What was the main active ingredient in the pills that were known as speed or white cross during the 70's and 80's? They were small white tablets with a cross or X scored on one side

Speed typically contained Amphetamines, a stimulant.

There are still people today that use and they have found their niche in the prescription drug market to treat conditions such as ADHD, Narcolepsy and Shift Work Disorder.

The most commonly used one is Adderall.
