My doctor's game plan is to bring me up very slowly, 25 mg/day for maybe 3 days, then 25 two times a day for a couple of weeks, and over a very long period of time up to 150 because I was very sensitive to my first dose of 50 mg. I'm finding the doctors I've been to are playing games with patients. So, now I'm looking for a new doctor. HELP! WHY---> I've had three surgeries on my arm. I just snapped it again from overuse. I pay to go to appointment. They take $500.00 in xrays- charge me - run my urine, run my labs, and say they can't write me a script? My arm is swollen red and I smell of bengay. My Dr diagnosed me with Fibro almost 2 years ago. I took a drug last year playing the insurance game. It was an anti-depressent and I swear to you it made my crazy! I am sensitive to drugs that alter my mind and that was the worst. But the insurance insisted I needed to take it before they would give me a Fibro med. I was on 75mcg since about March of 2013 for a comp injury. It was a game changer b/c it allowed me to walk again, pain free. But, in the end it became a necessary evil. Drs wouldn't touch me b/c I was on it. No pain control after surgeries, etc. I've wanted off of it for some time and finally started a taper a few months back under the supervision of a pharmacist and doctor. The plan was to taper me down a little then switch me to the Butrans patch. First off I have been reading on MedChat about new restrictions doc's are going to need to follow if they wanna stay in the pm game. Please only answer if you know what these rules are and you can name your source along with your answer. Hello, I am 39 years old and have been prescribed vyvanse for almost 8 years. Being diagnosed with this as an adult was a game changer for me in so many ways and what I have been able to achieve.
