I live in PA and I also take suboxine 8 mg 2 times a day. I have tried the phentermine due to weight gain as well. I was told not to get contrave because the main ingredients in contrave would put me into withdraw immediately? I was not on the phentermine long enough to see any change. I was to take it for 3 months max due to it being a short term thing and was not seeing any results. I can say I know it works because I know a few others who take it and have had a great amount of weight loss with it. I also want to note I have Aetna Better Health insurance through the county assistance office and my co-pay for my prescriptions are almost always only $1.00. I am monitored though by my suboxine Dr who also said that the weight gain did not come from suboxine use? I do not feel that is true! I have never been the size I currently am until I started taking the suboxine after having my baby and them switching me from subutex which I had no weight gain.

I take suboxone and I take medicine got Adhd which has amphetamine in it like Phentermine. No issues. Only thing. If you take it, make sure you drink a lot of water. Which we need more water anyway right.

Who is your doctor in ky? I doubled my body weight in 3 years I went from 110 all my life to 180. I'm completely miserable and I don't even leave my house because I don't want people to see me look like this. I'm considering asking my doctor for phentermine but she's a really great lady she really cares sometimes too much if you ask did anything bad of you?

Re: getting too fat (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

I know exactly what you mean I've gained so much weight it's crazy I am definitely going to find a doctor to give me dyedrex I already talked to my Suboxone doctor she said it would be fine but she can't prescribe both so I have to find a primary doctor to write diet pills

Re: getting too fat (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

I just started my Suboxone yesterday. I was already going to a weight loss clinic that gave me the phentermine & the doctor said it was ok to continue the diet pills so I wanted to get used to the suboxone first but I was told it was ok

It's not the subs I been on them for almost a decade and yes they make you eat more but if your drinking any alcohol with them you'll balloon up like crazy.

Glad that you have It paying. Because those clinics are outrageous with no insurance. Best regards to You And stay strong.

Re: countrygal (# 21) Expand Referenced Message

Idk if you're still in tm or on Suboxone, but if you're in the west TN area and have ins (they don't take em all, but some including Tenn are) the sub clinic I go to is pretty good. I'm going to ask Dr next visit about possibly getting on phentermine to lose this excess weight. I am 5 ft even and weigh 200 lbs and no diet or caloric restrictions or exercise is helping I'm just steadily gaining. I am seriously thinking of getting off the subs though. I'm only on 1/4 of a strip every couple of days and the only reason I still take it is for chronic pain.

Re: JENNIFER (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

Have you ever used GoodRx and lower the price a little bit? Does save a little bit of money, not a whole lot. There are also if you go to the Suboxone website there are coupons you can download or print off that will save you money or manufacturer coupons and get coupons from them to help cover the cost.
