Does anyone know what store makes this brand, it works GREAT & I can't remember where I got it... Thanks~ Sleepless in Georgia... ## Hi Sonya, Don't mean to disappoint, but based on my research there are no sleep aids being marketed by the name of "guardian nighttime sleep aid", "guardian sleep aid", or any other variation of those words. This is not to say that they don't exist, but if they do, they certainly aren't being marketed in a way that makes them easily accessible to the public eye. Do you recall whether it was some form of homeopathic remedy or something only available at health food stores? Any other specific details on the packaging/label might also help to narrow down our search... Thanks! ## Yes it's sold by Dollar Tree stores!! I b...

Histodor Cream
2 Replies RSS
Is histodor cream good for Eczema? ## Both of the active ingredients found in this medication are in a class of medications called antihistamines; which work by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. That said, although Histodor Cream (Diphenhydramine + Mepyramine) may help with some symptoms of Eczema, it may not be the best solution for complete overall treatment. This is because Eczema is not caused by allergies. It is more over due to a hypersensitivity reaction (similar to an allergy) in the skin. The condition tends to get worse when the person is exposed to certain triggers. Most causes of atopic dermatitis (eczema) are treated with medications that are placed directly on the skin or scalp (called topical medicines). A mild cortis...

Body Is Unbearably Itchy From Iron Infusions
3 Replies RSS
I received iron infusions in the spring of 2016...Here it is December of 2016 and I am suffering from severe itching mainly on my lower legs and also my arms. I have not been told by a doctor that this would be the price I have to pay for building up my iron. I believe that I was given way too much. I have been to a skin Dr, Hematologist, had several blood tests, Etc. I wish that someone can come up with an answer. I would truly appreciate it... Thank you so much!!! ## The NIH and FDA both warn that some side effects caused by iron infusions carry the risk of being permanent, including body aches, and joint pain. It really doesn't have anything to do with being given too much, it's just the nature of how it works in some people's bodies. Does anything help alleviate the itch...

Oblong light blue pill w/the letters E C on 1 side & blank on the other side. Trying 2 figure out what it is?? ## Hi Guera, According to another discussion thread here, someone else was searching for this same exact pill description and they reportedly identified it as a 25mg diphenhydramine tablet. This medication is an antihistamine used for allergies, but also doubles as a sleep aid. While I haven't been able to verify this identity, it is the only relevant match here on MedsChat. Have you considered taking the pill into a local pharmacy to see if they recognize it? Hope this helps!
