Will Fentanyl Show Up In Drug Test As An Opiate (Page 2)

Man the amount of people who have no clue what they are talking about yet spitting advice on it like they are an expert is bewildering. NO FENTANYL does not show up as an opiate on any test anywhere. In fact the only things that will show up as an opiate are morphine, codeine, and heroin and that is because heroin and morphine metabolize into morphine. Not even oxycodone or hydrocodone can be detected as an opiate they have to be specifically tested for as they metabolize differently, same with methadone, methadone has to be specifically tested for, it will not show up as anything but methadone. So unless the test you are taking is specifically testing for fentanyl then you will be fine. The question is whether or not the test you are taking is testing for fentanyl. I have yet to see a piss test that does test for it. Even if they sent it to a lab for testing they would have to tell the lab what to look for and that they specifically want to know if fentanyl metabolites are present. Anyone that tells you anything different from this has no clue what they are talking about or how opiates and their derivatives are detected after use. Drugs that have been taken are detected by looking for what they metabolize into, in the body and no two drugs metabolize the same unless they are from the same base as I explained in the beginning. Codeine, opium, heroin, and morphine are all detected as opiates because they are all made from opium. An opioid is not made from opium, they just have a somewhat similar structure and create the same effect by binding to the same receptors, but they in no way metabolize into the same metabolites which is essentially the by product of the chemical after the body has processed it. I'm not a pharmacist but clearly know more than you. For something to test positive for opiates the substance must metabolize into 1 of 2 mstabolites. Coedine and morphine. Semi synthetic opiates like fent oxy methadone hydrocodone do not do this. However drug tests for probation/parole are extremely extensive and can not only tell what's in your system but can tell how much. I know methadone oxygen and hydro are all tested individually on probation drug tests. I don't think fentynol is but I'm not 100% on that so I wouldn't risk it. The safest bet is 1 metric s*** load of kratom, its week but if you can down a half once or twice you'll be pinned. Your other option is fake an injury or if you have cavities go to the er and say it kills and your dentist can't see you for a few days and recommended going to the er. Works every time then when they go to give you a script for perks or vics say they are to strong and ask for tylenol with coedine. A Dr will have no problem downgrading your script. And boom shoe probation your script and you can now legally fail for opiates like the all mighty H. Hope this helps friend I been there

Thank you for finally telling the truth. Why some people think Fentanyl would show up on a urine test makes no sense to me. Just like suboxone, I took a full 8 mg suboxone 15 minute before I went and took my screening and my PO said I was clean. I wish these people especially the doctors and other health professionals need to go back to college. Scary to think these are the people we put our precious lives in their hands.

Thank you for posting this, I am on probation and take both fentanyl and hydrocodone. Basically I just wanted to know are you absolutely positive that they won't test positive unless specifically tested for?

I used to be addicted to fentanyl and the first time I ever took a drug test was in detox. I told the nurse that I was using oxy and that's why I was here and so I took a test to confirm that and when she told me my results she told me I didn't have any oxy in my system, in fact I didn't have anything in my system and I knew that was impossible because I knew I was using drugs and shocked when she said that. So I told her that I was using these green pills and explained what it looked like and she knew exactly what I was talking about and told me it was fentanyl and it was fake oxys it was the counterfeit ones I was taking. So she did another test on me it was one that could test for fentanyl and it was positive. For you to test for fentanyl you have to specifically ask for it or it wont show up anything on a test trust me. I was a fentanyl user and you always had to tell that you were wanting to test for fentanyl or it wont show up. Trust me cause I used to be addicted to the drug so I know what Im talking about. I've taken a lot of drug test I mean ALOT I repeat ALOT...ALOT..of testings and that's the truth. any questions?

This just further proves that I really was testing positive from TOUCHING roxys (oxycodone). I was negative for months using fentanyl n then out of no where I had three positives in a 2 week span. I disperse medicine for clients and never thought to use gloves, I never thought that if any amount did seep into my pores that it'd be significant enough to come out in my pee. But thank you

Read man... We all discussed. End result. You're good. Only way it shows up is if they r testing specifically for fentanyl and they're not. They have their 12 panel test n fent isn't on there

I receive regular drug screens (random, once a month) and have been tested the day after using fentanyl. A friend is prescribed the gel patches which I licked out of the patch. Nothing came up or has one other time. That's the truth.

Ive been on fentanyl 100 mcgs for 10 years n never diclosed this to any of my employers. It has NEVER shown up on any of my drug tests as n opiate or Id hav to show them my script. So pharmacist or not ur completely wrong on this one

Look who doesn't know what they're talking about, I have taken absolutely nothing but my doctor prescribed hydrocodone and bought a simple Walgreens over the counter test and tested positive for opiates and that's a simple Walgreens test

That's funny that you say hyrocodone and oxycodone will not show up positive for opiates yet I have failed several tests from taking both and the tests tested positive for opiates so maybe you don't know what your talking about!

I also am a pipeliner. All those u mentioned shows up when u sign up or a random. The reason why u think none of it shows up is because dot testing labs are linked to a national prescription database. Let's say u r positive on opiates. They search and see if u had a prescription within the last year. If you haven't then it's sent off to a gastrometer to see exactly what opiate and then you receive a phone called

If you are a pharmacist, you should be able to spell sometimes. As for all the drugs listed , your drug test will show something, regardless of how much.
My suggestion to everyone asking for help regarding their medications. ASK YOUR DOCTOR. After all , he is the one to answer your questions. Someone else can get you killed.
