And no, you shouldn't use it on your face, unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so, because there are some conditions that it may worsen. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## This is not a steroid cream... this cream is a generic to QUADRIDERM....which is another creme for infections and other diseases that US meds cant cure. CAN YOU DRINK ALCOHOL OR BEER WHILE TAKING ARDOSONS? I WANT TO KNOW BECAUSE I AM PLANNING TO TAKE IT. ## Where can I buy Ardosons or a similar medicine in the USA (Chicago area)? Thanks. ## Ardosons is listed as containing Betamethasone, Methocarbamol, and Indomethacin, this combination is not available in the U.S. LANDI, the Indomethacin is a nonsterdoial anti-inflammatory that has been known to cause stomach irritation, ulceration, and increased risk of bleeding at side effects according to FDA reports, so it it would be best not to indulge in alcoholic beverages, while taking it, since alcohol can worsen these side effects. Could you please let us know how and where we can obtain a couple of tubes of Betametasona Clotrimazol Gentamicina ASAP!!! I don't know where it is available to buy, but we would greatly appreciate any details. Thank you sooooo much, Cindy ## Hi Cindy, The medication which you are referring to contains Betamethasone + Clotrimazole + Gentamicin. This specific combination of active ingredients is not sold as-is in the United States, which is probably why the label is in Spanish. I think you have a couple of options. (1) See if you can get a doctor's prescription and have a local pharmacy compound it for you (2) If you travel to Mexico you should be able to bring the product back through customs provided it is for personal use You might also find a related discussion thread to be h...

How long can I take Co-Aleva since I have psoriasis? When I stopped after taking it for 14 days I had a very bad flare up, because I still eat foods that I'm not allowed to like foods with Gluten and Dairy. I think what's happening to me is what we called "withdrawal"? Can I try to take it again just for 7 days and stop eating foods that's not allowed to see if it will clear up? ## If you stop a medication that you are taking for a certain condition, and the condition flares up, again, that would be called a rebound effect. If you continue to eat foods that you aren't supposed to, then the flare may not even be related to stopping the medication, or it could be a combination of both. Co-Aleva contains Betamethasone [1] (a corticosteroid) + Ebastine (an antihistam...

I've used betametasona clotrimazol gentamicina ( Gelmicin Brand) For years specifically for itching in my crevices due to being overweight. Now a few years later I've have very thin skin in those crevices and I didn't realize that this cream had steroids! Should I assume this is what caused the thinning of my skin? Totally transparent in those areas specifically underneath my breasts. ## It is possible, though there's no way to say with certainty, but Betamethasone has been known to cause skin issues as side effects, including acne, and there are known to worsen with long-term use. Other side effects can include redness, and flaking. Are you on any other medications? Do you use any other creams, or ointments regularly?

Can someone please tell me where and how to get this cream in the US? I can't get to Mexico. ## Your local swap meet or any Mexican stores (not like north gate or anything like that ) ## @Shari, From what I've read, two of Gelmicin's ingredients (Betamethasone + Gentamicin) appear to be available by prescription-only here in the US. Clotrimazole is also reportedly available OTC or via prescription depending on the dosage. Having said that, I think your best bet may be to make an appointment with a doctor and have he/she write you a script. You could then take that Rx to a (compounding) pharmacy to see if they'll be able to formulate something similar to Gelmicin per your doctor's request. I know this sounds like a hassle but it's still probably more feasible than...
