I took only one 7.5 lortab and was drug tested. Will it show up in my urine? If so, for how long?

I took 3 hydrocodones thursday like a t 4 pm, gotta drug test wednesday at 8 am, will it be positive??

The $600 urine test I get for pain management shows the drug and the metabolites present. So just taking a pill right before the test won't work. The drug changes as it goes through your system and they can tell. Now whether they would make a big deal out of it, I'm not sure. It would have to be in your system. If you have none, or other drugs, that is what they look for mainly, but it depends on the doctor. And if your pain varies a lot they wouldn't make you take it if you didn't need as much.

So true. I take Imitrex for chronic migranes and have (DDD) DISK DEGENERATIVE DISEASE from 3 car wrecks in my early 20s. I also have 2 bulged disks. My doctor has me on fentanyl patch for that. Ur so right about when its gonna rain my back aches so bad. And ur also correct about winter months. Its horrible. Some days i feel like crawling in a hole and never coming out. I miss skiing..any water sports i used to be able to do. It's depressing. I flat cant function without my meds. Im like u it makes me angry the people that is abusing drugs. It makes it hard on people that really need it.. I get so sick of being sick. Im 45 now but my doctor done a bone density scan. She told me my back was in as bad a shape as some of her 60 year patients. That test was done a couple of years ago. I am scheduled for another bone density scan in the next week to see if its the same or worse. I never used to take anything but meds u buy over the counter. But that is a joke and eats up your stomach. And i hate when people try to tell u what to do. U know the ones that are never around u and have no idea what ur going through but want to judge u and gossip about u. God...my husband and a few close family members understand. My husband worked in the coal mines for 25 years working double shifts and i worked for years mostly them back breaking jobs at nursing homes and hospitals. Thank u for your post. I have a question. Really 2. The second one is how do i get your answer, do i come back to this site and check? The first question. I haven't been on patches very long. My doctor used to for several years prescribe me 10mg lortabs. I had some extra so i put them in my medicine cabinet. When i get to going in and out of migranes. Chronic migraines..i use Excedrin Migrane alot with my Imitex and some days I use Lortabs with Imitrex. Im almost out of Lortabs. I dont know if i am even allowed to do that. U know if i would get in trouble. I know my patch helps my back alot but doesnt help migraines at all. I've probably got about 10 left is all. I took 2 Lortabs and one Imitrex this morning. I woke up with a migrane this morning around 6:00. Today is Wednesday. I go to my doctor Monday. Do u think lortab would show in a urine test if she even did one by Monday?

i'm going to my first pain management appointment in 3 day. it has been a long time due to insurance and finances. I'm scare I've taken hydrocodone,morphine and a ativan giving to me by friend this is how i have been managing Know it was stupid but ya'll all know the pain we are in any suggestion on how to beat the drug test. I've heard drink lost of water but is 2 day long enough ?

Look 3 day used to be safe, but again it would depend if you took 30 or 1. BUT the new tests can show up to 5 days and also if you are older or have liver or other health problems it can show up for longer, too. I'm talking about most drugs here. Pot can show up for 2 months.

You sound like a legal junkie. I broke my back 2 years ago in a snowboarding accident and they prescribed me oxycodone for intense pain. I got tired and scared with the feelings of this drug so I switched to natural supplements which of course wasn't as strong as pain meds but it does work for controlling my pain. So all of you that say you take pain meds for legit reasons are just junkies with scripts brain washed by big Pharma. So stop the BS. A junkie is a junkie scripts or not.

If it is a urine screen test that is being used, the amount in your system cannot be measured in PPM (parts per million). As with a pregnancy test, the positive 'strip' can be darker or lighter; in this case depending on the amount of the metabolite in the urine.
Short answer - No, it is absolutely arbitrary, you cannot exactly examine the darkness of the little line that show up on the test.
ASIDE - Multiple, regular urine tests can be examined and the strengths of the positive compared. For whatever good that would do. Too many factors

Thanks so much for the advise as I too am on pain meds for years due to back pain......and your advise is helpful. Gonna start eith the powerade. What does dr pepper do tho. My meds never last so i have to end up taking norco instead of percocet and afraid its gonna show up

2 days most of the time...50/60 hours is best. I took 6 hydrocodone several times a day (6 at a time), and stopped around 11 pm Friday night. Monday morning I had a urine drug test and it screened cleaned.
The question ask a lot of the times is never really answered.
The question being 'if I'm a frequent user, how long does it take to get out of my system' so it's 2 complete full days or 50/60 hours.
I took some on like a Saturday night and didn't take anymore until after my drug test, and it showed them. The level was low, but still showed them in my system and I drank plenty of water and took water pills, but never worked.
I stopped on a Friday night and had drug test on a Monday and passed two times that way so it definitely takes at least 2 days. Of course still make sure you drink plenty of water and sweat some just in case.
As a frequent user, I constantly looked this same question up, but never really seen an answer other than 3.8 hours is the half life of your original last dose. Well, I know for frequent users it takes 2 days at least. If you're a heavy set person, you might want to make sure you get 60 hours in before testing.
Hope this makes since and answered everyone's question. This is strictly from experience and I've been tested several times.

yeah that is what I have been operating under for the last few years. HOWEVER brand new lab. New machine I guess, more sensitive, detected hydrocodone after 3 days as metabolyte hydromorphone. only took 2 1000mg tablets that day and it showed up. Getting results of last months test tomorrow. Was only 3.5 days and I'm sweating bullets.

I took one 10mg Narco on Wednesday and failed a swab drug test on Friday. So it definitely takes + 2days not to be positive....on 140mg of methadone. Idk what I thought that Narco was gonna do...

I became addicted to pain medication due to pain from an accident. I am no junkie just a recovered addict. I still suffer with severe pain daily....it effects every aspect of my life. What are these natural supplements that u take? If it's weed that's an illegal drug were I live, hydrocodone comes from poppy plants....that's natural to not man-made...it's still a drug..

Take 2Aleve for the headaches , opiates ( lortab Norco percoset) don't work for headaches. Don't waste your meds for that.
