i recentaly knew that metformin is available with alpha lipoic acid.. is it true? can you suggest me the brand name of this combination and other detail about this drug?

What country are you referring to?

I haven't seen anything about it being available in the U.S., because there is generally some concern about Alpha Lipoic Acid being used with Metformin, since they tend to potentiate the effects of each other and cause hypoglycemia.

yes the combination is available in india
for the first time in india our company jenburkt has relkeased METMIN A which has got alphalipoic acid 200mg and metformin 500mg which is showing excellent result though it helps in insulin sensitivity and glut4 translocation beyond glycemic control it also controls wait gain in obese ,reduces oxidative stress and also very good lipid profile by decreasing low density lipo proteins and increasing high density lipo proteins

I was taken off Actos 9 months ago and put on Metforim HCL 500 mg and never had an odor...now with the Metforim HCL 500 mg OSM-TB which has the number 574 they smell like fertilizer..my urine also stinks..do you think these pills are harmful? I need answers

Not really for menses but it helps in the regulation of your harmones. Mainly in the pcos conditions which is caused by hyperinsulinemia and regulating your lipid profile and very good weight reducing agent also .. and helps in type 2 diabetes
