Cymbalta Adrenal Insufficiency
8 Replies RSS
I have been on Cymbalta for 7 yrs. For the last 4 yrs I've been on 120mg per day. I have dealt with many, many side effects, however it helped me so much I put up with them. But the last two years I started having severe heart palpitations and extreme bouts of fatigue. I had many cardiac test and was eventually diagnosed with a heart arythemia. And now last month I was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency with my cortisol levels dangerously low. My FP doctor referred me to a Endocrinologist, but before I could get there I was hospitalized 4 days with pneumonia. Extreme Adrenal insufficiency causes fluid to build in your lungs. Coincidence? I don't know? Has anyone else on Cymbalta had symptoms of Adrenal fatigue? Has anyone else been on Cymbalta for 7-8 yrs? ## Actually, many me...

I have Sciatica, Spondeliosis, Degenerative Disc Disease and Fibromyalgia in both my hips & legs, I have had 3 sets of nerve blocker injections that did not help. I had a herniated disc, in my lower back, (scar tissue has entrapped nerve in it), intractable back pain, I have been falling a lot at home or if I am out somewhere. I get very confused and short term memory is really getting bad which is a symptom of Fibromyalgia, I don't want to go anywhere, I rarely see my friends. I feel like my feet and legs are running and my body is not catching up. I have also last year had left shoulder surgery for small tear in rotator cuff, bone spurs leaning on rotator cuff, osteoarthritis and fluid around the arthritis, 1 month after this surgery: I have what feels like electricity shocks ...

Cymbalta for RSD/CRPS
36 Replies RSS
I am in the later stages of RSD and have tried ALOT of Rx that haven't helped. Has anyone else taken cymbalta for RSD & did it help? I am taking Cymbalta now and can't tell that it is helping at all. I take 30mg now and in 7 days start taking 60mg. Is there any Rx that you have/are taking either than Cymbalta that is helping w/RSD/CRPS pain? I have already tried trileptal, neurotin, gabitril and topomax which haven't helped the neuro pain. Open for any suggestions. Thanks. ## Hey there, I am in the earlier stages of RSD (but it still hurts like nothing I have experienced in my life before). The doctor prescribed me Lyrica and it has done wonders for me. Hoe that helps! ## Cymbalta works in a very similar way to Lyrica, so it has helped some people who are suffering from ...

Cymbalta Withdrawal Question
3 Replies RSS
I had been taking 90mg of cymbalta for about a month or so, and I ended up with a manic episode. My doctor told me to immediately stop taking the cymbalta and put me on 5mg of abilify. I believe I am now experiencing cymbalta withdrawal (so far, severe dizziness and body aches) and I'm just confused as to why my doctor would have me completely stop 90mg of cymbalta if withdrawal was a risk. Also, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips to lessen the withdrawal symptoms. ## Only the doctor can give you a definitive answer, but the best guess would most likely be that they were concerned about the medication possibly inducing more manic episodes, which it can sometimes do, according to FDA reports. The only thing that will really lessen the withdrawal symptoms, now, is time. Has ther...

Cymbalta 60 Side Effects

I have been taking Cymbalta for 6 yrs. along with Wellbutrin(150mg.) could it cause sores in my mouth? could it cause my hands to shake once in a while? ## Hi Mary, One of the side effects of Cymbalta (Duloxetine) is an "uncontrollable shaking of a part of the body". It can also cause blisters or peeling skin, rashes, hives, swelling in the face, and unfortunately, much more than this. The link below lists the vast majority of possible side effects, but I would highly recommend talking to your doctor about switching medications or opting for a natural alternative to this prescription if the side effects are too persistent or severe: I hope this info helps! ## I have been taking Cymbalta for many years, and I see that I have many of the symptoms. What I fear is that the effect th...

Brown colored urine from Cymbalta or Oxycodone

I am currently taking Cymbalta and Oxycodone. In the mornings on several occasions when I urinate it is very dark brown. Could either of theses medicines cause this? I'm thinking of calling my Dr anyways but just needed to know if anyone else has experienced this from either of these medicines? ## Hi derrek, it sounds like you may be experiencing a more serious side effect of the Cymbalta. I checked with medline plus and it says: "Some side effects can be serious. If you experience any of the following side effects, or those mentioned in the IMPORTANT WARNING or SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS section, call your doctor immediately or get emergency medical treatment: ... - unusual bruising or bleeding - pain in the upper right part of the stomach - swelling of the abdomen - itching - yellowi...

Are these normal Cymbalta side effects?
8 Replies RSS
I've been on Cymbalta 60mg for my Rheumatoid Arthritis and chronic back pain. It took a few weeks to get over the initial side effects and then I did fine. The last few months I've been having weird symptoms that neither of my Drs can figure out. I have these days where it seems like hard labor just trying to breath. My pulmonologist says there is nothing wrong with my lungs but I have to be on oxygen at night and often in the afternoons. The fatigue is overwhelming. Then there are the waking dreams. If I fight to stay awake I will sort of halucinate. These aren't side effects of other drugs. I take very little pain meds as they don't do much good. The incidents aren't associated to any other meds. Then there are the sweats. I'll be freezing cold and sweating. I ...

Cymbalta and fatigue
2 Replies RSS
I have been on Cymbalta for years now for depression and it works. My only problem is I have fatigue in the morning and afternoon, and its most common after eating. I have been diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and use a machine, but the fatigue will still be there. I have high blood pressure and thyroid issues. I have talked to doctor after doctor. I eat healthy and I exercise in the morning. I lost weight, and I still feel the fatigue. I don't drink caffeine, so coffee is not an option. This morning was worse, as I felt like I needed to get out and run around my car ## That can be a normal side effect of this medication, but it could also be due to depression and other health issues, according to NIH studies. What type of doctor's have you been consulting? It sounds like there c...
