so the subutex alone will show up on a drug test given by a probation officer. cuz I'm not on suboxin just the subutex.

Yes if they choose the main panel test which happens to be cheaper than the separate tests. Subutex and suboxone are made up of Buphenorphine so it will show up in this test by oral eze

The same thing happened to me. I'm on Subutex and took a test and it came back positive for opiates. A week later same thing. So finally we called the pharmacy and they said it can cross over it's not common but possible. So there's your answer. It depends on your height, weight and if you have any medical problems.

If its a court mandated test yes they will probably look for it. but if you just going to the doctor to get on the subs they're going to be looking for other opiates like Heroin or pain killers or something along those lines. and if it is just the doctor do to test you can't go to jail or get in trouble you just going to be Denied The script

No ur a dumbass it does show up as an opiate. . I've been on subutex for over 10 years so trust and believe I know... you did some kindof opiate to test positive. . I take drug test every month for past ten years

I find many suboxone doctors to be different than other doctors. They know that most of us have been naughty and bought more than suboxone from the streets. In my experience a suboxone doctor tests you for drugs anyway and I don't think it will hurt you to be honest and say you've already been taking it. The doctor isn't a police officer. It might even help- he/she might benefit from knowing that you have experience with it, they should know what dosage you're currently on, and hopefully skip the introduction process but no promises. My experiences with sub doctors have probably been the best appointments I've had (besides the reason, obviously) because they have a great bedside manner and work with addicts on a constant basis so they treat you more like a person.
