I am looking into changing pain management doctors. I've been on pain management over 8 yrs. My original one stopped doing pain mgmt last year & it took forever to find one to take my case. Now, i'm starting to question him & would like to know if anyone has any recommendations. I'm taking 40MG of OXYCODONE a day & 100MCG Fentanyl patch, plus Methocarbamol. Those are the "main" ones. Any help would be really appreciated! ## Pow dr dropped me over a U/A for alcohol. I'm so tired of the war over meds or medical marijuana. I just got rocked by my dr. Now I'm in search of a new dr who may help in Colorado Springs; even a cash dr till my referral from my primary care dr gets into the system.

Colorado need a good dr one that actually cares what u say/feel that is not scared to do pain management and won't make me take crap like cymbalta (which almost killed me but dr insisted benifits out weighed side effects) (also quit smokin cigs and cannabis cuz dr INSISTED that was reason I had pain) FED UP IN COLORADO I'M BROKEN N HURTIN IS BULLS***.... ## Hello, Jodi! How are you? Sorry about the problems that you're having. However, the days of any doctor prescribing stuff, without trying other non-narcotic options first are over. New regulations were put in place this year that makes it even harder for them. Do you have a PCP that could refer you to someone? That would most likely be the fastest and easiest way to get the help you need. What problem did you have with the...

I've been on methadone for almost 13 yrs due to a car accident when I was a teenager that left me disabled and with chronic pain. My current Dr. Received a letter from the Medical Board ( which he let me see) explaining that in order to keep prescribing methadone that he will need to get a license that will allow him too continue to perscribe this. My dr said it's became a huge hassle and that because of other patients "dr shopping" he just can't do it anymore. I've been with him for over 6 yrs! He was nice enough to give me a supply to last me a few months to give me time to find a Dr that will help me. My dr now said if by chance I'm still haveing trouble at the end of three months, he will keep helping me but he's not sure for how much longer. I'm ...

my pharmacy stoped getting the 30 mg. melloncrodt oxcycodone brand and the other brands get me sick is there anyone that can tell me where I can go get that brand of medication please? ## Ask your Pain Management MD or the MD that wrote the script for you to notate on the script to fill as is. That way a pharmacy can't substitute. ## The only problem with that Zi can't find a pharmacy that carries that brand. : ( sucks ## @Ben, Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anyway of knowing which brand is in stock at any given moment. I think this is because they usually just hand you whatever it is that's sitting on the shelf; and that tends to be from whomever their cheapest supplier is at that time. My suggestion is that if you know of a pharmacy that used to carry a particu...

I have disc disease and nerve damage with cancer. I have DNA paper analysis saying that my body is totally ok with 30mil oxycodone. in major pain ## Hello, Star Monroe! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Unfortunately, there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Technically, any doctor can prescribe it for pain, however, due to the regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist if you require it on a long-term ongoing basis. Moved To Colorado 3 weeks ago from Alabama. Seeking pain management doctor ## Hello, Brian! How are you? Pain management specialists don't advertise that they treat with opiates, so there's no way to search for listings under that criteria. Do you have a PCP in your new area, yet? If so, they will most likely be able to provide you with a referral to a doctor that can help.

We are sick of Las Vegas and are desperate to move. Does anyone know a state or doctor where there is snow and mountains and doctors who prescribe methadone ( an opiate not opioid ) for chronic pain.
