Zubsolv To Pain Meds. How Long Do I Have To Wait? (Top voted first)

Updated

I take zubsolv daily. Have been for years. Recently broke a bone and was prescribed pain meds that are opiates. How long should I wait to take one for pain and it work right? Hurting so bad.

Just take the Zubsolv and don't bother with the 5mg Oxycodone or Vicodin that they will give you for the pain. The Beup in Zubsolve is a lot stronger than what they prescribe after surgeries. I broke a bone and had to be operated on. I didn't tell them about my history so when I came to after the procedure, I was thrashing around in my hospital bed because the amount of pain I was in. The meds they gave me would suffice for a normal person and not an abuser. The Zubsolv will hepl with the pain for sure. I have had back pain for 10 years and feel fine on Zubsolv. Also if you do decide to take the pain meds, you will start to endure withdrawals because like i mentioned before the Beup is stronger. I learned all of this from trying it out myself. Some people are different though so best of luck in either decision you make. Oh and to actually answer your question; you can take the percs or vics the day after your last Zubsolv. I haven't heard of anyone going into instant withdrawals by mixing or taking them to close to eachother. Its just a waist of your money when you do that....

To JT, I noticed u had been on zubsolv for pain as well. Did it work well? Did you ever have bad side effects. Have you tried getting off of it at all bc I don't want to be on it long term and am hearing horrible things about withdrawl

As soon as you are honest with the doctors about taking any bupenorphine medication, you're automatically labeled a drug seeker and they are actually less likely to help you. You have to be off of zubsolv or Suboxone for a minimum of 72 hours before surgery to get anything close to half decent pain relief.

Has anyone else experienced chronic nausea and vomiting with zubsolv or subutex?

I take zubs daily... 11.4 at the moment. have been on some kind of opiate since 14 & now 32... basically have the highest tolerance to any narc from adderall to Xanax and everything in between. My question is to those who are true blue burnouts like myself... I have some blue roxicodone and need to get input on how many mgs will be required to breech the agonist barrier... If clean of zubs, it takes about 2 k8's for me to feel it.

I take 2 zubsolvs a day. It's like taking 2 subozone. I've gotta get my gallbladder taken out tomorrow. I stopped taking it today, should I be fine tomorrow after surgery to take opiates they give me?

Hey buddy I'm a pharmacist and be which means I can prescribe medication I just can't prescribe schedule 2 meds, that's the only difference between me and your regular MD. I know much more about this and so let me answer that question for you real quick. You have nothing at all to worry about because you're going in for surgery, as long as you let them know what you're taking when you go in for surgery because they obviously need to know everything that you're on because you're going to be out on the table having surgery regardless of how big or small the surgery? I'm a stage 4 cancer patient so I also have a lot of experience in these situations too that's why I try to help people through this website.

It's weird because I get e-mail updates where people are responding to other people but for some reason it seems like they only post the replies letter, never giving the name of the person they're responding to, you know what I'm saying? I promise you you will have no worries at all as long as you tell them the medicine you're on before you go in for surgery which they should know without a doubt! So as I was saying I don't know if I mentioned it in your reply cuz I just try to reply to a couple people a day, I'm laid up 24-7 right now and I was a pharmacist 20 years plus. So I try to help in any way I can. Now since the doctors and especially the anesthesiologist will know which medications you're on before you come in for your surgery you have no worries at all? The anesthesiologist is going to give you so many medications that you don't have to worry about anything upsetting anything because they know what you already are taking. {edited for privacy}

I have had surgery twice this year, once in March, and again last week. Even waiting 72 hours after taking zubsolv or anything with buprenorphine, all other opiates still come on very weak. If you can, stop a week before surgery. Withdrawals don't start immediately because of the long half-life. You will probably start feeling it a little after 48 hours, so at that point you need to start taking some other opiate around the clock. If you can get your hands on a fentanyl patch and use it as it is intended to be used, that will keep you out of withdrawal for close to 72 hours. At that point you'll be able to feel the feel the effects of other opiates again, so try to get a Rx from your surgeon that will carry you over the next few days until your surgery. If you wait a week, the IV pain killers they give you before and after surgery will work much better. Once you finish the pain killers that they give you AFTER surgery, wait several hours to a day after your last dose until you feel mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms before you go back on your zubsolv. You have to make sure that the opiates aren't still working so that you don't throw yourself into precipitated withdrawal. If you take a pain killer after you've already been on zubsolv, nothing will happen, but if you take a zubsolv after you've only been on pain killers and aren't in withdrawal yet, you are in for a nasty kind of hell. It will make you so sick. I hate trying to explain things typing on my phone, so hopefully all of that made sense.

I've been on Zubsolv for about four to five months. Two 5.7mg per day. Tapered down to half a pill. Have been clean for over four days. And still feel absolutely nothing from my vicodin that I'm currently prescribed. I'm extremely active as well. I know people differ but unless you are a short term user it's going to take quite a few days to get out of your body. I was taking zubsolv for pain management. For anyone that is on this for pain - WARNING... it's makes pain 1000 times worse. These "professionals" don't seem to understand that naloxone blocks your natural endorphins that regulate pain. Pain management doctors are so paranoid to prescribe now, leaving patients in agony. This is a huge part of the opioid crisis. Only in America!

Hey bud I used to be a on subs. Been clean 10years. Subs have a half life 24to48 hours I believe. If you took subs then the other two at hospital and it's been over 24 hours. I'd take the dil. Be very careful with fen cause it's very strong.
