About 5 months ago my Doctor said "I the Medical Group that I represent insists that you go to One of Their Pain Management Doctors. The last 5 months have been a Nightmare. I have never been so humiliated. I live in Massachusetts and what's happening is Ridiculous. I have worked my Ass to the bone for 35 years and I am treated like some street junkie by this new Pain Doctor. Don't know what to do anymore, but I will not give up. I know there are good Doctors out there. I live alone and will move if need be. I refuse to live a life of pain daily because of government guidelines taking Away My Rights. I am going...

No one knows what we live with. I took Norco for 5ys. for arthritis severe low back pain. Then I was dx'd with massive peripheral nerve damage. The pain became horrible. So he put me on methadone 30mg 3 times a day along with the Norco 10/325 that I was already taking. I became tolerant to the Norco in about 2 more years. Now I'm taking...

My pain clinic in GA is currently giving me 30 mg oxycodone 3x a day, so 90 a month. I'm not a drug seeker but am in agony without medication. Any of these drugs can make you itch depending on how used to them and how much you take. If you are young, do everything you can to stay away from these drugs, and if you're using them for recreation I beg you to stop. Now that I've said all that, some people need to have them. Even young people ... but they can be as dangerous as they are helpful if you are not very careful to come off them as soon as possible. I am 49 years old. I broke my back when I was 28 years old, and I started taking them. I've had surgeries and I've come off the pills for years at a time, but from the time of my first back surgery my spine developed little holes and massive calcium deposits (scar tissue) so that the bones became brittle and the nerves more and more impinged. After the third bac...

They are cutting me down as I asked them to in hopex to me getting off of them soon,I just didn't know if the insurance would cover two scripts in a month period even though it's only going to be for five days until I can go back to get the rest. ## Re: "how early can you fill oxycodone pills" To ensure an accurate answer, it'd probably be best to consult the specific pharmacy location that's filling your prescription. Greetings to all! I could really use some help, advice, and direction. I was first prescribed oxycodone for cancer pain during chemo-therapy (to which I added major dietary changes to fight my battle). I have a hx of lower back and neck pain, sometimes extreme from degenerative disc disease -- all based upon injuries 30+ years earlier. Post back surgery, post aggressive chemo the oxycodone was continued through a pain clinic along with spinal IV's every 3 months because the lower back and neck pain was really hurting my life with interfering pain. I will add I would take acupuncture, massage therapy, reiki, physical therapy and nutritional changes over medications any day yet no insurance will cover them but "hey, let's give you drugs!" is covered without hesitation. I d...

Following Rotary Cuff surgery, my husband was given Oxycodone 5-325. Some of the things he experienced were nausea, vomiting and heartburn, in addition to extreme constipation. After drinking massive amounts of water, suffering, discomfort, etc., it took a Linzess capsule, and two large doses of Milk of Magnesia before he finally was able empty his bowels the next morning following extreme discomfort. I was prepared to have to go back to the hospital, but THANK THE LORD, he finally got relief. The on call person allowed us to change to Hydrocodone 7-325; he had taken a few of those until the cortisone shot took effect while being scheduled for surgery. He did not experience a problem with the Hydrocodone, even though I’m sure it can be bad as well. He has not had a pain pill of an...

Help!! I go to pain management once a month. Been on Hydromorphone (8mgs.3x's a day) for about a year. Not helping much at all for quite a while! I'm On Hydromorphone cause I have Hep C. My question is: does Oxycodone come without acetaminophen and Tylenol? ## Hello, Sassie Massie! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Tylenol is just a name brand for Acetaminophen, so they are the same thing. And yes, Oxycodone is available by itself in instant release, regular release and time released formulations. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you, Verw...

Please I am looking for doctor's in the RI area I have major disc's problems also major nerve damage in both arm's. I'm in massive pain. 24/7. I've only taken them for a month so far they have helped. The doctor I was seeing will not keep me on them. I need to find another doctor ## Hi, Jake! What type of doctor prescribed them? If it was surgeon or GP, then that's most likely why, there are strict regulations now regarding what they can prescribe and for how long. If you require a medication like this on an ongoing basis for chronic pain, you should ask for a referral to a pain management specialist, that would be the best route to find the help you need. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Does anyone know of a good doctor there? ## I need a new doctor in ct or ...

