How Long Does Hydrocodone Stay In Your System For A Urine Test (Top voted first)

I took only one 7.5 lortab and was drug tested. Will it show up in my urine? If so, for how long?

If I take a 10mg hydrocodone this afternoon, will it show up on my urine screen in the morning? I am hurting really bad, but I dont have a prescription....dont want to get in trouble, that would be sooo embarrasing!

I took 1 7.5 hydrocodone at about 3 pm yesterday. I don't take anything usually. I am currently on feoricett for bad headaches. How long will it take for the hydrocodone( I don't have a prescription for) to not show up in a screen?

I recently signed a pain mangaement contract and was prescribed 60 10-mg Lortabs and 30 10-mg Percocets to last me a month. I was supposed to take 2 Lortabs a day and 1 percocet a day, and some days I would just take the Lortabs both at once or two percocets. I know I didn't follow the doctor's directions, but I have severe migraines and was diagnosed with a very rare type of uterus cancer 6 months ago....serious pain in my back too. I have an appt three days from now, and I DO want the medication to show up in my system, but I'm afraid that too much will show up from the past week when I had to take so many. I have cut back the past two days, and I am wondering if I should even take ANY at all the next two days? Can the hydrocodone build up in your system over time? Then I'm afraid that if I DON'T take any pain pills that they might now show up in my system AT ALL after reading so many posts about how different everyone's metabolism is. Please anyone help me!!! I don't want to get cut off, and I shouldn't have taken so many for about a week, but I had a migraine from HELL. Can a pain doctor have you arrested for taking too many lortabs during your first month of pain management? Do you think I should just tell him I took an extra two a day because of my pain? I really don't want to get in trouble, and I'm scared.

I took s 10/335 hydrcodone at 6am will it show up at my drug screen at 11 am? I didn't take any for 2 days then pain got bad do I took one but now my doc says it has to be positive??

I have a drug test coming up. I have been prescribed Lortab 10/500 for knee pain. I have not been able to get to the doctor to get a refill in over a month so i took Vicodin. Will the two show up differently in thr drug screen? I only have a prescription for Lortab.

It really depends a lot on what time you took the 7.5 Lortab and afterwards, the length of time you had before your drug test.

Lortab has a half-life of roughly 3.8 hours. This means that 3.8 hours after the dose you took, half of the original dose is still present and active in the body. After another 3.8 hours (or 7.6 hours total), half of what was left after the first 3.8 hours is present and active (one-quarter of the original dose).

Most pharmacists consider that after three to five "half-lives," close to 90% of the drug has been eliminated and is no longer affecting the body. The maximum wait to achieve five half-lives for Lortab would be: 5 x 3.8 = "19 hours". But it would probably be less, closer to 11-12 hours based on other aspects of your health being in good standing, such as exercise, diet, age, weight, etc.

First of all that are seriously worried about a drug screen test. Don't be! I have been on percocet, tizanedine, hydro, oxy, fentanyl, etc. I have chronic back pain resulted from a car accident 5 years ago. I also ave a spinal stimulator installed (pacemaker for pain). I have taken four different drug tests for the past three years. And none had shown positive for any positive results. I do make each employer aware I am on these meds also controlled from a pain clinc that I have to go to every month! So, to let you all be aware, they are looking for TZhC mostly. And if by chance you came up positive for morphine or heroin. You have a legitimate excuse. Now for those who are not legally Taking meds., good luck with that! And because of YOU people like me have to be governed and go through crap so people like me with a ReAL illness or injury have to suffer. I have no respect or those who abuse that right! It used to be easy to be prescribe pain meds back in the day. But not now.
It's not about the qty you take for those in the situation like myself. Believe me, I know they are days that suck. Like knowing when it's about to rain. Or better yet dealing with pain in winter!

it usually only takes about two to three days but only taken one should be out of your system within 24 hours...u can also call your local poision center and they can tell u the half life of hydrocodone

I dont take them that often and only 1/2 at a time when i do, and i was wrong on the day, it was on thursday not wednsday. So it was 4 days thats lapsed. So everything will be good?

Take it an hour before you go see him or her! Or depends if you want to show the doctor how bad your sufferring so the can issuen you something stronger I say then take it immediately after leaving the appointment so you can find some relief for your pain you poor soul! If you lived near by, I would help you out. I know how you must feel. It's not about being addicting to meds, but the sure fact the pain has taken over your mind! Any relief possible is quarreling ing your mind. Been there! Take care of yourself! And be safe!

My boyfriend took one hydrocodone two days before he left for marine boot camp. He was in extreme pain and thats all he could find to help. He took it on a Saturday night at about 9:30, and his drug test was probably that coming Monday during the day sometime. He extremely active, and always drinks lots of water and works out every single day. We're freaking out because he could get sent home if it shows up on the drug test. Will it show up???

No, it simply detects opiates as a whole. Although hydro and oxy are both opiates, they are detected different. When a drug screening is performed they test for opiates, but also specifically oxycodone, methodone, and propoxephene.
So in essence, taking either one won't matter. Badic drug screening emphasizes whether you have opiates in your system.

Hey! I took about four hydro's (5 level can't remember off the top of my head), and I have a court ordered drug test on Tuesday at 9:30. Today is Wednesday.
