Subutex 460 Vs 54 411 (Page 3) (Top voted first)

Updated

Does the Buprenorphine 8mg 460 work as well as 54 411's? I'm curious as I've seen other imprints, just not 460. Please let me know if they are better or worse.

Re: Wendy (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

I agree they are not the same as the 54s. I just don't know why they can't just give us what works better for us. Everyone is different so why not help with our problem instead of making life harder than it has to be. I've called at least 30 pharmacies and they want to know why my dr is prescribing this medicine when it's not there business. That's between my Dr and myself. These pharmacies need to back up and get their title in order... most people are going back to drug's because they are not getting treated right. Come on now.

Re: Kc (# 74) Expand Referenced Message

I asked my pharmacy if they could order the 54s or the Ms and she said you will get whatever brand they send. How rude was that??? And that was CVS Chillicothe Ohio

Re: Brad (# 80) Expand Referenced Message

I spoke with the Westward Pharmaceutical company yesterday. I was told that they have the exact same former Roxane as they were purchased from them. They are white with imprint 54/11. They are not on back order and have been supplying all the major chains. The former 460 from Sun pharma in India no longer manufactures them. This is the best news I've heard since all this began. I have been taking Mylan but it's inefficient. I have almost a month to go and I'm going to track them down. God bless.

Re: kdmrXohio (# 49) Expand Referenced Message

It's crazy to see a post from someone and know EXACTLY what they are talking about. I used to get my sub script from that pharm for 2 years, then when they opened up their own clinic, the owner/pharmacist said he couldn't fill mine because he had to take care of "his" patients first. I thought, I have been a customer for TWO YEARS but that didn't matter because he wanted that money from the clinic. I felt bad for the patients who lost their doctors but I certainly felt a bit of satisfaction that he eventually paid for his greedy ways. Prior to getting cut off from there, they had mixed up my ibuprofen with my neurontin pills (they looked exactly the same) unknowingly, for 5 days I took 4 800 mg. tabs of ibuprofen (thinking they were the neurontin) and ended up in the hospital with severe stomach issues. I brought my meds with me and the ER caught the mix up. I called and told the pharmacy, the owner responded with "that must've happened with the recount, we are so busy sometimes". I should've sued!

Regarding the 32 people getting arrested last year...I wanted to reach through the TV and strangle the guy that was saying all of those demeaning comments about subs, and the people on them. It's people like him, ignorant to addiction, that add to the stigma of maintenance drug therapy. Those people were heroin addicts, NOT suboxone patients and he didn't clarify that. Even if they were using, he had no right to say they were worthless, not contributing to society. He forgot that WV was one of the states with the biggest oxy addictions in the country. Anyway, I just wanted to reach out because I knew we are from the same area. Good ole upper Ohio valley where you see more pharmacies than restaurants but you have to drive 2 hours to get subutex filled! Gotta love it!

Sorry, but I do. I was responding to someone saying subutext didn't 'have the blocker'. Bupe is a mild, long acting opiate that stays on your receptors "blocking" other opiates. It is the main ingredient in both Subutext and Suboxone. So, what part do I not have a clue?

Im prescribed 2 8mg a day. Just got 12 of these 460s n let me alleviate some ppls subconscious anxiety. I've been on 54 411 roxane/westward for years. Jus took 2 mg of the new 460 and as of now i feel no difference. Im actually getting a warm nice feeling first time in a while off subs n feel my stomach getting nice n bubbly n feeling better... U all know that feeling. After u take a dose when not feeling too good n its like ur stomachs opioid receptors firing up. Lol. I dunno, it's feeling better if not exactly the same as 54 411s. If anything changes I'Il edit. I'll be humble n admit i was wrong if i start getting side effects n realize they're weak. Just like those TINNYY white 8 arrows by hi tech. Those are by far THE WORST Generic EVER. I think its all different person to person honestly. I have been on it for over 4 yrs n trying this 460 for the first time. It feels the same or better as of now. Cuz i remember feeling really tired n kinda weird on the 8 arrows. It's 12:36 am eastern time n i took it like a half hour ago. So far so good on the 460s for me.

Hi jay. It's good to hear some good information on the 460s, I have never tried this brand, it just has never crossed my path in all the years of buprenorphine treatment..since 2005..I actually heard that Mylan was not using the 460s 8mg anymore..just gossip bouncing around medschat groups..I am prescribed 3 8mg a day. I have been lucky enough to find and do the new Rhodes, for about 6 months. Then one refill I called and they didn't get them in. So I waited a few more days, same thing..in a panic I happen to be shopping in Walgreens and remembering I had my scripts on me, almost, I dreaded the fact that I might have to accept the orange half moon ugg..I kept passing around and just thought CVS is just across the street, wondering what they had in stock? I have never had any of my medication filled with them before..I'm very picky about my buprenorphine..for many reasons..low and behold they had the hikma brand 54 411s, ahh..I can finally settle down..it could have been worse..with Walgreen brand. I cannot tolerate those at all..so it seems I'd get my 90 pills a month of all the other brands,..except Rhodes or hikma I can do the prescribed amount..anything other than those two..it seemed like I'd have to take an extra dose and end up short at the end of the month and we all know that's not a picnic....so if I ever had to accept those your talking about, are they from Mylan, and are they 8mg? Thx for the feedback.

