Pharmacies That Carry Buprenorphine Made By Mylan Or Roxanne 54 411 (Page 12)

Updated

I've been taking Buprenorphine 8mg for 3 1/2 years now, all of a sudden every pharmacy in our area (that I know of) has switched the manufacturer they are order from, frustrating to me as I just seem to see a difference all though there shouldn't be. Does anyone know a pharmacy that still carries bup mg with the imprint 54 411?

Hi Bobby, there is Rhodes buprenorphine 8mg...you can call the distributors which are Cardinal, Mckesson, and AmerisourceBergen. They will help you locate Pharmacies in your area that have them. There is also a site on Google you can search called btodrems.com. It will list all the generic brands with phone numbers and what the pill looks like. I have found out that all the buprenorphine says Mylan 8.624, actavis 8mg. Hi tech 8.64, westward now hikma 8.64, Rhodes 8.64, sun 8, and teva 8.64 all equivalent to 8mgs of bup..I really dont understand that part to much...but anyway this page will tell you everything you want to know about the buprenorphine along with phone numbers. The phone number I called for the Rhodes imprint 'Rp b8' is 1-888-827-0616. I'm in southwest Florida and so far no luck finding them. Everyone says yes they are here but I only found 2 Pharmacy's that carry them. But they told me until they have more ppl in the area on Buprenorphine they are not ordering from any of the companies.

Did you mean you have been getting Rhodrs bup. From Walmart?? If so o have 4 in my area one said they will not be carrying ant type of buprenorphine so I will try the other 3 to see what they have..I just assumed if one wasn't going to carry it ...it might of meant they all would not carry it

Re: Jess (# 141) Expand Referenced Message

I just got off the phone with mylan..yes they still are making them. All she told me was to call around and see who has it, and if your body does not agree with the inactive ingredients to some of the generic buprenorphine you can ask your dr to write on the script to please order from. (....) what bup. Manufacturing company you want and the Pharmacy's will work better with you ..idk .I'm going to try it anyway

Re: Charlene (# 221) Expand Referenced Message

Hi yea it must be really new because at the time I posted that I hadn't heard any people saying they had gotten it and online there way only only blurry pic. I hope Purdue makes it more available because we need more quality brands on the market. Teva used to make a really good one but then they discontinued it and just bought activis and that is the product they put out now. Id like to try the Rhodes Purdue one if I can get my CVS to order it for me. It seems like it is still pretty scarce.

Re: Bobby (# 224) Expand Referenced Message

Hi again Bobby, I've been so discouraged with the generics of buprenorphine at the moment. I have been on it since 2007 and I still take 4 8mg day...I keep having bad reactions all of a sudden from the I believe 3 generics in my area which happen to be actavis orange, and I can find the sun, pharma, along with hikma 54 411s..i have never tried the sun yet. I called every pharmacy to see what they have. The only problem I'm having is the one pharmacy that carries 54 411 is they wanted almost $300 for my months worth and on top of that i do have insurance my usual cost has always been $45 for all my months worth and my husband can't afford it..for me..so i still have less than 2 weeks to keep hunting around at the moment it seems its going to be either the sun, or actavis orange I'm trying to decide between them...i know for a fact i can go to this one pharmacy to get the 54 411s other than the expensive pharmacy i got it from prior to this refill. The problem was the polls looked all chipped a bit, not clean looking so what's with that. On the bottle it did say westward, and my new bottle this month said hikma..I know hikma merged or bought out westward but I don't want the junkie looking pills again..truly I want Rhodes..I have called the company and all 3 distributors and just no luck..I'm just angry about it all at the moment and my whole day consumed with looking at blogs, and calling pharmacies..I just dont think it should be like this. At least it never used to be like this. I feel as I'm going crazy. Someone mentioned to me call and see if we had a prime pharmacy in the areas. I found one but again no luck. Thx for getting back with me.

I got mine filled at Wal-Mart in Eastgate, OH. They said they don't know if they will have anymore and no longer take discount pharmacy cards unless they have Wal-Mart on them. The lady found a card that knocked it to 150 but the head pharmacist was very rude and wouldn't allow the discount. I had to pay 300 for them. This month I went to 5 different pharmacies and they either didn't accept new patients or that Dr, so Walgreens filled them and they are orange football's. The taste made me sick. I'm getting migraines every night and just feel like they don't last like the 54411s. Can anyone please point me in the right direction to get the 54411? It's bad enough I have to go to OH to get filled cuz KY won't fill if the Dr doesn't put allergic to naloxone on it. Suboxone gives me migraines and projectile vomiting. I just can't take them and I don't know what to do. I refuse to go back to opiates. I just need help!!

