trying to figure out what i might be eating or drinking along with this medicine that might be causing severe nausea, vomiting, dizzyness, and lightheadedness, sometimes all at the same time. i drink mio energy in place of soda, and since starting my 14 day treatment, if i dont eat ALOT with the pill i get all the side effects listed. also noticing uneasiness when i try to sleep resulting in not being able to fall asleep. and if by chance i do fall asleep i am abruptly awoken from nothiing.

Those can be side effects of this antibiotic, so you may not be doing anything that's causing these symptoms.

Learn more Doxycycline details here.

It is an antibiotic and it can affect some people in this manner. If it's that severe you may want to ask about trying a different medication. Alternatively, you can try making sure that you take it with a meal.

How many more days do you have left?

Have you eating/injesting any dairy products whenever you take this pill? I used to take this for acne and I experienced horrible stomach pains and vomited because I had drunken a glass of milk that very morning. It's recommended that you don't eat or injest any dairy product, antacids, or vitamins within taking it because it will lead to reactions that may induce vomiting, dizziness, skin sensitivity, and it may also interfere with your sleeping. Then again, this medication is an antibiotic and may have a diverse effect on various people.

Doxycycline is the worst medication I have ever taken. I've had anxiety, insomnia, night sweats, nightmares, and chest pain. I took it for 10 days and currently 10 days since last dose. I'm feeling much better but still suffering some side effects. Does anyone know how long this drugs effects last?