They did the same thing to me I thought they weren’t real and they don’t have the blocker in it

I just went and was almost given them but I told them to check thit brand as I have had a bad reaction to the small white ones I believe hitech makes them and they also wore off half by bedtime. I didn't accept them bc I was nervous and I'm glad I didn't bc a whole month with upset stomach and not liking them would suck.

I've been on the new brand for about a week and it's terrible. I called cvs corporate and I'm still waiting for a call back. They told me since they don't have any other issues like this that were called in they need to look into it. On the other hand while my mouth burns terrible and now I have ulcers all over my mouth. Overall just feel like crap. Looks like I'll definitely be switching pharmacies, goodbye CVS. I understand with it being a controlled substance but seriously this is ridiculous!!!!

Had my Cvs call around to find the 54 411's, NOTHING! I also called that customer relations number a nice person posted. Corporate called my Cvs and was more concerned about it being a cvs matter didn't care about the symptoms I spoke of. Burning mouth, upset stomach, headache, none of which I've had on the Roxanne/Westward brand. They said they'd call me back tomorrow which they didn't but all they were going to do was locate a cvs which had the 54'411's. I'm so upset about this, I had No choice but to get the 460's this month again over $200 because that's where my refill was & I already spent 3 days looking for the 411's & was out of meds. The 460's SUCK! Don't last as long feel like I have to take more & have cravings which I haven't had in 10 years. CVS get the Roxane/Westward back! Next refill after doctor appt I'm shopping pharmacies, whoever can get the 411's thats where All my scripts & business is going. It's bull they can't get it, it's all about $ 460's are cheaper for them but we pay same for a crappy product. Anyone have other suggestions or input. I'm in New Jersey (oh yea they give you that look here too when you say the medication name). Judgement needs to stop, we have enough to deal with. Thanks guys.

Elly I hear you 100% The 460's SUCK!!! I don't know what's in it but it doesn't feel anything like the 54411 pills I've been taking for about 7 years now. I've been seeing the same Dr. the whole time and this was the first time I couldn't get the 54411. I live in NH. I don't even know what to do. I haven't used in 12 years and this is the first time I've been worried about going back, which I DONT want in any way at all, but that's how crappy those 460 are to me. I go to CVS. Does anyone know if other pharmacies still carry the 54 412???

The burn is awful, call your insurance company and Dr, let them know. The pharmacy should be able to order a new script with an insurance override cuz of side effects.

My boyfriend just got the 460 subs from CVS. He has insurance through them and has to do it all through the mail. I usually take the 54 411 ones from my pharmacy. I tried one and it reminded me of the little ones with the 8 imprint on them. The problem here is NO ONE carries subutex. I was driving from northern WV to OH (3 hrs away) to get the small ones, then all of a sudden that pharmacy gets tired of filling them and stops carrying subutex. So I found a little mom and pop shop in PA but they charge $350 for 56. Crazy! So if my pharmacy changes to the 460 ones I'm stuck with those bc I've literally called and went to over 100 pharmacies and no one carries them. Or WV won't fill PA scripts or some bull like that. But I got a PA script of subs filled in VA. As long as they can verify the DEA # it should be okay. With the amount of opioids up here you'd think pharmacies would carry it. It's going to be hard to pay that much money for the 460 ones if it arises. But I recently downloaded the app "blink" where I can get my whole script for under $150 and they work with Walmart, rite aid, CVS, Kroger, etc. I wonder if certain pharmacies would have to carry them if I paid blink and then went there to pick it up. Or if they could still turn me down. Has anyone had this problem where they're at? And has anyone ever used blink?

@460sucks (message # 17) why are you lending out your meds????? This doesn't seem to be a legitimate reason.....pretty sure you're not supposed to do that and it sounds more like you're selling rather then "lending"..... just my opinion.

Horrible past two months on the 460's! I called cvs customer support, they said "we can try to find another store that has 54 411's." Of course more run around & lies. Recovery has been fine for years on 54 411, 460's burn badly, bother my stomach make me nauseous increase in headaches & worst of all...cravings! It's been over 6+ years since I felt those & it's scary. Even more frightening...if it's true, that they are only allowing pregnant women to take Bupre. I can't take suboxone makes me sick. I'm changing pharmacies from CvS to somewhere that will order what I pay close to $300 for! I'm so over the run around, lies & judgement when I'm just trying to get a medication that has help save my life. Hopefully RiteAide will accommodate or a mom & pop pharmacy. I'd rather give business to someone that can help me instead of give me anxiety & grief. Cvs used to be great w/ 54 411's this is what happens when chain pharms get too big, the customer doesn't matter anymore, just how much money they make, sad as it is. If everyone goes somewhere else it will get noticed, use your money as your voice. I pray it works next week??

I have had to switch to suboxone strip's due to the fact Wentworth makes this brand at Sundail in India. That's where this garbage subutex comes from. My Dr advised me to file complaints with the FDA. So perhaps if we collectively do this something will be done. At least we tried.

Ugh it saddens me to see so many people having issues with the new 460's like myself. There should very soon be more stock so cvs can order it. Due to the company merging with another it's put a pause on the medication they make. Cvs only switched because sun pharma the maker of the 460's is selling it to them cheaper. Furthermore... i dont care what anyone says, it's a forum, say what you want even if it's stupid to others. No one is going to take your medication away, stop making it etc. Don't let one person whose self righteous stop you from speaking out regardless of controlled substances, monitoring etc. It's yah know a forum like I said. Don't judge just on words. Everyone's here for one reason or another and could be in which ever state of mind so if they aren't completely being immoral to your sense of person then leave - *drops microphone*.
