If that's all you're experiencing, you're very lucky. I was addicted taking up to 80-160mg of oxy a day. I had the shakes, sweats, diarrhea, vomitting, cold sweats, hot flashes, constantly uncomfortable. Lasted about a week straight then slowed down. Yes, you're having detoxing symptoms, just be thankful they're not that bad. Oxy is something you're not supposed to quit cold turkey, because it is a raw form of heroin in a pill form. If you cook it down, it's the purest form of heroin you can get. So detoxing is dangerous cold turkey. Good luck, and I wish you the best ! I'm loving my life sober now for 2 years !! But if you need it, then you need it. If you have to have it, just try to cut back. Not take too much daily! I wish you the best on your recovery !!

Desperate, I take pain meds for a back injury however their was an augmentation in my pain that resulted in stomach and higher back pain. taking more pain meds made it worse, more tests revealed a hiatial hernia. I now take omeprazole and a med to help me relax that also re leave pressure on my diaphragm..

Wrong! The pain doctor's need to make sure it is in your system to give you more. If the test of oxycodone is negative, they will NOT refill your prescription, so you need to think on the other side!

I wanted to say your story is very interesting. I have a similar story aboutstomach pain. Last year I was well over 200 pounds when I woke up one night with severe stomach pain and nausa. I began vomiting and kept vomiting for 6 days straight. I couldn't hold anything down including water. I had to go to the hospital several times in that 6 days for dehydration. The second time I got sick it lasted for 10 days with all the same symptoms, including several more trips to the hospital. I got sick about 5 more times and had several tests with all the results being negative for whatwver they were testing me for. I was referred to a neurologist (weird right), and there I was diagnosed with a condition called cyclic vomiting syndrome. It is very painful in the base of your stomach. This is a condition where the mitochondria do not have enough energy to process my digestive system. They perscribed me a medication called amitriptiline which is an absolute wonderful medication. Within a half an hour the medication started working the first time I got sick again. It took away the pain in my stomach and also prevented the vomiting. I wanted to tell you about this medication because it may work for you. It is actually an antidepressent that helps with pain depression nd anxiety but also helps with the stomach pain. Please research this medication for yourself because it soesnt hurt to try! Good luck and I hope this helps!

No you do not inform them because they don't care what you tell them because they send the test sample to a testing center where you would have to tell them the name of your pharmacist who issued you the narcotics. They then will call the pharmacy and you are all set. But you never will tell them anything unless they request it. And the reason that is is because when you go pee in the cup they are not the ones testing it so it does not matter. You will receive a phone call from the testing center that actually tested your pee not where you took the sample. They will call you if oxycodone is in your system then they will call your pharmacist. Even tho you have a prescription some clinics are required to notify your employer either way of a positive drug test score of 50 or higher for positions such as
Driving jobs, teacher, daycare, federal, government and medical field. All private employers will not be notified of your positive test if you have a prescription.

So not true. I'm court ordered to take a tox screen, in the matter of guardianship of my daughter. (paternal grandfather is petitioning custody, from belief I'm all f***ed up) Even though I have script, it will still be held against me in court. I've completely lost faith in the system in every way.

It takes 2 to 5 days for sure. Opiates I do see a pm doctor for years and my knowledge comes from the doctor himself. Be careful with your replies and believing everything out there. I'm no expert. But my experience from being with my PM Doctor for years. Only Doctor I've have seen for my pain and will never have a second one ever. I'm going to have back surgeries so that I'm on my wellness. But as many people know back surgeries have a 50 50 chance of complete success without further care. So I wish for the best. Because being on opiates or any other meds that make an impact on other parts of your body. Opiates Should be minimize as much possible. There's other options out there. However some patients have no other choice. But I'm a firm believer of other safer treatments. Massage is good for me. People should venture off and meditations as well as acupuncture. be safe everyone

I have been taking the oxy and I am having severe stomach pain. They have done several test and cannot figure out why the pain. Just came from an ultrasound. Doctor thought something wrong with arteries. The arteries are all open and fine. Could the stomach pain be from the oxy?????

Oxycodone (most narcotics actually) often hurts my stomach. Worst pain is if I take it with little to no food and then if I don't sit up straight. Even slightly reclining in bed to read makes pain way worse. I actually just did this an hour ago and within 15 mins was doubled over in pain until I chugged Mylanta (which works quickly). I'm actually online right now trying to find out why it causes so much pain and found info about how it can cause pancreas issues which is felt as upper abdominal pain and pain in your back (you mentioned this). I'm assuming they've tested your lipase and amylase? If not, ask them to check (these are pancreatic enzymes).
In general, does anyone know why it might hurt me so much (5mg oxycodone- no APAP)? I'm guessing it's irritating lining of stomach since the Mylanta relieves almost all the pain in less than 5 mins. But I thought the stomach irritation comes from the acetaminophen in narcotics and these don't have any acetaminophen. Thanks in advance for any info!

Desperate, even though the "emotional pain" has turned into "physical" pain, have you thought about seeing a pyshciatrist? I have severe anxiety, that actually causes physical pain to me sometimes. Maybe talking to a pysch doctor about your problems, and letting him perscribe you medicine for it, then that will help.I hope everything works out for you. Good luck

If you have ligitimate script from your dr you have nothing to worry about. If you bought it off the street you might have a problem unless it was only one pill. Your body will motabolize a 30mg oxy in 4 days. Now if you've been on a sustained dose say 30mg 4X a day for a month it could be detected in your system up to 6months with certain tests.

Generally your body metabolizes oxycodone fairly quickly if you've only had a single dose. But since you have had a sustained dose over the last 16 days the drug can be detected in your system for up to 6 months. Oxycodone as you know is as close to pure heroine as you can get which makes it part of the opiate family. Opiates metabolize out of your system very slowly that is why they make such good pain killers because they "stay" in your system for a very long time with a sustained dose because the opiate gets into the fat cells of your body and lingers there until you either burn it up with physical activity or from your body normally just getting rid of it. If you have a legitimate prescription to be on the drug take it with you and show the person who gives you the test so they can make a note of it that you are "legit" to have it in your system. I started taking percocet about 3 years ago for an elusive stomach pain, (located in the "emotion basket" of my stomach). The more pain meds I took, the worse the stomach pain became and they upped the mg's then switched me over to straight Oxycodone. Today... (for about a year) I'm on 30mg 4 times a day. (every 5 hours) and the stomach pain is so horrendous that one tab does not knock all the pain and only lasts about 2 or 3 hours at best. I'm thinking it might be the Oxie that is MAKING my stomach hurt so severely, (through to my back like FIRE... seriously).
Since #1., the Oxy doesn't stop the pain completely, #2.I'm in an "opiate fog" all the time now and mostly because I'm thinking that it is so much Oxycodone in my system that is CAUSING the stomach pain, I would like to stop. It will be HORRIBLE to endure the pain but I'm hoping... if I get all the Oxy out of my system the stomach pain would at least deminish. Can you PLEASE tell me how's the best way to safely quit the Oxy completely? Thank you so much... I am really desperate.
