It depends on the kind of test they use. I get tested at my doctor and they use specific test. They can tell if I ran out of Opana. They can tell if I took Vicodin instead.

However, they're probably just looking for any drug in you. Most likely it will come up as an Opiate....period. I ran out medication 3 days before I got tested once and I came up clean for everything. Metabolism has a lot to do with it too.

No offense, kid, but you all are the reason us chronic pain sufferers have a hard time getting our meds now. Really ticks me off. What do you do? DO they sell these on the street or do you raid your parents medicine cabinet?

I also have a severe spinal injury. All you ppl that go around using meds as some kind of a joke make ppl like me feel like I'm committing a crime every time I get a prescription filled. For that matter your the reason I get tested in the first place.

Good advice Samantha. You nailed it. Just hope the "kidd" takes the advice seriously. Unfortunately it does hurt people like us and sorry too "kidd:". But you're probably screwed on that issue.

I was with my doctor for 15 years before he retired. I have chronic back pain and over those years we tried me on many pain med regimens. Oxycodone has worked better for me than anything, but I have never been treated so badly by pharmacists. And now that I've had to start with a new doctor all they see is someone walking in the door asking for oxycodone right from the start. They don't care about all the trial and error. Pain medications were created for people in real pain not drug abusers. People need to remember this and stop treating us all badly. You walk in a pharmacy with a legit prescription from a real doctor and you are immediately looked at like a criminal and practically have to beg and pray to have it filled. It has gotten so out of hand. I was rejected from a pharmacy that I had been with for years because he did not want to fill oxycodone. If tylenol worked I would take it, but life just doesn't always work that way.

What will opana show up as in a toxicology report given by the hospital. They took blood from me and I was told that it would show up as heroin. Is this true??

Good point Samantha. I think the situation is starting to improve here in Tampa Florida. It's early 2017. But only after several years of never knowing if the pharmacy will have the necessary meds. There was usually a wait of up to a week. I was getting mine through the UPS for awhile when it was really bad. But I have gotten them on time to the day for almost a year. I use 3 different pharmacies. 2 CVS's and a Publix.
