I am a RN and I can give IM IV's easily to someone else but have difficulty giving them to myself. I recently was prescribed Methylcobalamin B12 IV's once a week for 3 months. I asked the pharmacist if I could give the IV sq instead of IM and he said that would be okay. I have researched and have not found any reliable study to the contrary. I had an attack of major depression with delussion & panic phobia some 16 years back. Treated by psychiatrist who prescbed different drugs on different ocassiona. Lastly i was under OLANZAPINE 5mg &FLUXETINE 20mg for last 8 years.But it was gradually making me drowsy & concentrationless Iwas getting blunt & gradually becoming incable of performing official work at which iwas very comfortable earlier , This compelled me to take advice of another psychiatrist in april 09. I would like to know similar to metanx formule drug for foot peripheral neuropathy availablle having same contents as under in India. Contents Each Metanx® tablet contains: L-methylfolate Calcium (as Metafolin®) 3mg Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate 35mg Methylcobalamin 2mg or advise any similar drug for treatment of foot neuropathy. is folic acid methylcobalamin and dha safe to take before pragnancy? ## Hi rashmi, Based on my research, all three of those products are considered to be safe for and during one's pregnancy. Apparently, taking Folic Acid as well as Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B-12) before and during pregnancy can help prevent birth defects. Those two nutrients seem to work as a team in this regard. DHA (fish oil) is also considered to be an essential nutrient for women, but even more so during pregnancy. Its positive effects help promote healthy cognitive function and motor development.
