My baby is 17 months old and I only have miralax that says it expired March 2013 and it's February 2015 ## Hi Lakisha, According to consumer reviews on Amazon, MiraLAX laxative powder is reported to have a 6 month shelf life. And while I realize some medications are still deemed safe to take after the expiration date, I would still encourage you to get a new one since you're using it on a 17 month old baby who's system may be more sensitive to any slight degradation in the product. I hope this helps!

I've never had a blood pressure issue and since taking MiraLAX for a week for constipation my lood pressure was 166/104! Could it be the MiraLAX? ## I double checked the side effects, both the consumer and professional listings, but I didn't find anything about it causing hypertension. Ref: (MiraLAX / Polyethylene glycol 3350) MedlinePlus "The effect of stimulant laxatives and polyethylene glycol-electrolyte lavage solution for colonoscopy preparation on serum electrolytes and hemodynamics": However, I think you should consult with your doctor for an exam and further testing, because while it isn't listed a side effect or reaction, other users have reported experiencing this from MiraLAX and their blood pressure went back to normal when they stopped using it. I take gentilax recently but I'm scared of reading all this reviews about the carcinogenic effect that this homeopathic pill has. Can someone explain me a little bit more of this? should i still take it? BEST ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE. ## Replying to lopes isabel: In the 1990's scientists overdosed laboratory rats giving them dosages of phenolphthalein hundreds and thousands of times higher than what a human would normally take. In my opinion, this slanted the findings of their tests. Just look in the past times that since phenolphthalein was first used as a laxative in 1906, millions upon millions of people have taken it over the years and they've been perfectly fine. I've had many friends and family members who used phenolpthalein laxatives regularly back in the days when i...

I have been taking redotex since 3 months, and the first 2 weeks 1 start to loose weight, approximatly in this 3 months i have been lost arround 20-22 pounds, I am not experienced any side effect, It works to me very good!!! Just that i feel my mouth very dry and i have to be drinking water, but not another thing..I think that is different in each person. But my question is that if this pill could affect me because i am trying to get pregnant.. ## Have you discussed this with your doctor? I can tell you that it is probably not a good idea to use once you do get pregnant. The U.S. FDA banned this from being sold or imported here and for very good reason, it contains a dangerous mix of medications. Redotex contains Amphetamines, Diazepam (a Benzodiazepine), depressants, laxatives, diureti...

Hi im taking Redotex for a month and a week. I lost 14 pounds now but this past 2 days my stomach feels ill like an upset stomach ache. I thought it was because of something I ate, a lot of chili. But I have been feeling weak, my body hurts, and I am a bit bloated. I have dry mouth, anyone experience the same? And can I intake vitamins with Redotex since my eating is very poor now and I might have anemia? ## Hello, Jen! How are you? The FDA issued an import alert about Redotex awhile ago, because it was found to contain undeclared drug ingredients, in a possibly dangerous combination. Their lists includes a hormone, a stimulant, a respiratory/circulatory stimulant, a laxative, and benzodiazepine depressant. They have banned it in the U.S. I'm thinking that those ingredients likely e...

This is my second day with respect and in the evening I had a real bad headache. I wonder if I can take any pain medication like tylenol? Also while on redotex can I take benadryl or zzzquil which is a sleep aid? ## Hello, Milagros! How are you? Redotex is actually not considered safe to take and the FDA has issued warnings that it be seized at customs and not allowed into the U.S., due to the fact that it contains a dangerous mix of drugs to cause weight loss. It's been found to contain diuretics, laxatives, thyroid hormones, depressants and antihistamines, all of which could also cause problems if you have any existing medical conditions or are on any other medications. It would be best to stop taking it and inform you doctor that you were on it, so they can monitor you for any po...