Re: Charlene (# 225) Expand Referenced Message

Hello I posted last month about Sun pharmaceutical in India. Stay way from these.! They burn/sting under your tongue and many times my tablets were inconsistent in effect. Sometimes stronger sometimes weaker. I am satisfied with Mylan. My Dr writes it on my prescription Mylan or West Ward. With a RX California discount card I pay $218.49 for 120 8mg at CVS . Without that and/or insurance is over $600 !!! I am trying to find a pharmacy to order the Rhodes Pharma RP /B 8 tablets up here in the San Francisco Bay area and that accepts the Cal RX discount card. I heard they cost about the same as all the others? So if anyone knows where to get the RP-B8 tablets in the SF Bay area let me know. Thank you

You’re so not alone.. I’ve been going to Walmart for the Westward and now they stopped accepting discount cards. My CvS started giving me a hard time about ordering my generic brand .. they tried me on two others and I was sick and depressed on both. They act like I’m crazy.. I also went through that at Walgreens. I just can’t believe the difference in genetics is so wrong!!!

I have called the distributors for Rhodes new buprenorphine 8mg..they are Mckesson, Cardinal, and Amerisource..Bergen.they will help you locate the new Rhodes and direct you to what Pharmacy's care them..her in southwest Florida I can only find on place that carries them..but they are not ordering any buprenorphine unless they have a good amount of ppl ordering them..so far no luck..then I read someone said if you have a Prime pharmacy in your area they have them..so I called one in Jacksonville Florida and the pharmacist said they can even deliver mail order, I got all excited until she told me all I had to do is bring my driver's license to them..well that's a 8 hour drive for me soo that's out...she said she does not understand why everyone is having a problem because they are easy to get and order she said they are a cheap m.n generic costing them $2.40 per pill.....they have been out since October 2017...... so I'm still on this hunt too.....the only 3 generics I can find in my area is sun pharma, Hikma, and the orange half moon....I never tried Mylan. I can even find it. I called them and spoke with a lady she took my phone number and addressed..in the mail yesterday they gave me a huge pamphlet to look through. Mylan brand is out...they just mailed me a huge pamphlet yesterday.

I know it has been a long time since this question was first asked but I can completely relate. As someone who doesn’t have health insurance & especially not one that will cover my Subutex prescription at all, I know the struggle every month and how it seems to be getting more and more difficult and stressful every month that I need to fill it. I used to always get the Roxanne/West-Ward 54/411’s at Walmart but since they stopped accepting discount cards at all (don’t even get me started there), I have found it extremely difficult to find this specific brand of them especially. I have willingly tried several different brands, one of which, in recent months, were the small round ones with the arrow on one side (can’t for the life of me remember the manufacturer) and I’m sorry but there is NO WAY that they have the same amount of the one ingredient. After all the info & opinions I’ve read on even just this site about that specific brand, I’m not the only one that feels that something is a bit off about them either. Anyways, I got tired of dealing with the issues & poor treatment that I’ve received from many of the chain pharmacies around here (NC), I decided to take my doctors advice and try a smaller family owned pharmacy, I feel that I got extremely lucky because not only do they happen to already carry the West-Ward Subutex but they also have their own medication cost discount program and my prescription ended up being less than 150$ which I haven't found ANYWHERE else since January. Money is already tight for us and when you have to pay up to $250 a month for one prescription it really weighs you down so I was thrilled when they told me the price and not to mention they actually treated me like a human being deserving of kindness & common courtesy! With all bs treatment I’ve received from pharmacists & many times more so it’s the pharmacy techs, and the fact that they will just straight up lie to me about things that don’t need to be lied about, this was a much needed, refreshing experience. Sorry for the long post about this but I just had to share it somewhere because I know how it feels to almost have a panic attack every month when it comes time to fill them.

I've had no one around me in RI get the Rhodes brand and only heard of s few people online who say they randomly got them. The Westward brand unfortunately istill seems to be the best generic available realistically now.

Re: Charlene (# 229) Expand Referenced Message

Yeah, I called Mylan directly and keep in touch with them. I was put on the Mylan brand of buprenorphine while I was out in California, seeing a specialist for my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, to find other pain medication to take that will work for my pain, besides opiates. I wanted off of the opiates, because I was so scared being on them and because of the opiate crisis going on. If anybody that’s a drug addicted and if they hear you are on a opiate, they won’t hesitate to try and break into your house to get the opiates. It’s happened around my area many times. Even though I live in a very nice up-scale subdivision. I even had my pain doctor called the pharmacy and make them find the Mylan brand and they just can’t find it anywhere. I wish they would’ve put me on another type while in California, then I would’ve already had all the kinks worked out with all the side effects from the different brands.

