Benadryl availability in IV form?
2 Replies RSS
Hi. I was wondering if anyone out there has been able to get Benadryl (or the other anti-itch med...Atarax?) in an IV form for use at home? I get crazy itchy if I don't take Benadryl or Atarax with oxycodone or Phenergan! So I have a difficult time digesting pills of any kind and I'm trying to research & figure out if anyone out there has gotten the IV form of this drug covered by insurance, or even if this drug in IV form exists for in-home use? Also, which is stronger, Benadryl or Atarax? Thanks! ## Yes, it does exist in IV form, but there are no guarantees that any given doctor will prescribe it for you in IV form. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and drowsiness. As to being covered by insurance, it depends on what ...

There is a chance this might be a Benadryl tablet, which is used to treat allergic reactions, insomnia, and nausea. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and dry mouth. Is is a bright pink?

benadryl and Clonidine

Can I give my 7yr old daughter Benadryl if she's taking Clonidine .01mg x3 a day? She's experiencing eye ting and significant sinus drainage. She in good spirits otherwise but can't stop itching her hers. Shes been on Clonidine for more than a year. ## Hi Lara, Sorry to hear about your daughter's allergies. I hope she's been able to find relief since the timing of your post. According the University of Maryland Medical Center, there are no drug interactions between Benadryl and Clonidine. However, if in doubt, you can always contact the prescribing doctor just to be on the safe side. Source: I hope this helps!

I need to know what this is? It was in my sons bag, and Idk what it is im afraid to find out its bad... Help Please!!! ## I can't find a listing for anything meeting this description and marking in our U.S. prescription drug resources. With such a vague imprint, it makes me suspect that it is probably something available over the counter, however, there is also a small chance that it could be a foreign medication. Have you tried asking your son about it? Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## Did you ever find out what it was. I found them as well and can't figure out what it is. ## I know this is so old, but it's generic benadryl for allergies, it also makes you sleepy after awhile. ## Yep lol I just bought these at dollar tree today ## The pill would be an over the cou...

Bad reaction after switching from Subutex to Suboxone
13 Replies RSS
I was on Subutex for over a year and a half then I lost my doctor. When I found out I was pregnant he put me back on subutex. After I had my daughter he took me off subutex and put me on suboxone. Within a couple hours of the first dose my skin became red and blotchy. I couldn't stop scratching at myself so he prescribed Benadryl for an allergic reaction... I continued to take them for a month and a half.. I started getting horrible migraines and nausea, and now within an hour hour and a half of taking the pill I'll throw up.... Every time. I have spoken with my doctor about these symptoms..He tells me its not physically possible to be allergic to Suboxone and that if I'm allergic to it then I must be allergic to Subutex as well. But I never had these issues with the Subutex...

benadryl and methadone
2 Replies RSS
I am taking 20mg of methadone daily and have been for many years. As I am getting older I'm trying to be more cautious as to what I take (otc). But I need to take some Benadryl for an itchy rash. Is this ok? ## I too am on methadone and I'm taking over the counter sleeping pills which keeps causing a positive drug panel for benzos. The active ingredient is benadryl. It sucks. ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center ( / drug interaction tool), the combination of benadryl and methadone may increase one's risk of serious side effects, such as dizziness, confusion, falling, sleepiness, drowsy, lightheadedness, fainting spells or a decreased ability to concentrate. They go on to note that taking these two drugs together is usually not recommended, but if ...
