Has anyone that has used Flonase got cataracts? I have them because of it and nasonex. Are there any class actions against the makers of this? I would not have used it if I had known. ## Have the doctors definitively tied your cataracts to the medications? We have had other posts on here about vision issues developing from people using these types of medications. The problem, however, is proving they are what caused it. And no, I'm sorry, but I know of no class action suits in regards to this. ## My eye surgeon said they were definately caused by steroids and the only one I have used is flonase. She said she could tell by the location of my cataracts, they are posterior and can only be caused by steroid use. If enough people have this kind, I would think it could be proven. ## i hav...

Well, my husband and I tried to get our Fluticasone refilled today and we were told that there is a shortage and the pharmacy said it could be months before they get a supply in. They said they will order it every day. Doesn't give us much consolation. Have asked our doctors to prescribe something else. Well my insurance company will pay some on Nasacort and my husband's company will only pay half which makes it too expensive for him to purchase. What the heck is going on with these drugs companies? Also really like the fact that we are kept in the loop on this one. Didn't know there was a shortage until it was time to refill this month. They have known about the shortage since April when Par stopped making Fluticasone. ## We live in Aloha, OR. Last weekend my husband and I ...

I have had nothing but positive experiences since I started taking methylprednisolone for my allergies. I went to the doctor on Tuesday due to horrible allergy/sinus symptoms. He put me on the methylprednisolone six day pack as well as flonase twice a day. By the second day, not only were my allergy symptoms completely gone but my anxiety is gone too! I have had anxiety issues off and on for years, but it has been moderate to severe in the last few months. I was nervous about taking steroids because I had heard they can make anxiety worse, but that didn't happen! For the first time in months, I am in a good mood and have absolutely no feelings of anxiousness or dread that have have been plaguing me! I'm starting to wonder if my anxiety is somehow tied to the allergies themselves...

I didn't find any interactions listed between these medications, but you should double check this information to be certain. My 5 year old son takes 5mg singulair, 1t of zurtec and flonase spray every day. We live in michigan and he crues because he cannit breath through his nose. He has asthma as well. Anyone out there with children similar? Finding better success with different drugs in similar situation? ## Have you taken him to an allergist that treats children, or just a regular doctor? At his age, you do have to be very careful with the medications that are used and a specialist will probably be able to provide him with the most assistance in this matter. In spite of what my regular doctor tried, when I was younger, I really got no results, until I was an adult and went to an actual allergist, so I really think you should look into one for him.

I went to the E.R. on Sun night for a migraine and they ended prescribing amox/k clav 875/125, 1x every 12 hrs. & flonase spray for sinnitius & something about slanted ear or something to do with ears. Now what my concern is, it is now Thursday and i've taken as prescribed. However since the 2nd day of dosing my symptoms went from (only the doctor noticed them and then treated to) me being miserable with sinuses either running/foamy, to feeling like bees built a hive. & my eyes either water like a faucet or they feel gooey in the inner corners while eyelashes feel like spider legs. What can i take for nasal congestion ? I get nasal congestion when i take prazosin hcl. ## Hello, John! How are you? Unfortunately, I've found that most stuff on provides minimal help, but if your doctor approves of your trying it, you may benefit from an antihistamine, such as Benadryl, or Flonase nasal spray, though they can sometimes elevate blood pressure, so it's best to only take them, if your doctor approves. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have a URI and received a free sample of Dymista. The first time I used it, I sneezed 20 times in a row spread out over a minute. I thought maybe it was a fluke so I tried it again. Same reaction. Not only do i sneeze but i feel miserable and have to blow my nose for the next 5 minutes. Could I be allergic to this medication? I've never had this reaction from Flonase, which I know is fluticasone, one of the main ingredients of Dymista. Maybe it's the azelastine that triggered the reaction? Has anyone else reported this reaction? ## Yes, the sneezing and nose blowing due to excessive mucous have been reported by others that have tried it. It just might not be the right medication to help you, since your symptoms are so severe. You may also experience headache, change in taste a...

I've been taking Watson 5-325 hydrocodone from Walgreens for years for back pain. I am disabled, have scoliosis and two bad car accidents caused the need. 3 months ago Walgreens changed to this new Actavis brand. It isn't working! Until I read this, I thought I would have to increase my dosage. Also for the past 3 months I've had sore throat and pain in sinuses and ears. I thought I had overdone my Flonase and have gone through 2 rounds of antibiotics without relief. When I read about the mother's ears ringing and nausea, I put this together. Thank you so much! I scheduled another appointment today for next week about this. Hopefully a new scrip will solve both issues. I went to CVS today and found out they have qualitest brand hydrocodone. ## @Brat Cat, You're defin...

Can Flonase cause a false positive for cocaine? ## I'm a Nurse practitioner and Yes, I have heard several of my patients that tested positive in hair drug screenings for cocaine - when I KNOW they haven't been doing drugs of any kind. It hasn't been an issue for urine drug screenings, just the hair drug screenings come back positive. The manufacturer neither "denies nor reports" any known false positives for cocaine in hair testing. I think they are trying to find answers too. ## I took Flonase for one day.
