Celexa 10mg

I have been takong celexa for 7 days for anxiety. Well my anxiety is far worse from before and lets just say I havent slept in days, which I never had an issue with sleeping either. Can I stop taking cold turkey since its only been 7 days, or do I have to taper off? ## After only 7 days, you can most likely just stop, but you should double check this with your doctor, to be safe. In most cases, I'd try to encourage someone to stick it out for a month or so, because side effects tend to taper off around that time as your body gets used to a medication, however, increased anxiety and insomnia are two of the most difficult problems to live with, so this most likely just isn't the right medication for you. Good Morning, I started on 10mg Celexa (Citalopram) at the end of May 2015. Two weeks into the medication I had sever nausea. I could not keep anything down. This has been non stop to this day and Doc wouldn't prescribe me nausea medicine. 4 weeks into Celexa and I had my first anxiety attack. I have only had one once before in my life before I started antidepressants. A few days later another attack would occur that kept me from leaving the house on my birthday. My doctor prescribed me 10mg of celexa + 0.5 mg of klonopin both for anxiety, and I take 20 mg of methadone daily for chronic pain from a clinic. Can I take 2 10mg celexa at the same time?? Would it be the same as taking a 20mg??? ## Yes, it would be equivalent to taking a 20mg, as long as they are both the regular release formulation tablets. My doctor even suggests I do it, if we're upping the dose of something, to use up the pills I've already purchased, before spending money on more. Learn more Celexa details here. I have both Anxiety and Depression, tried several SSRIs that didn't work. Dr put me on Celexa 10mg beginning April 1st...he warned me it would be rough at first. THAT is the truth... Hi, I have been on 20mg of Citalopram (Celexa) for a year and starting to come off them. I was taking 2 x 10 mg tablets a day. So I started by alternating 2x10mg one day followed by 1x10mg the next day and alternating for a few weeks. Well that was the plan, but I felt no side effects after 3 days so figured I could go down to 10mg a day. I was on 10mg a day for about 3 days and had no withdrawal symptoms, so again figured I had this tapering stuff sorted and then decided to go to 10mg every other day. Then it hit me, I felt like I had the flu... which is my main question, people talk about side effect symptoms like brain zaps and nausea, I havent had any of those. I just started 37.5 mg of Effexor a week ago and I am also weening off 10mg of celexa. I just feel so so so weird! Just BLAH. Wanna lay around and have a short temper and disconnected. I starting taking viibryd after having no luck on lexapro, paxil, celexa, effexor, toprol, wellbutrin etc etc. Started on 10mg starter pack and went up to 40 fairly quickly. Family noticed that I was much more agitated and crying all the time...also have frequent suicidal thoughts...which aren't typical. I told both the therapist and psyc about this. Now both think i should try a tricyclic drug Pamelor. Has anyone tried this after no luck w/ the common SSRI's. Specifically interested in if I can start on the Pamelor while still weening off V. I'm on 15mg now b/c i had moderate dizziness going from 20mg V straight to 10mg. My body seems very sensitive to weening. Hello I was on effexor xr 75 mg for 5 years then went to celexa 20mg for a month. Then decided to go cold turkey lasted 2 months. Psychiatrist put me on 20mg of prozac which almost drove me crazy lasted 2 weeks. Then started viibryd 10mg for 2 weeks felt really dizzy and wobbly on my legs.. I also feel when I close my eyes I'm on a rocking boat. I'm currently on 5mg i got changed psychiatrist and he mentioned viibryd is not on his list of medications so I might be switched again. Hi all...I'm now on Day 6 of Viibrd 10mg starter pack. My headaches have gone way, thank goodness, and no migraines! I did have one horrible day of "tummy issues" but that seems to be going away too. I'm worried that once I switch to the 20 mg of Viibryd that will happen again..and it's miserable especially when you work in an office like me. I feel good moodwise, however,and no other side effects. I stop the half Celexa pill on Wednesday so I am sort of worried about that. I got Sandoz for the first time. Taken many other generics over the years. I have been awake for 48 hours. Can not sleep just lay in bed. I'm on 10mg four times daily. Last one taken 9 hours before. Racing thoughts and pointless projects since taking them. Feels some what the same when I tried crystal 10 years ago. Tried neighbors ambian to sleep, no effect. Anyone else have these issues?