Hey everyone, I'm new to the boards and was hoping someone would be able to help me with this because I am at an absolute loss. I'm from Long Island so I'm looking for anything in Nassau or Suffolk County! Anyway, My emergency room CO-Pay is Extremely high and I just can't afford it up front like they insist. Urgent Care/City MD/Walk in is much more affordable for me. I took a bad fall down the stairs this afternoon and I have a huge lump on my arm, cut my tongue open, I'm in massive pain. I don't typically take pain medication because I'm luckily pretty healthy but I really need to get to a walk in tomorrow that will examine me, make sure I'm okay and be ok prescribing me pain meds (at least for a few days until I can afford the ER when my paycheck comes in

Please help me with pain doctor in Massachusetts i just got taken off ocycodone 30 mg and need a doc that writes and helps people in pain ## Hello, Marc! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. Why were you taken off of it? Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Arlington mass dr who will prescribe oxycodone 15 mg ## Hello, Jess72! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no such things as a schedule two doctor. Doctors are generally not sorted according to what they will or will not prescribe. If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? Do you have a PCP that might be able to refer you?

I am trying to find a doctor or pain clinic in Western Massachusetts (Springfield / Westfield Area) for my wife, the doctor she was seeing took her off the fentanyl patches and oxycodone when she got pregnant with our 3rd daughter. She was on them for a lower back problem where the disk had ruptured requiring emergency surgery and combination sciatica issues and fibromyalgia. the problem came about while my wife was pregnant the medical practice the Dr was a apart of closed down and the doctor opened her own private practice and now does not prescribe at all to anyone for any reason at all. I have been calling around and it seem's like none of the practices prescribe at all. we got her into Baystate Pain Management in Springfield Mass but they lied to us over the phone. we waited 2 ...

I hv to chg primary care MD, been on oxycodone + clonazepam a few years, ? an MD (PCP) who will prescribe these or other like meds (w my medical Hx Info) in Central Ma, preferably Leominster/Fitchburg/Worcetser, Central Mass area. I'm used to the pain contract & u.a, pill counts, pain diary.. that don't bother me, as long as my urine tox is ok (as it always was) & I follow what the doc ask of me I'd like to stay on my med routine. Anyone know of an MD who will do this? ## Hi, John! How are you? Under the new regulations, you're most likely not going to be able to get such medications, on a long-term basis, from a PCP. They are restricted now in what they can prescribe, how long they can prescribe it and why they can prescribe it. Thus, you'll need to set up a...

massive headaches and vomiting... This occurs with Vicodin, Oxycodone, Norco etc. I was told that they all are derivatives from codeine with other ingredients mixed in so they all have this effect.. What else can I use for pain control? ## Hello, Orlena! How are you? Those can be normal side effects of this medication, according to the FDA, you may also experience dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. Thus, that is a risk for virtually anything you try that is an opiate. Have you tried making sure that you don't take it on an empty stomach?

I have been on every pain med there is. I am now on fentanyl patches and I use oxycodone as a break through med. I also use lorazepam to help with the anxiety. I have been suffering with massive headaches where I get the feeling the my brain is spinning inside my head. I am wondering if it could be because I change my fentanyl patch to late. Can someone please help me? I am very desperate for an answer. I am starting to feel like I am going crazy. ## What dosage of Lorazepam do you take and how often do you take it? Benzodiazepines can be a headache culprit, so that would be the first thing I'd look at. Learn more Lorazepam details here. I recd 90 day supply of omeprezol. I noticed that they were pills not capsules. I looked up pill number. The medication in the bottle was OXYCODONE 5 mg/ acetomeniphen 325! This is seriously dangerous! Someone could have died! Pills were in sealed bottle marked.Sandoz. what to do? ## Contact the pharmacy and your local board of pharmacy. ## Wow, what a massive mix up that was! Omeprazole (used for excess acidity) being replaced with Oxycodone. That really could be life threatening for someone without a tolerance to opiates! Events like this just go to show that even "medical professionals" can and sometimes do make even the most serious of mistakes.
