My doctor informed me if I'd take the two together, it would enhance and prolong the effects of Vyvanse. I've tried it and it's true, it really does enhance & prolong the effects. Zegerid is available OTC and is an acid reducer and works quite well.
Filed under VyvanseTaking the two together has made a difference in the longevity of the Adderall. My Doctor informed me that Zegerid OTC would enhance the effects of the Adderall and also help in the medication lasting longer and I've tried it, it's true, it does help tremendously. Zegerid is an acid reducer that is available OTC. ## Any acid reducer should help. Amphetamine are basic and less acidic digestive system increases absorption. Although I think Adderall is something on the order of 75% bioavailable typically. If the acid reducer also increases urine ph, making it less acidic, more is reabsorbed and less is excreted. And anything that can increase urine or gastric ph will have the opposite effect. Which can come in handy for someone who is still a little stimulated and can't sleep. ...
1 REPLY Filed under AdderallMy dr. had me on a 40mg prescription of zegerid... when it went OTC my insurance company said it would no longer cover my prescription and recommended alternatives. I began taking 2 20mg zegerid daily instead... Is there any health risk to the additional sodium bicarbonate? or other concern? ## You really just have to keep in mind that pretty much every drug poses some sort of risk in the form of side effects. In my opinion the additional sodium bicarbonate shouldn't be much of an issue or any issue at all if the dose is small. Some side effects that you might expect after having too much sodium bicarbonate are: • increased thirst • stomach cramps • gas • severe headache • nausea â€&...
2 REPLIES Filed under Zegerid OtcGabapentin 300 mg.cap, Protonix 40 mg.Tab., Amitiza 24 MCG cap, Zegerid 40-1100 Cap, MRI with Contrast ## Gabapentin aka neurontin controls seizures, assists with sleep. I take 800 each night with 12.5 zolpidem which is time released. Ive never slept so well. ## Of the medications you listed, Gabapentin, Protonix, and the contrast medium have all been known to have detrimental effects on the kidney, though such occurrences are very rare. How severe is it, and what treatment options has your doctor suggested? Do you have high blood pressure, or a cardiac condition?
2 REPLIES Filed under GabapentinI have been using lamictal for about 5 months now and my reflux seems to be getting worse. I have had reflux for years but it has been controled well on zegerid up intill now. Has anyone heard of this reaction. ## Lamictal contains the active ingredient Lamotigrine, it's an anticonvulsant used to treat BiPolar disorder and seizures. Acid reflux is not listed as a commonly known side effect, however, some medications can make it worse or irritate it. Have you tried speaking to your doctor about this? ## Have an appointment with my GI doctor on Tuesday the 24th. I have intentions of talking to her then. Thank you for your reply.A548 ## Not reflux but when I swallow it feels like my esophagus has narrowed, no trouble eating or drinking but swallowing is not normal.
