Please Help Find Oxycodone 30mg In Sarasota Florida Need To Fill Script Asap (Page 2)
(Newest replies first)

Updated

My husband has been relentlessly trying to fill my scripts for over a week, spending hrs on end daily, going from Parmacy to Pharmacy, with no luck. I've had CHRONIC pain for near 8 yrs from car accident, where I was sole survivor. I've never had a problem filling my medications until now. I can NOT function without them and have no hope of any quality of life without the assistance of these. My pain is unbearable and I can't stand that my children have to see me in pain. It's humiliating for my kids to see me cry, struggling to do simple tasks. I REALLY NEED FOR SOMEONE TO HELP ME find a Pharmacy that has in stock in Sarasota FL. I've even called my Dr to see if they could change my scripts, so I don't have to be in so much pain, and apparently he's out of the office until next Wednesday. Ug!!!! I feel absolutely useless. Please, if anyone can suggest to me where to go, I'd be grateful. I feel that the DEA is screwing with the "legitimate" patients lives!!! Instead of making it "unavailable", because of all the people that have been "abusing or mis-using" it , maybe they should take the time to do their due diligence on patient's medical records, and determine it on a "case-by-case" basis.
I'd really appreciate ANY help anyone can provide.

Joey, you are spot on. I genuinely feel bad for these patients thinking this is their only way to survive; what a sad life. At the end of the day, it is all about money just like you said. I blame the doctors for purposely prescribing large quantities of narcotics to get their patients hooked so they come back and pay for a new script each month.
I was in a horrible motorcycle accident. A car took my leg from the knee down, I was in the hospital for over 300 days and I am now confined to a wheel chair. I had multiple failed spinal and leg surgeries. When I was finally released they had me on pain meds of course, but after a few months I was able to decrease the extended release OxyContin, and only took the oxycodone IR or Percocet when I needed it. In less than six months they weaned me off the meds and only then was I was able to start rebuilding my life. I was literally on the verge of death, had multiple surgeries and even have missing limbs...and I don't need to take 180 oxy 30s a month!! In fact I only take a couple Tylenol a few days a month! If you are really taking your medication as prescribed, isn't it time to take accountability for your own health and have a conversation with your doctor?? Best of luck to you all.

Joey, shouldn't you stop taking these meds, as per your own advice? If you are unable to stop on your own perhaps you should go to a clinic? In your own words you state how much better your life would be.
As an admitted addict, isn't it dangerous and unethical for you to be working at a pharmacy. You are currently getting your drugs, but what happens when they stop? As an addict (admitted) your self described "honor" will not prevent you from acting inappropriately out of desperation.

But you said her dr. was a criminal, in another post...yours must be too...especially if you know he's going to leave you onthe drug indefinitely, low or not. That's hypocritical.

@ Joey Motz: seriously, no one believes a word you say, and I will tell you all, as a third year med student, this guy has ZERO medical education and has never experienced severe pain. So disregard him as an idiot and a judgmental, arrogant moron. Thanks :)

@ Joey Motz: WHY are you still replying to these threads?? Haven't you gotten the point that we all know you're an uneducated moron with no experience in this arena?? What do you suggest for her crippling pain, doctor? Oh yeah, you have no clue. Because you are a judgmental i**** with no medical training or experience with real pain. Do everyone here a favor and disappear. Your words are 100% worthless.

Joeymots your a total douchebag and its unfortunate the weightlifting accident didn't just end your worthless existence on this earth. Florida is not prescribing painkillers hardly at all and definitely not at the rate u stated. Back in 2000-2009 yes but not anymore. I'm sorry for the people with CP. Especially here in florida. Time to move to Canada where they came back out with the original oxycontin formula under 6 different generic companies. That's all I got. I couldn't not say anything to that dumba**.

There is a group who is active, and went to Tallahassee to protest. It got a little media attention. It's only going to get worse. Forget about roxycodone, haven't been able to fill that in. 9 months. My pm Dr told me they're cracking down even harder the beginning if this yr. It's despicable, this whole situation. God bless and many prayers for legit cpp.

Im sorry but it just seems hopeless. Drs are trying to dismiss PM patients for any reason they can because they are tired of dealing with DEA. Pharmacies have now decided its too much of hassle now too after the recent shut down of a few in Orlando area.
Unless people are truly willing to band together and get the media involved nothing will change. The government has everyone scared right now and without public pressure and stories of truly sick people not getting meds nothing will change.
it's truly hit or miss out there. Its a shame what has happened. people were allowed to take these for years and now they cant. Its cruel but unless people get together nothing will change. There is only strength in numbers.. Without something big to change the only think to do is detox.

As FL pain patients we need to work as a large group and find an lawyer who work pro bono ( for free ) to sue the state for laws that are un-constitutional and denys pain patients a known and approved form of medical treatment for those patients who suffer from severe and chonic pain About 2 years ago there was special done with Lisa Ling ( I think it was on MY America Nat G O)who did a showing on how easy it was to get pain meds in FL It would be great if we could get someone like her to do a follow up on what is going on today. Instead of following addicts the show could follow people who are suffering from debilitating pain as they go from one pharmancy to the next with all of them giving some sorry ass excuse on why they do not carry the medication anymore. THIS WILL NOT GET BETTER. In fact a friend last week had major surgery and had to go to 8 pharmancy to get 20 perocet 5 filled. If you have any time please fill it by writing letters to your state congress people and to your local newspapers. Keep a log for all the places you have gone to, date and who you talked to. This problem will never be fixed unless we get heard.

Hey Joey,
Take your aggression out in therapy. Something you learn in recovery is not to judge others. So sad.

You judgemental, holier than thou, critical, IGNORANT fools make me sick. You have no idea what that woman went through in that wreck, absolutely no idea. Who are you to judge how she takes her medication. I have been on pain medication longer than she and I have not ever thought of sniffing one, so who is the genius on how to take medication here. Sounds like you need to look in the mirror.

ignore that guy who claims the addict excuse - yes, you are addicted to the drug because the physician put you on it. Walgreens in no luck lately, try Sweet Bay or CVS or some of the independent pharmacies. You may have to pay cash for the scrip and then get reimbursed by insurance - good luck. I've been through it too, looking for 2 weeks at a time on a daily basis from pharmacy to pharmacy. You'll find someone and they will be nice and understand it's not your fault you have to have the opiate now. Yes, you can consider going to take the suboxone scrip but it is also addicting and also an opiate so what's the difference other than it is frustration that you cannot get what your body has become accustomed to to function on a daily basis. It is sad and very frustrating to have to have a little pill to have any energy to do daily tasks. I'm not fond of this either but it is what it is... good luck to you

Hi guys, may I suggest we all ignore joey matxaball bulls***! That's all he wants is attention, so let's just not give it to him. Trust me he will go away when no one speaks to or about him. We support & help oneanother. By by joey, may I suggest an acting class where you can get all the attention you so desperately crave.
