelphia area (main line) but I am familiar with the greater Philadelphia metro area. Thank you and kind regards. ## I think you may be confusing medication names and if ...

how long does it take percocet to show up in your urine after taking 10mg pill TID (three times a day)
275 Replies RSS
Need to know how long after taking a dose of percocet 10mg three times a day when will it show up in the urine? ## Percocet is a trade name of Endo Pharmaceuticals for a narcotic pain killer containing oxycodone and acetaminophen. It is used to treat moderately severe to severe acute (short-term) pain. The main ingredients of Percocet are oxycodone, and acetaminophen. Percocet can show up in the urine for up to three to five days after taking it. Since you are taking it three times a day, I would recommend getting a note from your doctor so you can show the place where you are taking the test that is a prescription. Getting Prescriptions From 2 Different Doctors For Pain Meds But There Are Conditions
502 Replies RSS
Well I just really need to know if what I am doing is considered doctor shopping. I fell at at department store and injured my knee. Now I have to go to the doctor the lawyer sent me to. He prescribes pain meds for me but the only thing he can treat is my knee. I started having back problems. My primary care doctor sent me to a different doctor and he also gives me meds. But the pharmacy said they would call the doctors and tell on me. So I went and ahead and told the doctors myself so that it would not look as bad. What do you think will happen to me? The pharmacy refused to give me back my prescription. Can they do that? ## Yes, when you are getting medications from more than one doctor, regardless of the condition, that is the very definition of doctor shopping. Logically, if one doc...
