I took only one 7.5 lortab and was drug tested. Will it show up in my urine? If so, for how long?

Pain is considered the 5th vital sign because it has great effect on the quality of life of a person. The meds being discussed have a high potential for abuse, and one may form an addiction without realizing it, as that is common for addiction. If you have truly taken only one or two you should be ok in about three days. They are looking for a certain amount ppm in your blood. Don't listen to the guy above, while his argument is partially correct, he has no more right to that medication then anyone else. If you don't have health care talk to someone who can help, a case worker. Get insurance and talk to a doctor. They are there for a reason. I am intelligent enough to know what I can do, but that doesn't make it legal. So do it the right way, there are plenty of people who want to help. On the other side though, legal or not, if your taking to much you might ruin your life, be careful and follow doctors orders, they know more than most.

Oc, you are so right about pain affecting your whole quality of life. I don't search for pain free, I just search for a level that I can function at. I think what has happened to some people, is that they were in a accident, had an illness, injury, something that required them to be given some sort of pain relief. It's been proven that you heal slower when you are in pain, even if you take out the humane factor of letting someone suffer needlessly. I think that addiction happens to people in different time frames. While the person was being treated, they developed an addiction without even realizing it. The original injury, illness, whatever has long ago healed but they are dealing with addiction and don't realize that's what needs to be addressed.

It takes 36 hours 3 days for a hydrocodone 10 to get out of ur system and if u tame them for days it takes longer so I'm pretty sure they will detect it in the drug screen

Oxycodone (Percocet) and Hydrocodone (Norco) show up DIFFERENTLY on a Pain Management Drug Screen! I use Percocet only but found a couple of Norco from a prior prescription before I was in Pain Management, it was detected and I had to throw the remaining 4 away in front of them. It is a violation of any good Pain Management Group to use anything but what THEY HAVE PRESCRIBED.

Lortab and Vicodin are the same thing in that they both contain Hydrocodone. You have no clue what you are talking about.

I am reading this forum, I am not on pain meds, and truly feel bad for many of you. But most of you are nothing but pill popping dope heads. I had a toothache so a friend gave me this, I am on a RX yet its not showing up in my test. (DUH your selling your pills i****) If you have 100 pills for a month and are taking them they are going to be in your test. Sick bunch of junkies that ruin it for the legit people on this board!

You made some valid points, but you may want to hold some of the judgment. People (even if you don't agree with what they are doing) need a place that they can be honest and ask for help. Personally I do think it's pretty silly to put yourself in the position that some people do, by not staying clean when they know they have to drug test. The penalty that they are going to pay for not passing the drug test, sure isn't most time worth that little high that they get.

I am chronic and check all the time for "new cures", so far no luck. I do rely on my medication and it is getting harder weekly to have medical care and to get the medications that I need. Unfortunately some of my medications are popular, which puts me in a position at the pharmacy, with doctors, all across the board. Because of people who are abusing the system. Personally also, :) I would prefer that people who want to feel high, go purchase something that's illegal and have a great time at it. Leave the doctors and the legit pharmacies out of the party picture.

If you are going through any kind of cancer treatment they usually wont take you off any pain meds cause of the pain involved with treatment. As far as ua's if u cut back to half your usual dose 2-3days before your test and go back to perscribed dose the day before you should be at least clise to the right levels again it depends on metabolism if you are underweight your levels may even be low overweight may still be high. Hope this helps been doing this for more than 10 years and have had to use this system a lot. Also increasing water intake will help flush your system or different kinds of teas like green tea helps with metabolism and cleaning the kidneys where the meds store

Ok I had insufflated a very small line of hydrocodone just now I may have a drug test in 2 days will it be out of my system by then? I haven't done anything else.

Usually takes up to 3 days, but if you drink lots cranberry juice etc., you may be able to flush before 2 days. Let us know what happens.

I take 3 Percocet 7.5 a day for pain in my back and neck, recently I've been having bad headache's and for 3 days I have been taking an old prescription of hydrocodone 5/325 3 times a day I stopped yesterday and now I have a drug test for a job how long will the stay in my system and can they tell the difference?

Trust me I know where your coming from n I feel the same way about ppl abusing meds ppl like us need I go to my Dr once a month n I'm on hyrdocodine for degenerate disk disease in my lower bk in constant pain but once a month I have to go for a drug test I don't know if their looking for the hydrocodine of something else I don't do drugs
