Who Recommends Cymbalta & Why?

Reading too many cons & not enough pros... Really want to see some positives in treating foot & leg pain, neuropathy, cramping & stiffness before I begin taking the 20mg a day recommended by neurologist office. Please advise. Thank you. I am almost 72.

I tried cymbalta several years ago, it just made sick to the stomach, did not help my pain or depression,
just had to try something else. presently taking oxycodone and gabapenten. Hope you can get some help,

It's horrible. My Doc put me on it for the same symptoms you have. I had a minimally invasive lumbar surgery almost 10 weeks ago and have nerve pain/neuropathy. I had 3 MRI's to make sure I did not re-injure my back or neck, but that was clear. After taking just 3 doses of Cymbalta, I knew I could not tolerate it. I was on a similar med 2 years ago and tapered off of it, so I knew that what I was experiencing with this was really detrimental to me. I literally cried for the past 3 days, was very sick, had migraines, etc. The first dose seemed to take the pain way down, but after that...HORRIBLE side affects. I am sticking to Omega 3 - 3 times a day, and benadryl to come down off of just 3 doses. Then I am headed to a Rheumatologist to talk about <0.3 cbd and whatever else that is more natural to do. This is a very scary med and it will take a lot to get off of it if you continue it. The last similar med I took (Effexor), I took 18 months to titrate off of.
