Cocaine False Positive Test

I was tested for cocaine and it came back positive. I do not know how as i have not used for 4 months. It was a hair test. I do not know why? Can u let me know why or list some things that can make it come back positive please? Thank you.

Ibuprofen 800mg (Motrin) can cause a false positive for cocaine by urine testing.

I had a false positive for cocaine & suboxone. A true positive benzo & methadone. I'm on methadone split dose 80x80 morning/night. I've NEVER had coke (truthfully haven't & I don't see myself better for not). I took a xanax a couple days beforehand and paid to have a breakdown retest. I was NOT positive for suboxone or coke. With suboxone obviously I would have deathly ill withdrawal bcuz the false positives were from having sex with my husband that morning before I was dropped. This IS A TRUE FACT.

I took a hair drug test and it came back positive cocaine. I never used cocaine a day in my life. I have high blood pressure and bronchitis meds I take only when needed, so I'm still wondering why I test positive of cocaine?

I have never done cocaine but it showed up in my hair follicle test. I am on clonidine, hydrochlorothiazide, metoprolol & hydralazine for blood pressure. Plus I have a prescription Flonase nasal spray to use as needed. I have a bad knee, for which I take otc Tylenol. At one point I was taking them like 6 a day for 15 days for pain because I fell down the stairs at home. Would that cause a positive hair follicle?

Can someone please help? I've been to the doctor twice and take an oral drug test where they put something in my mouth with cotton as well as a urine drug test, both supervised. My test results came back showing high levels of cocaine metabolite in my oral swab, but negative in my urine. I would never do cocaine. Can anyone tell me how this is possible? I've taken a blood test that came back negative also.

I tested positive for cocain a med line. My last use was a month ago. I have hep c and used amoxicillin. Could this be the cause of the positive test

I'm on Lidocaine Hydrochloride, Baclofen, Meloxicam, Oxycodone and Oxycontin. My urine came back positive for Cocaine or Benzoylecgonine.

What I had read about is that some of the Medication {Lidocaine Hydrochloride, Baclofen, Meloxicam} that I'm on, could make my urine false positive for Cocaine. I'm no Doctor, that is just what I have read on-line. I don't know WHY I can not get an answer for this.

Hair folicle go back 6 months...thats why you failed..their the hardest test to pass.

I too have tested positive for cocaine from my pain management and I haven't touched the crap for over 25 years. I have been treated for bladder cancer for the last 10 months and my urologist has inserted lidocaine into my urethra on numerous occasions throughout this time period. His office staff has told me and given me written proof that lidocaine can in fact cause a false positive for cocaine. I took this information to my Dr at this pain management clinic and he states that the toxicologist stated that's not possible which is BS. These lab technicians will never admit they make errors. There are numerous other medicines that can cause this false positive. You can request an extensive test be retaken to prove you are not positive for cocaine. It's an endless battle with these testing labs.

My urologist is treating me for bladder cancer and uses Novocaine in my urethra to insert a camera along with dissecting devices as well as catheters to insert what is called BCG, a tuberculosis vaccine that helps kill cancer in the bladder, which is inserted via a catheter. The camera procedure to check for tumors, was done ten days prior to a urine test from me by my pain management who claim I was dirty for cocaine, which I stay far away from. I also applied lidocaine patches during that week and have already found out that this too can cause a false positive for cocaine. I need to know how long it takes for this novocaine to completely clear out of my bladder and urethra, if in fact this could have also contributed to the false positive?

Can an infection medicine, antihistamine medicine or an inhaler cause a false positive for cocaine? I have never in my life taken cocaine. At the time of the test I had a double inner ear infection and sinus infection, which was the reason I agreed to take a hair drug test. Please tell me it's possible. The courts took my daughter and her dad has temporary custody. I have been taking urinary drug tests with my family doctor and I don't have anything I'm not prescribed in my system. Please help me.

Test came back showing; 34 ng/mg. Benzoylecgonine is a metabolite of Cocaine. Never use or touch street drugs so why did my urine come back positive? Please help!

I also had the same surgery and the doctor that was my anesthesiologist told me that I would test positive for cocaine after taking the drugs that they were giving me… So you shouldn't worry because that's standard and your surgery procedure.

I failed a urine test for cocaine. I have never used. The day before the test, i saw the Dr for a joint injury (lower back pain). They gave me a 60mg injection of kereolac torodol and prescribed me naproxen and flexeril. The test occurred about 16 hours after that injection and about 3 hours after the naproxen and flexeril dose. What is the culprit?
