I started my period thursday of last week and it was suppose to stop yesterday but it is still bleeding pretty badly and today is monday. When will this stop? ## Hi Audrey, Are you currently taking any medications, (such as birth control) that might be attributing to the severity of your period? From what I've heard, it is rather common for periods to last as long as a couple weeks. This may be due to a number of reasons (diet, hormones, stress, anxiety, etc), but I would recommend going in to see a gynecologist at your convenience, if it doesn't subside within the next week. I hope this info helps! ## Yes, I am taking Lo Loestrin Fe. Your info was very helpful and informing.. Greatly appreciated !

If I get my period while still on the "active" pills do I continue to take them as normal? Is that an overdose of hormones? ## No, it is not an overdose, breakthrough bleeding is actually a normal side effect of hormonal contraceptives and can occur for the first few months you are taking them. And yes, you should continue taking them, just as normal. Is there anything else I can help with?

After stopping loestrin fe 1/20 how soon can I get my next period? Please help. We are ready for a baby. (: ## Hello, Lala! How are you? It's difficult to say, because it will usually take awhile for your body to balance your hormones back out on its own and for ovulation to occur. You should consult your doctor to be sure, but it's usually said to take about 3 months for things to get back to normal and for you to be able to get pregnant. Are there any other questions or concerns?

Good afternoon I have started with Topzole and must admit it is the best I have tried for heartburn. Just would like to know is it habit forming/how long can I use it/must I have in between breaks. Tx ## Hello, Estelle! How are you? Topzole contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that helps reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. Learn more Topzole details here. Side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness and stomach pain. No, it is not known to be habit forming and if you are taking it over the counter, rather than by doctor's prescription, it should only be taken for a period of 2 weeks. Prolonged use increases the risk of hip fractures. Have you consulted your doctor?

Her periods always back by 7/10 days. But this time it is about 20 days passed. Kindly suggest, does she needs any medicines ? Or is there be any problem for her ? ## @Rishabh, Sorry to hear about your daughter's experience with Dicorate (Divalproex). From what I've read, this medication can have a strange effect on the regularity or presence of one's menstrual cycle, and it does actually list this as a side effect on the drug's prescribing packet. Unfortunately, there's really no way to know for sure when/if her cycle...

I have had a tubligation so.I don't believe I am pregnant. For 3 weeks I had a "brown" period but it was not enough to need anything more than.a pantie liner. 4 days ago I started what seemed to be my normal period but lighter than normal. I usually only have cramps for.the first 24 hours. This time I am having severe cramps and it hasn't gone away nor have I stopped bleeding ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The brown is usually old blood that hasn't been passed during prior cycles. With it going on for weeks and then the severe cramping, it sounds like you may have had a sudden hormonal shift. Have you consulted your doctor? You should do so to have things checked out.

i had the jadelle put in about a few months ago my first period lasted for about 10 days, but this one has lasted me two weeks it was light in the middle but then got real heavy again, plus ive become a complete super b**** and, is it still settling? is it normal? ## Hello, Renee! How are you doing? I am very sorry about the problems that you're having. And yes, such side effects can be normal, while your body is adjusting to the hormones in the Jadelle. It may take a few months for things to balance back out and be more normal. However, if the bleeding gets heavier, it would be best to consult your doctor to be sure that all is well. Is there anything else I can help with?

I Just Started Taking This Pill A Week Ago On A Sunday And That Same Day Finished My Period. Its A Week That Has Gone By And I Just Started My Period Again on This Sunday. I Have Not Been Taking My Pills On A Set Time Why Did I Start My Period Again I'm Only 15 And I'm Scared I Need Advice Please! ## This is a hormonal based contraceptive, so what you're experiencing is most likely what's called break through bleeding, rather than an actual menstrual cycle. It is normal for this to occur, especially when you are new to taking such medications and it may continue for as long as the first 3 months. Learn more oral contraceptive details here. Taking it at the same time every day, so there aren't any gaps between them of larger than 24 hours will also help minimize this ...

Ok so I've been on the Junel 21 for two months. I finished my pack last thursday. I am on day six of no pill and still no period. However I do have a yeast infection that i have no clue where it came from. Is it possible i'm pregnant and if so how soon can I take a pregnancy test to found out? ## If you've been engaging in intercourse, there is always the risk of pregnancy, but it's not very likely if you haven't missed taking any of your active tablets. It can be normal to occasionally skip a period, and sometimes yeast infections, and the medications to eradicate can also throw your cycle off, you may also experience irregular cycles due to changes in physical activity, stress levels, and other factors. Some people that take oral contraceptives stop having periods ...

Ok, so I just got married and started the pill right before I got married. The first month everything was normal and I started my period like clockwork the first day of the white pill. Month number 2 rolls around, I am on my 3rd day of white pills and no period. Should I be concerned. Is pregnancy possible. As far as I know I have not missed any blue pills and done very well in taking them. ## If you are worried, it never hurts to consult your doctor, just in case. However, menstrual irregularities are normal, when you are new to taking hormonal contraceptives, because your body does have to adjust to the changes in hormones and you may experience irregular bleeding, or missed periods for the first 3 months, or so. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I have taken two packs of ...

Hi,iv been using nustrate for like 3 years now and suddenly I'm experiencin period pains and when I check I'm on them but they look brownish, and its 4 the 1st tym.wat myt b da problem? ## Hello, Confused! How are you doing? The pain/cramping can happen at any point in your life, if your hormone levels fluctuate. Generally, brown blood is old blood that wasn't fully eliminated during your last cycle, so it's being cleaned out during this one. Have they been lighter than usual? That frequently causes it. Have you consulted your doctor? Having them check things out would be the best idea.

Now I'm on my second pack and took the last brown pill today. I haven't gotten my period and start my 3rd pack tomorrow. Is this normal ? ## Hello, Krys! How are you? Yes, some women don't have periods while taking oral contraceptives and it's nothing to worry about, unless your doctor feels there is reason to be concerned.
