My husband has a 100 degree temp. can we take tylenol w/this drug. It is Sun. cannot call hotline or doc. ## Sutent contains the active ingredient Sunitinib, this is used to treat several forms of cancer and tumors. That said, I would not suggest mixing in other drugs, without first speakng to his doctor or pharmacist. This drug can cause some side effects, such as: nausea, diarrhea, anorexia and janudice. His doctor is going to want to make sure what is causing his temperature, before he treats it. It could be related to his medical condition or something entirely different. Is there anything else I can help you with?

Looking for side effects and how to ease side effects ## Megestrol is used to treat advanced carcinoma of the breast and endometrium, in some cases, also to increase appetite. Side effects may include: changes in appetite, thirst or weight, diarrhea and high blood sugar. As to easing the side effects, this site is not medical professionals, so cannot possibly suggest anything. There are many products available, by prescription and over the counter that can help, but your medical condition as well as any other medications you are on have to be taken under consideration. The side effects should lessen as your body adjusts to the medication, but if they are troublesome, then you should speak to your doctor. Have you talked to them about it, yet?

had a reclast injection12/8/09 I had shorten on breath after the body aches and slight fever is this normal? I have rapid heartbeat everytime I try to doing anything like running the sweeper, dusting & etc. ## Flu-like symptoms exist in about 15% of patients who have Reclast (meaning 85% don't experience it). Your doctor should have told you to take Tylenol the day of your infusion and for three days following the infusion. You should have also drank two glasses of water the morning of the infusion, and eat normally. The body aches have been seen in clinical trials, but this is the case for all drugs in the class (to include Fosamax, Boniva, and Actonel). FYI, when a patient takes Reclast, 61% of the solution binds straight to the bones where it's needed and the remaining 39...

Is Avastin being used for macro degeneration? ## Do you mean wet, macular degeneration (seeing distorted straight lines)? If so, Avastin is a Godsend, stopping the disease in it's tracks. It has saved my vision. Treatments sound scary, but are easily tolerable. No anesthesia needed, etc. As far as I know there are no alternatives to saving your vision if you have wet AMD/ peace ## My mom lost her hearing in her left ear 5 days after her first shot of Avastin in her left eye for wet macular degeneration. Could there be a connection?

used for Authirtus ## methotrexate is used for arthritis and is a form of chemo. I take it once a week, and my RA is in remission most of the time ## I also take methotrexate once weekly (five small yellow pills) along with hydrochloriquine twice daily for my Rheumatoid Arthritis. Methotrexate in a much more potent dosage is a cancer drug. However, in the very low dosage used for RA, it helps by suppressing the immune system's response. A routine blood test is performed to ensure ill effects on the liver. ## That is correct, Methotrexate is used to treat both cancer and some auto-immune diseases. Common side effects can include: nausea, anemia, increased bruising and diarrhea. You can read more here: Are there any other questions?

It has been a Godsend to me husband. who died last May. My meds for cancer and glaucoma were so costly. A fellow Navy man led us to Express Scripts. I had free coverage from the company I retired from and was paying alot above their 5% coverage for meds and doctors. I gave up that insurance to qualify for TriCare and Express Scripts and we've never been sorry. L.M. Evans

I am a patient of RA for last 3 yrs and used to take Folitrax (7.5 mg per week) with HCQS (200 mg daily) along with Folvite (Folic acid). Recently (mid April to mid July 2009), I had a bout of fever associated with absolutely no other symptoms ( frequency 2 to 3 times a day peaking upto 102 F, when I had to take a paracetamol of 650 mg) . Detailed investigation (blood, USG of abdomen, CTscan of chest and abdomen, FNAC from liver) yielded nothing except presence of a few micro abcesses in the liver. The fever went off when the drugs I was being administered during the period of investigation were withdrawn (mid July 2009). Incidentally, RA drugs were stopped by the doctors in mid May 2009, in the initial stage of investigation. I am now (from mid July 2009) off the RA drugs as well as al...

A Viadur implant was placed in my arm after having radiation treatments for prostate cancer. After one year the Viadur implant was replaced by another one. After one more year I was told that I would not need a Viadur replacement and that I could just leave the Viadur implant in place. I was experiencing heat flashes throughtout the time the Viadur implants were in place. Then one day I had intense pain in the left side of my head like an electrical shock. After several CAT scans and two MRIs it was determined that there was a tumor at the pituitary gland. I insisted that the Viadur implant be removed. I have gone through radiation treatments for this pituitary tumor and currently the tumor is no longer enlarging. And I no longer have heat flashes. Do I need to be concerned that by leav...
