just an FYI, prednisone can also be used for certain types of anemia. when i was 2 years old, i was hospitalized with coombs positive hemolytic anemia. i was literally bleeding to death. the thing that saved my life was prednisone. this would have been around 1971, and steroids werent really being used for anemia yet. my pediatrician and a specialist he was working with at kaiser hospital in california were sort of pioneers at the time with that treatment.

another huge side effect of prednisone, or any steroidal meds, is weight gain. a good thing when you are a sickly 2 year old! but no morphine, oxycodone, codeine nor any other opioids in it.
