Lovenox Enoxaparin

Enoxaparin sodium is an anticoagulant medication (blood thinner).[6] It is used to treat and prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) including during pregnancy and following certain types of surgery.[6] It is also used in those with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and heart attacks.[6] It is given by injection just under the skin or into a vein.[6] It is also used during hemodialysis.[3]&#...

I started Saphris a few months ago and it has been great. It is not a pill to swallow, it is like a tiny little white pancake you put under your tounge. You can't eat/drink for 10 minutes. They came out with a new black cherry taste so it does not bother me a bit. Anyways, it is helping me think clearer. I have also been a lot less hungry and i think i am losing a few pounds! My insurance didn't take it either but then i got a prior authorization and it was approved for the maximum amount and i am to the max dose and my insurance pays for it except i have to pay about 4$ a month for it...so it also helps with sleep, bipolar and schizoaffective disorder. I would highly recommend it,,, ## Awesome! I'm very glad that it's working so well for you! Have you experienced any of...

I have been taking lovenox post heart attack for 4 days. Is it ok to take plavix too ? ## WHEN I CAN USE PLAVIX AFTER FINISH WITH LOVENOX ## Both Lovenox and Plavix are blood thinners, so you should always follow your doctor's instructions for taking them, and not combine them, unless specifically instructed to do so, since it could create an increased risk of bleeding, and possible hemorrhage. Are either of you on any other medications? In the case of heart attack, you should take the one your doctor has told you to take, for your own safety. Do you know what caused your heart attack?

for getting an authorization thru pt's insurance what cpt code do we use for Lovenox? ## I HAVE THE SAME DOUBT ## If you can't get it through the insurance company, apply directly to the mfg. When my husband was told he would need to be on Lovenox the rest of his life, we checked with our local Walmart and was told that the monthly prescription cost for 60 shots was going to be $8,100 (no, this is not a typo) without any insurance contribution. With his Part D contribution, the price went down to $5,100 which still wasn't an option. He applied to the mfg for relief and was denied since he had private Part D insurance. He appealed the decision and was authorized by the mfg to receive the Lovenox at no cost.

Hi there, I wud jst like to know, I've been on oracle for over a year I skipped a month and a half of taking the pill, and now I'm going on quick getaway with my bf in a weeks time, and now my period seems to fall on those days..I have now taken the white pill so that my red pills fall on the following week..would this work? ## Unless your doctor gives you some specific reason not to do so, you can just skip your period week, so you don't start then, yes. You may still experience some spotting/breakthrough bleeding, though. Is there anything else I can help with?

Need ASAP please and I just got a new jon and will no longer have insurance as of May 1, need to fill a script before then if i go the doc route! What can I do with 8 boxes of this expensive drug? ## The only thing I can suggest is taking it into your doctor or to your pharmacist and let them handle it. Some states have a program where you can turn in left-over medications and they are then provided to people without insurance at a very steep discount. Otherwise, I really can't help, since giving them to someone else is considered illegal. Have you tried contacting a pharmacy to ask? ## I would like to look into a way to get them donated...I am going through Chemo and today they found a blood clot and prescribed Lovenox. I then got the call from the pharmacy that my prescription limit has been met and I have to pay out of pocket which is not possible for me...please don't dispose of them... ## I'd like to help, but I ...

Tapering off of Cymbalta and starting 10 mg of Trintellix for 7 days soon to increase to 20 mg. I have suffered with Major Depressive Disorder for 23 years. Tried so many antidepressants and settled with Cymbalta. Take Abilify 20 mg. No side effects so far. Seem to have less fatigue, more energy and increased ability to focus. I have ADD and take 70 mg Vyvanse. Overall, very pleased with Trintellix. I can honestly say this was a Godsend. My family has noticed a difference in me already. Amazing drug well worth the high cost. Blessed insurance finally agreed to cover after several appeals and pleas for help. ## Awesome! I am so happy that this medication is working so well for you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and constipation....

I have been taking Lovenox for 1 1/2 years for a DVT (ankle to groin) and multiple clots in my lungs (all four quadrants). No one can figure out WHY I grew the super clot...it did not reabsorb and is still there. I had a Tulip filter put in before surgery (remove ovary) because suspected cancer...pathology was normal, but the CA 'number' went down. I now have osteoporosis (my Dr. says is from Lovenox)...I don't want more clots, what am I to do???? ## Clots are generally related to one's diet and/or smoking habits. In my honest opinion the best way to clear blood clots is to clean your blood. The best way to clean your blood is to eat primarily fruits and vegetables in their fresh raw state. For something similar to a blood transfusion, I'd highly recommend a double s...

Need to know what the use and ingredients. cholesterol use, fish oil in medicine ## Back in June 08 I had my Cholesterol checked as ordered by my family doctor, and was shocked to hear that my over all Cholesterol was 260 and my LDL was 168. My family doctor recommended I try Loveza before trying any other Cholesterol lowering medications. I took Loveza for 3 month and did another blood work, and amazingly enough, my over all cholesterol level went down from 260 to 211 and my LDL went down from 168 to 143. I will keep taking Loveza and avoid all the side effects with other cholesterol lowering medications. Next time you visit your doctor check to see if Loveza is right for you. ## Boy if that was not a scripted comment i dont know what is. ## Never mind i Googled the name he is a medica...

