Does Tramadol Show Up In A Urine Test (Top voted first)

I TOOK 2 50 MG TRAMADOL THIS MORNING AND HAVE TO DO A URINE TEST FOR MY DR FRIDAY WHICH GETS SENT TO A LAB TO TEST FOR TRAMADOL. WILL IT BE OUT OF MY SYSTEM BY THEN?

So I made my son take a drug test for opiates and it was positive,he claims all he has taken has been tramadol. I thought tramadol was a non narcotic pain pill so why would that show up as an opiate?or is he lieing and has been take other pills?i need help ASAP thank you

I took one 50 mg ultram on sunday, three days ago and was drug tested today, urine tested. They do test for this drug. Will it show up?

No it does not show up as oxycodone!!! I take oxycodone and ran out early and took a tramadol. I was tested and asked why it didn't show in my system. So no tramadol does not show up as oxycodone!

I took Tramadol and the next day took a 10 panel test for a tox screen at my Suboxone clinic it came back fine didn't show up on test at all just stuff that was supposed to be positive was positive. I took 100 mg of Tramadol and my Oxycodone and opiates came back negative. It never shows up on my tox screens for opiates or Oxycodone. I take urine 3 times a week and always come up negative like Tramadol was never taken. It may be considered a narcotic but unless u specifically tested for it won't show up at all.

Tramadol does not show as oxycodone it's not even a opiate. The chemical make up is tramadol hydrochloride. It is designed to act as an opiate would synthetically but will not show on a common drug test. It must be tested for specifically only by using tramadol itself which is technically a false positive. This is costly and a lengthy process. I am a retired paramedic and have a father and brother that are Doctors of osteopathic medicine. My father being a Ex Emergency Physician and my brother being a neurosurgeon. Plus my family used to run a Detox center. I am positive lol of it being a negative on your drug test

I did test at a pain management they made me test again the following visit. I went 2 visits with out the oxycodone showing up. They just told me the 3rd time id be released. Strange thing is both times I had taken tramadol. They never mentioned it. I know the recently developed a test for it. I worked in a lab for about 20 years so I'm pretty familiar with the the test. So maybe they weren't looking for anything else this time except what I was supposed to be taking....please let me know how it goes. Good luck. I'll be praying for you. God knows we can't afford to be dismissed. Some people just don't understand what pain can do to a person.

These are all the things they test for at pain management clinics. I got my detaileducation bill on the mail today that's how I know.

That post is 100 percent correct. I go to pain management and they ua me every time and never has it shown up. They do have to specifically asked for the test and as a former lab technician I can tell you most Dr's won't because of the cost involved.

It doesn't show up as oxycodone. I go to a pm clinic. I'm tested to make sure I have oxycodone in my system (2x). I ran out and took some tramadol. I was questioned why I came back without my meds 2x. BTW no questions about the tramadol. But no it didn't come back as oxycodone.

How did you do on your test? My clinic usually only test every 90 days because that's what the government wants. UNLESS red flags goes up. My clinic did talk to me about the oxy not being in my system. I explained that the pain level has just been so bad an rather then release me they added extended release morphine to what I was already taking...the real goal is not to punish but help. I should have just told them the truth from the jump.

This is an untrue statement please state your source, because I have taken tramadol on several occasions the day before even the morning of a test. I get tested monthly. I even out right asked the Dr. They don't test for it unless specifically required. This a very expensive test and is rarely ever done. Thank you

What type of Dr is it? At the pain management Dr they don't test for it YET it's a fairly expensive test and it's not routine. More than likely you'll be fine!

That post was for the guy says. It shows up as oxycodone, only oxycodone shows up as oxycodone(perc 5-10-15s 20s and 30s) all show up as oxycodone but not tramadol

What r u talkin about it's not even an opiate, it only shows on a specific test for tramadol and it metabolizes quickly so 3 days it's out ur system

Most likely if they are indeed testing for it as you say. Most don't that's why I say that, but it is our in 72 hours so you should be good . Let us know how it goes for future research (I'm a micro biologist and previously a pharmacy tech) good luck!

No it doesn't show up as oxycodone. I get urine tested every month. Percocet, vicodin and tramadol won't show up in urine after 6-7 days... unless they test for it specifically. It just shows up as a narcotic in your system. Now..if it's another type: opioid, valium, methamphetamine, etc, shows up in a whole different category... Good luck.
