Dbx-13 Scam (Page 12) (Top voted first)
UpdatedIn January 2013 - I recently purchased a subscription to the Health Sciences Institute (HSI) newsletter and got the book "Miracles from the Vault." I scoured the pages to find DBX-13 which they advertised as the diabetes miracle cure, and couldn't find it anywhere. I called HSI, and after three attempts and by threatening to take them to court for false advertising, a response finally came by email. DBX-13 is called X-Cravings. But get this... it is no longer being manufactured. X-Cravings appears to be a formula to help you stop craving food... a diet product... and I guess they apparently felt this would help you lose weight which would help your diabetes. I placed a call to the manufacturer of X-Cravings, Nutricology. Tel: (800)545-9960 who claims they don't know that X-Cravings was called DBX-13 by HSI, and they said they discontinued X-Cravings last year (2013). They also don't have a replacement product for it either. I hate when companies like HSI scam you by offering you hope that doesn't exist, which is why I am posting this information.
Steveigirl, try something to calm you down. You're coming across as a terrible bunny boiler.
I have been on Plexus since June 20th 2016. I have been a diabetic for 3 years. Since I have started the tri Plex I have lost 25lbs and Im off of my blood pressure medications, Cholesterol, heart rate meds, and I only take half of my dosage of metformin 1000mg since I saw my diabetic doctor on July 28th 2016. I have also changed my eating habits and now have the energy to exercise. Thanks Plexus. {edited for privacy}.
If anyone cared to look beyond the scam crap and fear generation (simple wording to watch for that all scams use - such as HSI) you would get to realize that the supplement industry in the US is pushing $100 billion a year in mostly useless or
excessive stuff. People who buy into the fear and hate stuff about Pharma / FDA are clueless about how a human body really works and how to impact it. Just use your brain and think about the fact that real medical doctors, FDA people and pharma people also die of cancer. Do you really think they would hide cures? If yes you deserve the delusion and to rob yourself of good care that could be had. If you ever really witnessed the health situation of these "ancient medicine" cultures, you would not want to follow their herbal approach!! The US still has the best medical system in the world, even though the encroachment of supplement and scam companies since late 1990's has caused the US life expectancy to level and now drop for the first time since 1900!! People pushed away from medical treatment are dying un-necessarily!!
steviegirl - I understood that message perfectly. You may be good with English but, do you know where you are lacking? Check yourself, before you wreck yourself!
I think you lost perspective of what this page is about. As stated: it's a blog not an English class! Are you really that bothered?
Where do you get it? Is it a vegetable?

Do you mean to say defense instead of defence?
HSI ARE A BUNCH OF F***ING A**HOLES. JUST WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE SCREWING AROUND WITH PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF THAT HAS DIABETES? I AM GLAD THAT I READ YOUR REPORT ON THE DBX-13 BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO ORDER IT ON LINE. WHEN PEOPLE DO S*** LIKE THIS AND IT'S A SCAM.... NO WONDER THEY END UP "DEAD" BECAUSE THEY LIED FOR SELF GAIN TO LINE THEIR POCKETS WITH CASH.
Dr. Mark Stengler has a book out: "Encyclopedia of Natural Healing" and Dr. Jonathan Wright has published one called "Treasury of Natural Cures" or something similar to that. Both of them are reputable and respected physicians. I recall Dr. Wright recommended berberine for diabetes, a natural herb which can be found on Amazon (that's just *one* source) under the brand name Glyco X. I'm sure there are other marketers as well. As for Ms.Thompson, I wish her unemployment, public exposure, discreditation, and prosecution for fraud, but likely she will live in fraudulence--with impunity--to a ripe old age, busily printing bullsh-t and sleeping like a baby. I just bought Dr. Stengler's book online yesterday but I don't expect to receive it for a few days, at least. I will post what he has to say. But do keep in mind, that just as my criticism of that commenter's incomprehensible run-on sentence irritated you, trying to make heads or tails of such unintelligible drivel seriously annoyed me. My issue was not about "grammar", it was about the hassle of trying to discern if that diarrhea of the keyboard had any valid content at all. Which it did not.
You need to learn how to use punctuation. Else, why bother to type any comments about anything. The way you type one massively long run-on sentence is a headache, because who can make any sense of it at all? It comes off as unintelligible drivel.
