Side Effect Galvus Met 50 1000

I have Diabetes 2. I am also an epileptic and take Tegrotol CR 400 mg three times a day as well as Sedabarb 30 mg three times a day. I have been on Tegrotol and the equavalent of sedabarb since 1969. Dosages have just changed as needed. I am now also on Galvus Met 50/1000 for plus minus 3 years. The side effects I am now showing is: The shin, in the fold of my leg, my whole back and arms are itchy. On my back I have small sores as I am scratching. The itching is rediculous. My ankles and feet are puffy and uncomfortable. The skin on my back and my legs are red and swollen ## I am using galvus met 50/1000 for 4 months and for the past week experience right nose bleed . ## sing 50/1000 galvus met for 5 months and my right nostril start to bleed

I am 59 and a diabetic for the past 7 years. I am also having high bp. I am 5'8" and weigh 68 kg. Generally my fbs/pps readings are n the range of 130/140, but for 2 months I have been getting readings of 150/160 and hba1c is 7.2. Up till now I have been using glycomet gp1 in the night and glycomet 250 in the morning for the past 3 years. After seeing the past 2 months' reports my doctor prescribed Galvus met 50 mg/1000mg in the night and glycomet 250 in the morning, but I am unable to decide about Galveston met. My doubts are: 1. It's such a strong and powerful medicine to be taken for these readings? 2. Could you please tell me what is the difference between 50 850 galvus met & 50 1000 galvus met . ## Hello, Mohammed! How are you? From what you've listed the dosage is different. One contains 50mgs of Vidagliptin and 850mgs of Metformin, while the other contains 1,000mgs of the Metformin, with the Vidagliptin. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence and stomach pain. Hi.....Doctor, My doctor advised to take daily a tablet Nefrosave, since I am a patient of DM type 2 & HTN for the last 9 years ...my blood uric acid,creatinine,urea nitragen, lipid profile all normal in range but HTN sometimes 160/85 go & my HbA1C is 8.5. Should Galvus met be taken before or after a meal? I take 2 a day of 50/1000.
