Auro Pharmaceuticals U17 Oxycodone/apap Tablet (Page 3)

Updated

My local CVS pharmacy has been changing and even mixing brands of my oxycodone/apap 10/325 for months now. Today they gave me yet a new brand made by Auro Pharmaceuticals with the inscription U17. Has anyone heard of these before? I know nothing about them.

Where do you find these kinds of violations? I'm interested to look myself.

Well, I wouldn't take it if I were you. My Dr. re-prescribed and the pharmacy filled it with a different generic that worked fine. I found the complaints just by googling the company, and I do plan on filing a report with the FDC. I also saved the pills in question, because I really would like someone to analyze them. My compounding pharmacy said they were not equipped to do that, but perhaps the FDA has a place.

Re: Kadeena (# 42) Expand Referenced Message

I noticed the bad reviews. I thought it was weird it got such horrible reviews: Run for your life--you'll be shaking like a fish on the floor after one day! Arrrr! Seemed a bit much. So who would do that? Somebody who works for a competitor would. Take anything you read on the 'net with a grain of salt--especially when there is money to be made.

The only poor review that caught my attention was somebody said it bothered her ears. I noticed the same thing at first. Could be a coincidence. Don't know.

I happen to have the Auro and Endocet on hand right now. To be honest, I think I like the Auro more! I don't have enough to continue my experiment but what I think I'm seeing is that maybe the Endocet releases too fast. I'm lucky to get 2.5 hours from it which just begs for more-more-more of it.

I do wonder if I should switch to Auro. I do like it a lot.

Flea (# 44) --

I agree with you. The Auro u17 works just fine for me. I too noticed some very mild tinnitus but aside from that it works great and has a nice mellow euphoria. Taking it for multiple kidney stones and a 10mm staghorn stuck in my kidney. Nothing but IV morphine has helped with the pain 'til now.

How did it go? I may have had an allergic reaction to it--maybe based on my own allergies (irritated throat and popping ears) but I like it.

Yes, my pharmacy just switched to U17... they give me a headache and my face is flushed! Wish they would tell me when the pill has been changed. I can't afford to buy them again.

The best generice oxycodone 10/325 on the market right now that I've found is the one that says M523 on one side and 10/325 on the other side, it's made by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. I've had many of the current generics over the years, but this one seems to stand out the best for helping to control my pain.

Re: flea (# 44) Expand Referenced Message

Glad it worked for you, but it made me so sick and did not help my pain, which was pretty intense, post-op pain. And I do not work for a competitor nor do I frequently take pain medicines. When I have a reaction like that to any medicine, I always go online to look for side effects or complaints, and as a former reference librarian, I cross check my references and look for back up. True, you cannot believe everything you read on the internet. That is why I cross reference and dig deeply. I still have the pills in question and intend to file the complaint and get the ingredients analyzed, as I am not even sure they contained the Tylenol portion much less the narcotic, because until I got a new prescription, plain Tylenol helped more (but not enough). The other generic Percocet, which I had to pay cash for because insurance would not fill it, worked perfectly. May be individual allergies or sensitivities, but the force and number of complaints lodged against this company for this and other meds lead me to believe they may use sub standard or alternative ingredients that are less effective or possibly harmful.

Change pharmacies. Write the FDA to let them know your experience. You might also try to find and compare filler ingredients.

Can you post a link or something? I'd like to see the complaints.

Your insurance would pay for one generic and not another?

I care: as long as the conversation/communications, in our day to dailies continue so shall the necessary changes, we too will see our basic human right to live, and function with a level of calm...rather, function for at least our twelve/ten/eight or six hour shift with less pain, or at the very least a physician willing to allow us an opioid balance for function. Hang in there kitty cat, nurses are rad.

Re: flea (# 51) Expand Referenced Message

Hi - my insurance wouldn’t cover a refill right after filling the first one, despite my reaction. I think that’s pretty standard - once I dropped half a bottle of capsules in the sink while struggling to open them and they disintegrated - even took a picture, but had to pay cash to replace them. At least the pharmacy let me replace them... they were antibiotics. Will see if I bookmarked the links on my pc, but there were quite a few as I don’t mess around when I research... best advice is to dig deep and don’t just click on the first link you see!

To be honest, I didn't even know they made one or maybe I did but forgot. What do you like about it?

Re: Ann (# 20) Expand Referenced Message

Just got u17 from miejers in Ann Arbor Michigan the capital of the greatest for medical care. I went to 3 Walgreen's, 2 rite aids, 2 CVS pharmacies and my script was for 180. Now imagine this note, one said they had more than 20. I went to Kroger and they had it but my insurance doesn't work with Kroger. I got aurolife u17 10/325. Maybe I have been on Percocet too long, 3 years. My m333 from Walgreens work very good for my pain. The aurolife u17 dulled my pain and I mean just dulled it. Is my body needing to adjust? It just pisses me off there is all the epidemic on opioids and they want to basically ban them. I don't hear one word about the people with legit chronic pain and how it helps them live as normal as life as one can from major injuries thru the years. I maintained a full time job in construction with not one accident in 10 years working on hi-rise buildings vs having to go on full disability. I was able to keep a full time job. What a lot of people don't know is more than half of construction workers 30 and older are on some sort of narcotic with Norco 10/325 be most popular and then Percocet and Fentanyl. The percentage is probably 65% of all skilled trades that involves heavy lifting. All owners turn their cheeks and look the other way or there would be no one to work. So all these advocates are against it. Ya get it off the streets but don't make doctors so paranoid about losing their practice for prescribing to people who really need it. Is it addictive, hell yes. Ask any construction worker if he is more worried about addiction or pain relief so he can provide for his or her family. It's a lot safer than grabbing a six pack and a pint for the drive home to relieve the pain but endanger thousands of drivers every day just to take the pain away. Our Politicians don't know what's best for us, the real working class!!!

I have Percocet with an imprint of U17. I'm used to taking the light yellow t-934s. Can someone please let me know if you feel the same way? The u17s are terrible. There is zero relief versus the other ones. I'm sure there are more numbers to that one but I’m not completely sure what they are. Please help.

Be very careful. I've lost many friends who have taken all sorts of drugs from valium, xanax, zops, & dalmaine but out of them all the worst for ur system would be lyrica. It's so dangerous. They make u feel like ur a different person and they're messing with ur brain activity.

Re: Glasguy or jj (# 55) Expand Referenced Message

Sorry guys we're unhappy with the oxycodone 10mg U17 by Aurolife. I also was getting different pills every month. I guess I lucked out cause my pharmacist orders those for me every month now. My tolerance is extremely high been in chronic pain for 40 years and had to work. I am an occupational therapist in nursing home rehab and have seen awful things these older adults that have hard time getting pain meds. I am totally against govt involving itself in medical field. Of a person has proof of pain the doctor shouldn't b hassled regarding his professional decision to allow true pain pts. Their right to some quality of life.
