Got my 1st nuristerate injection in June, a day after taking a morning after pill. Could I be pregnant? ## Hello, Stebu! Hope you are doing well. If you engaged in intercourse, without using some form of protection, yes there is a risk of pregnancy, even though you took the pill and then received this injection. Not a very high one, though, it's a very slight risk. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this contraceptive as possibly including irregular bleeding, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have being using Nur-Isterate for 4 months but I stopped taking it and still didn't see my period. I heard people use the b12 injection to lose weight is it true. ## Nutritional supplements will not actually do anything to aid in weight loss, per se. What I mean is, you can't take a B complex vitamin or just a vitamin B12 supplement and think that it will help you lose weight. What it may do, however, is to help improve the functioning of someone's body, if they weren't getting enough of it in their diet and the could result in some weight changes, but it would be only slight, not anything significant. Learn more Vitamin B12 details here. In many cases, when someone is overweight, it is due to a bad diet, because they are eating a lot of convenience foods that are very high in fat and calories, but also low in the necessary nutrients. Thus, if they add a vitamin supplemen...

Hi, my 20 year old son had a psychotic episode and the doctors aren't sure if it was from years of smoking marijuana or him insufflating what he thought was coke a few days before he got really paranoid. He was hospitalized for two weeks and given the first of two Invega shots three days before his release and the second Invega shot on the day of his release. Two days after his released we had to take him to the ER for a high heart rate and chest pain. He has been out one month and is very terrible. His doctor said he will not get another Invega shot. After reading all the stories about how bad Invega makes you feel, I'm sure it is having the same effect on him. He is in hell, can anyone tell me how long he will feel this way? He only took the first dose of two shots. ## Be care...

I have Bell's Palsy, for the past 4 weeks and the pain is sometimes severe, I ve been told that this injections are awesome good vs doloneurobion to treat this kind of situations what can you recommend or sugest? thank you. ## There doesn't seem to be much information online about injecting this drug. If you do choose to go with injections and are able to, I highly recommend having a doctor administer the medication, as there are a lot of risks to doing it yourself without trained supervision. The most common side effects are: nausea and irritation or rash at the injection site. Medications can affect everyone differently, some people get great results from taking, but there are others that it doesn't work for, the only way to find out is to actually try it. I hurt so bad it's hard to comprehend what others say and I'm n/v and had to call into work(I don't call in). I called my dr he's not there so should I go back to er or just let this pass ## That doesn’t sound like a high dose. I have to have cortisone injection in lumbar spine and my doctor instructs me to stop taking Sintrom for two days beforehand. What are thr risks in doing so? I am 95 years old. ## My sintrom 4mg is finished and I am in Germany. Can I substitute it with Acetylsalicy tablets? ## Hello, Richard! How are you? There is a slight risk of developing blood clots, from stopping it, but the risk isn't very high, if you're only stopping for 2 days. It would be best to follow your doctor's instructions for your own safety. Sintrom is classifies by the FDA as an anticoagulant and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising. Recently while on vacation in Arizona, I got a severe headache ( I think from a strain?), went to a clinic & they said my blood pressure was 185/110. Their first drug (lisinopril 20 mg) was for blood pressure and also an injection of toradol. Two days later the headache was still there and they prescribed a pill (Butalbit/acetam/caf 40 mg/tablet ). The headache and BP are in control but I am concerned on taking a barbiturate, is there an alternative and what would be the process to eliminate the drugs. General research shows Butalbit is being discontinued?? or not a preferred choice. ## Hello, Marie! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. Had a Prolia injection last week (thought it was a calcium supplement) Two days later woke 4am with heart palpitations and feeling light-headed. Went to Dr and my blood pressure was 139/85-normally it is 90/60. Still over a week later have to lie down mostly to keep my heart from racing. Never again! I was not told of any side effects or I would not have had it. ## I am very sorry about what you've had to deal with, after being given Prolia. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including eczema, nausea, diarrhea, and afib. But, it is also well known to cause odd side effects in many people that try it, just like other medications used to treat osteoporosis. My mother-in-law's doctor talked her into trying one, and within half an hour, she couldn't control her bowe...

My Oncologist wants me to start Prolia injections in june but my regular doctor is concerned because I take Benacar for high blood pressure and says that Benacar can cause kidney problems and is worried about me taking Prolia as it can cause kidney problems and since i have had kidney failure in the past it could cause me more problems. Should I take Prolia or not? Just wondering. I also need some teeth pulled before I get the shot. I had breast cancer 5 years ago and did Chemo Radiation and had surgery to remove the breast. We were in an area of high mold content--Xolair does not help mold allergies. Started having asthma, and began prednisone. 6 days after starting prednisone I had my Xolair injection (Doc said it would be fine). 2 days following Xolair injection my asthma got much worse despite increasing prednisone to 40mg. Has anyone had a similar experience, i.e. Xolar injection, then onset of severe asthma. ## Hello, Rk! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. You actually need to be on the Xolair for awhile, before it will start working to reduce your asthma symptoms. Having an allergy attack that close to it being administered didn't even give it a chance to start working to prevent it. It doesn't work like antihistamines and rescue inhalers do. Opana Oxymorphone Hydrochloride

Oxymorphone (sold under the brand names Numorphan and Opana among others) is a highly potent opioid analgesic indicated for treatment of severe pain. Pain relief after injection begins after about 5–10 minutes, after oral administration it begins after about 30 minutes, and lasts about 3–4 hours for immediate-release tablets and 12 hours for extended-release tablets.[4] The elimination half-life of oxymorphone is much faster intravenously, and as such, the drug is ...