Re: Kelsey (# 230) Expand Referenced Message

Totally totally understand where your coming from! And I also am a lover of the Roxanne brand, and used to it to where I don't want nothing else as in different brands, me n my husband both get a prescription of them, and also always went to Walmart cause we knew they'd be the correct brand. Well after 2 n half years of being on them it seemed like issue after issue with Walmart, first had to switch to a littler Walmart because it was in "our district" as of January 1 u could no longer go over a county line. (and we only went a county over because that's where my doctor was located) but than got to this other Walmart and it was nothing but problems out of them. From not having enough to fill my whole script, to them being totally out and them being on backorder for two-three weeks at a time, to the pharmacist trying to say they couldn't fill our script unless we bought a prescription of Narcaan for $60 with it...and I wasn't about to do that! Than that blew over after speaking to my doc about it, than the pharmacist tried telling me that he wouldn't fill my script unless he seen a decrease in my dosage... And I am nowhere ready to be dosed down so I finally said the hell with walmart, and went to a CVS that I had heard has the Roxanne brand, and they did, if you told them ahead of time and was able to order them.

It was a hit or miss with them for about 3 months but also more expensive than Walmart unfortunately. I've also heard since I left that Walmart stopped taking the discount card which I feel is total crap for us that have no insurance! However I'd find a way to pay the 300 and something bucks for it IF I KNEW it was the only pharmacy I could get the 54 411s! Lol Luckily I just found out through my (again new doctor) that he has a contract through one certain Walgreens in specific in Gainesville, FL (my doc is also located) but they are because of our doctor the only Walgreens that actually specially orders the Roxanne brand for his patients, so in the last two months I bn goin there, they've been the right ones and we pay less than 100 bucks for my script of #60 ND about 146 bucks for my husband's #75.. They've had them or been quick to order them and have never had to wait more than the next day for them! It's a huge relief knowing that your not going to have a problem getting your medication or be out for a couple days for sure! And I totally understand the way the pharmacist treat ya like crap we used to get that too, but these people are awesome! Glad you finally found a lil pharmacy to get then from cause I know it's very very stressful! And I'm pregnant with twins so I don't want anything else but my roxanne brand! Lol

In Salt Lake City, you can easily get 8 mg Subutex at all the Smith supermarket pharmacys.
They are orange footballs and are the same as the bigger 8mg, 411 Subutex pills.
They are not Suboxen, though orange.
Never heard of the 411 being so hard to get.
Much Peace

That's insane what the pharmacist was saying to you about the narcan script and not filling your script unless you decrease your dose! He has no right to demand that of you and I would have reported him for sure. Power trip

Re: Beaver0005 (# 237) Expand Referenced Message

No, you're right. I asked my doctor to call the pharmacy to make sure they get the brand of buprenorphine that agrees with my body chemistry. He did call, right in front of me. It’s out of the pharmacies control to get the generic brands of buprenorphine into their businesses. It’s the manufacturing companies. I’ve done all the research. Also I do call the manufacturing company who makes the generic brand of Subutex or buprenorphine, I take every month. They keep saying it’s a manufacturing problem and here’s the new release date and when it will be available, in the pharmacies. It never happens. I’m taking the next generic brand buprenorphine that works for me and it’s Actavis. I have to be on prednisone though because it causes my asthma to flare up. The Mylan generic brand of buprenorphine doesn’t cause my asthma to flare up. It’s the only one that doesn’t. I don’t know the pills by number. I know them by name. I have heard though from other people in this forum that they can’t get the brand you are inquiring about. All you can do, is call the manufacturing company and see if they are even going to continue to make it. Otherwise you will have to stay with other generic brands of buprenorphine, or go to the other sublingual, which is Suboxone. You’ll have the same issues with manufacturing problems with those too. I hope this information has helped you.

Re: Bobby (# 236) Expand Referenced Message

Wow, I’ve never heard of a pharmacy saying this to a patient. That’s off the chain. If it’s prescribed from a doctor, that’s what the patient should be getting from the pharmacy. Whoever this happened to, needs to turn that pharmacy into the Better Business Bureau.

The problems I’ve had with the different generic brand of buprenorphine is, causes my asthma to flare up really bad and I can’t breathe very well. I’ve had to be put on prednisone until the generic brand of buprenorphine comes out. Some types don’t work as well for my pain. Also problems getting the generic brand of buprenorphine into my pharmacy and the taste of the pill. Since you have to dissolve it under your tongue, I’d think they would make them taste better.