Been on Dali Resp for 11 months. It was given to me after a very bad flare up of COPD. Was hospitalized for 3 days. I have to say I have not been sick at all since taking Dali Resp. My breathing is back to normal and I don't need my inhalers either. Since Jan I have lost 40 lbs so that is a help. But I think the Dali REsp restored my breathing back to normal. Dali Resp is suppose to just make flare-ups less severe it says nothing about helping your breathing. I think we got a bonus with Dali Resp rest it lessens flares ups and helps breathing. It is expensive but it is worth every penny. I am glad my ins pays for it my co pay monthly is 20.00 ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? I'm so glad that it's working so well for you! That's awesome!!! I was a pack a day smoker (sometimes more) until last May of 2008. I decided to quit and I did by using Nicorette gum. Well, needless to say, I became addicted to the gum. That sort of defeats the purpose of quitting or atleast getting away from the nicotine addiction. About 5 months into my journey with the gum I began chipping or cheating with the smokes again. Finding little excuses to do it like us smokers do. Sure enough about 6 months of chipping at it lead me right back to a pack a day. I tolerated myself for a few weeks, but I am destined to quit, so I asked the doc for Chantix. I read up about it before I did, and I asked him his opinion and he said he recommends it. So I started the stuff Monday 3-3-09 and today is day 9 for me...I quit smoking by wednesday 3-5-09. I didn'...

I took Lovenox as a post surgical bridge therapy for my coumadin needs. I had a radical prostectomy and began lovenox treatment about 30 hours afterwards. Within 2 days I was readmitted to the hospital with a massive internal hemitoma. My bladder tore away from my urethra and left me with permanent nerve damage in my legs and facing numerous surguries including urethra reconstruction. I've had a catheter for over a year and a half. Be VERY careful with this drug. I now opt for heparin which is monitored in Hospital until my coumadin levels are acceptable. This drug is not FDA approved for these uses, please use caution.

So I decided to finally go back on medication, and am on Vyvanse. I stopped taking meds for my ADHD when i was about 14 as I was getting depressed from it then. Now, I am 22 and finishing up my last year at University and I am at a place where I know I need help to focus. This week I haven't taken it totally consistently since going back on, but when I have, the second consecutive day has been extremely helpful. My concentration and motivation to get work done that I need to cannot even be compared to what it is without the medication.I am on a 40mg dose. However, I have noticed I am starting to make unreasonable demands of my better half. I also know this in my head, not just after but beforehand. I'm like "oh no, here it comes. I hope I don't do something stupid." ...

I was given a shot of Lovenox after being admitted to the hospital. I had NEVER had Lovenox before. I felt just fine while sitting there talking to the nurse before the shot. She gave me the shot and suddenly I WAS NOT FINE! I had extreme nausea and shortness of breath, I felt faint, weak and shakey! I asked to see a DR. ASAP as I had NEVER felt o SICK in my life! The Dr. stated that the shot could not have done this to me! I contiued to feel extremely sick, with above symptoms for the next 12 hours, and I am still not RIGHT! I developed a bad case of Gastrtis, and stomach pain, loss of appetite and EXTREME weakness, Diarreaha for the next 16 days. I have researched the drug LOVENOX on the internet and found tha other patients reported the same symptoms, yet the Drs. say that Lovenox di...

I have been on Xarelto for 2 years for DVT my doctor said, I have to be on it indefinitely. My problem is, I have 2 pills left and my insurance has been cancelled. I'm in the process of getting new coverage but it takes 5 to 7 business days. Can I go without Xarelto for several days? Should I take a Lovenox inj. that was prescribed for me before I started taking Xarelto? Would this be a problem? ## Hello, Nickie! How are you? Have you found a solution, yet? It would be best to call your doctor to ask them, before using the Lovenox. These medications may cause side effects such as nausea, increased risk of bleeding, easy bruising, and dizziness. As to the Xarelto, you should also be able to just purchase a few days worth from your pharmacy, until your new insurance coverage begins.

How does Lovenox bridge therapy work? I need an explanation in full detail. Thanks ## Lovenox contains the active ingredient Enoxaparin, it is used for its ability to thin the blood, to prevent clotting. Bridge therapy refers to using it, for its immediate effects, during a time period when the patient is started on a new medication, such as Warfarin, or when they are at higher risks of blood clots. The dosage of a medication like Warfarin must be carefully adjusted to get the desired results and like many medications, it takes some time to reach its full effect in the body. And since it does, the Lovenox is often used during that time period, to help prevent clotting in the patient, until the Warfarin or another medication can reach its full effectiveness, then the Lovenox is usually s...

I have been on lovenox for 5 days. I am beginning to hate this stuff. I take my shots at 9am and pm. In the morning it seems like I get about 30 minutes after and I am ready to lay down. I also get chills and feel like I am paralyzed.. It makes my legs and arms very heavy to move. I am typing this after my worse night thus far... Do hot my pj's are wet yet if I uncover then I get a chill. This just sucks. I use a compression sock during the day but it makes my legs very itchy and of course I don't want to scratch. ## Hello, Wayne! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.
