Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 268)
UpdatedI have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Read the thread and you'll find helpful info. There are a lot in that area, so you'll have to Google and do the work.
Can anyone tell me any of the side effects of the fentanyl patch? I'm on 75mcg's and I want see if what I'm feeling is normal?
Re: Lori (# 5340)
Go back and look at posts, the Dr's name's are all there, with records, most will prescribe 300 mg total, fees for first visits as well as monthly are all there
I am so sorry that you are in chronic pain… I just read your post these many years later because a dear friend is seeking an extra good doctor in the Denver area who is not a prescribe frayed of prescribing strong opiates when necessary if I find out anyone who is great, I will post this information because you and many others may still be in need of this.
I know this is an old thread but would love if anyone could help me still please.
Re: Chaos (# 5291)
Hello chaos I'm reading through this forum, have you had any luck I'm looking into some of these mentioned and I'm also trying to find a pain management ok with mmj. I'd love to hear from you if you wouldn't mind
Kerstian (# 5347) --
Several are ok, I know dr Lincoln is, is everyone as worried as I am after all the news this week,
Janedoe (# 5348) --
Thank you Janedoe I am definitely looking into him. I have read through several pages of this thread. Still reading and got some ideas for sure. You have all helped immensely. Very very appreciated.
Re: Janet (# 19)
I have the same disk problems you do and no Doctor will give me pain pills. They are all afraid of the DEA. They never talk about people that live in Chronic pain. It is not fair, I can hardly walk.
Kerstian (# 5347) --
Yes as Dr Lincoln rx s mmj, as well as opiates, you do not need a card because it is rec.legal, he does not mind.

Had a bad experience w/ fent patches, they made my tolerance to any other med hi, you can use a lot of this med and still not get as much pain control as needed, worked for me up to 2 months I went to 75/48 with b/k of oxy 10mg 2a day
I started having some chest pain and a lot of sweats,
I let it go at 3 months and jumped off
Re: Chaos (# 5351)
I meant he writes mmj cards in addition to pain meds
JOJO (# 5339) --
I've searched all psychiatrist that take Medicaid and Medicare to rx my clonazepam, no luck, my PM Lincoln rx d it for a good while at a 175.00 mo.fee, but once I couldn't pay no longer, I was in a pickle, I do know a way, if you 're needing an suboxone, or subutex, ( not 100% knowledge on difference) but there is a way and to get Medicaid to pay
Lori (# 5342) --
Dr. Lincoln, very thorough and understanding, make sure u have record available , front desk staff nice too
Chaos (# 5353) --
Awesome yes thank you, I hope it doesn't take too long to get an appointment. Do you have an idea of how far out?
Kerstian (# 5356) --
Dr Lincoln should be able to see you this week if you are flexible, he does walk in for mmj, depending on age, you will probably need records , if you have them, it's easier, the office staff is wonderful
New patient (# 5344) --
What are u feeling? I’m on 175 mcg for 3 years. No side affects.
Going Crazu (# 5337) --
Yes Medicaid pays for my meds although they keep lowering what they’ll pay for
Lucy (# 5359) --
Hi Lucy, Just wanted to tell you and Chaos Hi. Haven't talked to anyone for so very long, I don't know how you are all doing. How are you doing? I've had several surgeries and various other things added to my "list" but I'm still up and moving, so can't complain to much LOL Would love to hear from you.
New patient (# 5344) --
If you don't change your patch when you are supposed too, you can get the sweats and have withdrawl symptoms. Who is Dr. Lincoln people are mentioning? Is he a pain Doctor and where is he located?
