Is auro-metformin blackberry 500mg the same pill as RXP 500mg metformin, just flavored with blackberry? ## Hello Betty, The Auropharma manufacturers page only shows the ingredients for the 500mg metformin and does not list the inactive ingredients. This leads me to believe that the two are the same but one is simply given a blackberry flavoring for those that do not like the medicines bitter taste. Below are the active ingredients. • Crospovidone • Magnesium stearate • Polyethyleneglycol 3350 • Polyvinyl alcohol • Povidone • Talc • Titanium dioxide I hope this helps.

Metformin tinnitus/hearing loss

Doctor put me on Metformin, two days after I started experiencing severe stomach pain and tinnitus in one ear. Went to ER, told it was side effects of this drug. I stopped taking Metformin. The stomach pain stopped but I still after 7 days have the tinnitus in my ear. I have read several forums that talk about ringing in the ears while on this medication. I started taking B12 to see if that would help but nothing so far. Has anyone experienced hearing loss after or while taking Metformin? My doctor never told me of this side effect. I think it should be shown as a definite side effect of this drug. ## Hello, Bill! How are you? Yes, those can be side effects of this medication, however, they can also be side effects of uncontrolled diabetes and high blood pressure, as reported by the NIH...

Unsure if my Metformin tablets are real

I picked up my rx metformin from a pharmacy with my prescription but got metfortic 500 instead. Can anyone tell if this is fake or real? ## Hi Taz, If you picked these up from a licensed pharmacy with a valid prescription, then yes, they are real. However, being "real" does not necessarily equate to something being "effective", and often times patients who receive a lesser effective medication are quick to call it fake or counterfeit, when in reality it may just be certain fillers that inhibit optimal bioavailability. Nevertheless, if something doesn't seem right about your prescription then you should contact the pharmacy you got it filled at just to be on the safe side. "Metfortic 500" is something I've never heard of (nor can I find info on Google - so...

Gynovit syrup uses

I had no periods for the last 2 months so my doctor prescribed gynovit syrup. What is the use of it? Can it be taken along with metformin tablets also? ## From what I could gather, Grovit syrup is simply a multivitamin supplement for use in treating vitamin deficiency states as well as increased vitamin demands for pregnancy, lactation, growing children, and even severe infections. The Active ingredients in Grovit syrup are: Vitamin A (palmitate) + Vitamin B complex + Vitamin C + Vitamin D + Vitamin E Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between Metformin and Vitamins.
