white oval pill scored with 93 on one side and 7214 on the other ## Checked with the pharmacist and it is Metformin HCL 1000mg (Teva) generic for Glucophage ## My metformin 1000. Some stamped with 13. 2. Some stamped with 1 47 what's the difference? ## Yes, Teva Pharmaceuticals lists the tablet with 93 7214 on it as containing 100mgs of Metformin, which is most commonly used to help lower blood sugar levels. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea, and stomach pain. Karen, while I have been able to find a 1,000mg tablet with 132 on it, I cannot find any with 147 on it. Are there any other markings on the tablet in question, or possibly a logo?

metformin and blood pressure meds

is it safeto take this medicine if you are on blood pressure meds that also has a diaretic in it? ## It really depends on the exact ingredient of the blood pressure medications. I did check the interactions between Metformin and several of them and, so far, they have all come up with the same warning that if the patience experiences any type of renal impairment and dehydration, it can increase the likelihood of Lactic Acidosis. Have you asked your doctor or pharmacist about this? Can you post back with the specific blood pressure medication you are asking about? ## Metropitol is my blood pressure meds will lipozene interfere with it ## my high blood pressure pills are called coversyl i take them with metformin and asa 81 also glicizide is this safe?

How much exercise do you get? That is also vital to helping to keep your sugar under control. ## My blood sugar is 540. I took 15 units of huliman 70/30. What should I do now? DBX-13 scam
216 Replies RSS Share
In January 2013 - I recently purchased a subscription to the Health Sciences Institute (HSI) newsletter and got the book "Miracles from the Vault." I scoured the pages to find DBX-13 which they advertised as the diabetes miracle cure, and couldn't find it anywhere. I called HSI, and after three attempts and by threatening to take them to court for false advertising, a response finally came by email. DBX-13 is called X-Cravings. But get this... it is no longer being manufactured. X-Cravings appears to be a formula to help you stop craving food... a diet product... and I guess they apparently felt this would help you lose weight which would help your diabetes. I placed a call to the manufacturer of X-Cravings, Nutricology. Tel: (800)545-9960 who claims they don't know that...

i am taking melmet tablet for PCOD problem we get weight gain on taking these melmet tablets? ## Melmet contains the active ingredient Metformin and actually, if it helps resolve the insulin resistance that can cause PCOD/PCOS, then you should start losing weight while taking it. But either way, it should not cause any gain. Learn more Metformin details here. But you may experience other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, flatulence and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I am suffering from Type 1 diabetes, doctors have prescribed Gluformin G1 500, in the morning and Melmet - SR 500 mg in the evening. Metformin tinnitus/hearing loss
4 Replies RSS Share
Doctor put me on Metformin, two days after I started experiencing severe stomach pain and tinnitus in one ear. Went to ER, told it was side effects of this drug. I stopped taking Metformin. The stomach pain stopped but I still after 7 days have the tinnitus in my ear. I have read several forums that talk about ringing in the ears while on this medication. I started taking B12 to see if that would help but nothing so far. Has anyone experienced hearing loss after or while taking Metformin? My doctor never told me of this side effect. I think it should be shown as a definite side effect of this drug. ## Hello, Bill! How are you? Yes, those can be side effects of this medication, however, they can also be side effects of uncontrolled diabetes and high blood pressure, as reported by the NIH...

Diabetis Mellitus type-II, osteoarthritis, on antidiabetic drug-glimipride- metformin composition and Sammy-200mg for osteoarthritis. Can Ecosprin be administered and will there be any drug interference? If any intereference, then what to be done? ## Ecosprin AV contains Aspirin and Atorvastatin, it is used as a blood thinner and to help lower cholesterol. And I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between taking it with the antidiabetic medications Glimepiride and Metformin, but you should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. As to the Sam-E, that is a nutritional supplement, not an actual medication, so it hasn't been checked for interactions with medications, thus I have no information on it, but would suggest checking with your doctor. Are there an...

What are the side effects of Potassium Cl? ## My grandmother has been prescribed this medication (Potassium CL) and has discovered them completely whole in her bowel movements, why is this? ## Kimberly, when some medications are time released, the outer shell of the tablet is NOT meant to be digested and is just expelled as waste, however, the medication is still released and used by the body, just as it is supposed to be. Many of these types of medications will even carry warnings about this in the drug monographs. Side effects can include: high potassium levels, nausea, diarrhea and muscle weakness. Did you have any other questions? ## Mom has always taken K CR and now it is ER. What is the difference. I thought CR meant time release. ## Kimberly, I really doubt that answer. I Also ta...

Start ako ulit ng 29 na mag take ng pills then on the 31 of may nakipagcontact ako safe ba ako kasi wala kaming ginamit na iba pang safe method kahit withdrawal. ## Safe po. Kasi hindi kna nag oovulate while on the pill. Basta po sinunod nyo ung 7 day ONLY ang pill free day, hindi na kayo mag oovulate na cause ng pregnancy. pero kapag lumagpas ka ng 7 day break, thats the tym na magworry ka kasi naexpyrna ung effectiveness ng pill and you are likely to ovulate. Pills can only circulated sa bloobstream mo for an extension of 7 days, which is the pill free week and ofcourse safe ang intercourse during that tym. Pero pag lumagpas ka ng 1 week, you have to wait another 7 day bago ka maprotect. ## Hi..magpapatulong lang po s...
