Hi ladies... I got my implants removed about 2 weeks ago, and I'm on no contraception at the moment but my partner and I have tried to be careful since. But, we weren't just this one time, and now I'm worried I could get pregnant! My question is; can you get pregnant after having the implants removed, if your period hasn't returned yet? As I have not had one period since. I would appreciate any feedback given. Thanks very much ## It is hard to say, sometimes it takes a few months, before the body will return to normal cycles so you can get pregnant, but that isn't always the case. Have you had yourself checked for pregnancy to find out? ## It's been seven months after the removal of implant..my menstrual cycles are normall ..I want to fall pregnant but nothing is...

Hi - just wondered if anyone else is struggling to get pregnant after having implanon. I have it removed 2 years ago and it took 7 months for me to get a period and when I did the pain made me faint. My periods only now last one day but do come every 28 days... I have been to see my doctor and he was not interested as I already have one child and because of my age 28. I am convinced my hormones are not right? Thanks :) ## You are likely on the right track, both hormonal contraceptives, and your age can contribute to your hormones being off. Ref: Women's Health and Birth Control What type of doctor did you consult, was it a gynecologist, or just a general practitioner? It would likely be best for you to consult a different doctor. Are you on any medications?

I had very heavy periods with alot of cramping so my doctor suggested Cryoablation. Before I did that I had to have a cyst and fibroid removed. He then put me on a 5mg Norethindrone once a day originally for 4 months after the Cryoablation. At my 3 month checkup I still hadn't had a regular period so he told me to stop taking it. It's been a week since I stopped and still no period but terrible headaches daily, some cramping and alot of nausea. I cannot be pregnant so I'm not worried about that but wondering if the side effects are normal and how long I can expect them. ## Hello, Tonya! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. Some women no longer have periods, or have extremely light ones, after having cryoablation done. I'm surprised t...

I had jadelle put in 6 months after I gave birth to my daughter and she is now a year and 10 months old, so I decided to take it off because I am planning to get pregnant but I have not seen my menstruation for 2 months now after I took it off. I feel really heavy in my tummy but I checked and am not pregnant, should I be nervous now or is it normal? ## Hi! How are you doing? Since Jadelle contains synthetic hormones to prevent pregnancy, it can take while for your body to balance back out on its own, once it's been removed and for ovulation to start occurring again. I cannot afford to get it removed right now, I have no health insurance. Thanks ## Just like when taking any other medication, withdrawal of contraceptive hormones can cause withdrawal effects, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience dizziness, PMS-like symptoms and spotting. However, it would be best to have things checked out, as soon as possible.
