Going threw withdrawls is there something out that will help me fill better

tommy p i dont know of anything that helps the withdrawls roxicodone. i pray and pray and pray. that helps but i sure wish i had something i could get over the counter ( oc ) that would help.its really bad on me to have to go threw withdrawls every month. i always run out because of taking to much just to get rid of pain and as you know you take extra to make you fill better from time to time. if there is any one that knows of something to get over the counter that will help please share with us.

I've had 10+ surgeries due to severe injuries acquired playing football in college and the NCAA DI level, the last ending all chance of me pursuing a career in football. What I most recently used to get off of percocet and vicodin was this: for the first month while I was still taking them I drank a body cleanser once a week. Then when I finished off my prescription I requested my physicians to ignore further refill requests. I then went on a week long herbal cleanse. I fortunately didn't have much of a withdrawl, I had been taking the painkillers for genuine purposes for the better part of five years. I still hurt, but get by with advil and tylenol, but I'm alive.

You may be able to purchase items over the counter, such as Diphenhydramine(Benadryl) to help with nausea and Advil or Tylenol to help with joint and muscle aches, but I can tell you from experience, when I quit the massive doses of narcotics they had me on for pain management, that there isn't a lot that's going to help other than time to let the drugs get out of your system.

You may experience rebound pain, fever, chills, vomiting, pain and headache.

Have you spoken to your doctor or considered a slow taper? This usually helps to minimize the withdrawals.

My dr. Prescribed me a drug called suboxone. It is expensive but worth every dime. I took anywhere from 10 to 20 10mg of hydrocodone and oxycodone and the occasional oxycontin for three years solid every day and didn't feel a thing. I quit cold turkey and didn't skip a beat. I took the suboxone twice a day for a month then once a day for a month then half a day for a month. When I was done I had a day or so where I didn't wanna do anything but from then on I've been pill free but in pain. I agree with Verwon. It sucks but at least I still have my wife and family and am living drug and addiction free. God bless you and good luck on your journey to a drug free life!!

green 214s are roxy 15mg pop two of em and its equal to a 30mg just more powder

Ive quit from 500 mg a day over 20 times, taper is best way! nothing else. it seems to help going from the stronger ones to vicoden then nothing

I go from 4 80mg oxys a day to 5 norcos 2x a day 2 days then 3 2x a day 3 days then a norco twice a day then a half in morning and a half at night then a half in morning 3 days then nothing. You will still have diahrea for 2 weeks or more but way better. Also when its bad Xanax works good. Ive done it so many times i am stupid. Suboxone sucks Norco is better. Small doses like a perc or 2 2x a day is nothing to quit 3 days its over. Also force yourself to go out after 2 days keeping busy really helps. I work full time and quit doing what I said never miss work just need a bathroom close and Ive lost all my weight because when im drying out i dont eat i suggest to anyone eat but only minimum and I dont smoke but nicotine helps buy gum or chew.I no longer do that roller coaster i was addicted i have my pain dr give me morphine because there is NO high for me and not worth taking more

I have a very hard time with the withdrawls also where as my husband does not. Sometimes I'm very sick and can't keep food down for a day. For me the worse part is anxiety so I recommend xanax bars and a good long nap on that first day. A friend told me to try taking any flu med because the withdrawls can cause flu-like symptoms. Talk to your doc about oxy, they are time released and may be a better bet if you are running out early. Some people can deal with pain better than others, I take them for a bruised hip and inflammation around my spine. Advil does not cut it, loratabs made me sick because of the fillers, so on to the roxy 30. Suboxone isn't too bad and non habit forming. Good luck

Many detox facilities use a Darvon taper. It goes to the same receptors in the brain as the stronger opiates do and you really don't have many symptoms. It should be reletively easy to get your doctor to write for Darvon. Start by taking 2 60mg caps every 4hr for the first day then decrease the total Darvons by 1 or 2 caps per day. This will help.

STILL WITHDRAWING???

First of all have you considered you need to get your dosage or even medication changes. If you're consistentyly running out start taking a journal - rate your pain 1-10 and when you take your pills how you feel...
It will better help you explain to your doctor your problem. You may need a time released medication as well as the breaktrhough medication which is what roxi is.... Or you may need a higher dosage of roxi soi you really need to see exactly what dosage you're taking an dhow many hours it's lasting at what times of the day.
No reason to hurt or run out-- i fyour doctor refduses and you feel you're in genuine pain you need to get a second opinion... toomany times people just deal with pain b/c their doctor refuses them medication but pain affects our lives in many negative ways nobody deserves..
That said you do take an antiinflammatory I assume such as Naproxin, or simple IBProfin, Mobic (has been the best for me) trhat is taken daily b/c it has to build up in your blood stream for about a month before you'll feel affects but it iwll help your pain from getting as bad as quick is the best way i can explain it....
Some mornings I don't even wake up hurting - it takes half hour or so and it's only when I'm consistently taking anti inflammatory....

Also, excedrine migrane or goody's powder - it's a mix of asprin, caffeine and acetomenphin (spelling sucks sorry) but that mixure works very well so try takin gthat durin gthe day instead of the extra roxi....
Also in the evenings try to get something to help you sleep which manytimes helps relax your body instead of takin gthe extra roxi.....
But definitely journal for 2 weeks and I htink it'sll help you determine what you need alot better... And remember doctor doesn't help find new one!
