Adderall Backorder (Page 41) (Top voted first)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

My CVS just told me it's no longer on backorder, but each store is limited in how much they can order each month. When my Rx was sent in on March 22, they'd already met their limit. They expect their April shipment tomorrow or Monday. My son and I both take it. Between us, we have one left, which he's saving for taking the ACT test on Saturday. (And it took 20 minutes to get through to a person, especially after the system misunderstood my answer and it sent me to a Covid scheduler in India.) I hate CVS.

I'm truly sorry for this experience you had. I can't believe they kept sending you back and forth like that. You're right tho, it is unfortunate but at least you were able to fill it for now. That sounds so stressful though. I sincerely hope you're able to find somewhere else to go instead.

Hey that's great!

Pay no mind to the wording. They're all the same. There's something like 4 different active ingredients that make up the medication and different places will use different combinations of the ingredients to specify the generic versions.

I’ve also tried multiple pharmacies…I’ve been out for two weeks. And they’re taking their sweet time on prior authorization when I cannot afford regular adderall! I’m getting so frustrated and have a work trip at the end of the month and don’t know what I’m supposed to do. All my symptoms are back and I’m really struggling here…even the discount codes only take $10 off

Problems Every month with getting my prescription ?? filled. Demoralizing and degrading. Everything from the Sherlock Holmes Pharmacists, who treat me like some 74 year-old man who goes to 4th grade recess in order to give stimulants to 9 year-old victims…. To the Walmart pharmacist. who refused to refill my prescription ??, after a demeaning, & abusive lecture on my vile behavior. This was the same week that Walmart was found liable for distribution over 1 Billion opioid pills to initiate the horrific opioid crisis (2012- 2019… ).

My diagnosis was rendered by the leading experts in the field (Dr. John Ratey of Harvard University group & associates, among others. )

I’m having so much filling mine in PA. CVS that I normally use told me that medication has been on a back order for weeks now with no end in site. I gave it a few extra days waiting but I’m trying to get it transferred now.

The only problem is that Teva is a very poor quality generic now, and plus, there is no brand name of the instant release Adderall, it’s all generic. I won’t take it again, but, it used to be the best.

FYI I have come across MULTIPLE sources citing the same New York Times article from 2012 that stated the FDA was receiving a massive number of patient complaints daily at the time and it motivated them to investigate with the DEA about what was going on, to the point that the two agencies were in disagreement.

So it DOES make a difference.

Louisiana has been doing this since July! Every month I have to wait a couple days for my adderall. It’s just odd that a huge pharmaceutical company cannot keep up with the manufacturing of their drug. I hope this is not a drug being made in China with all the lockdowns there. But most of it is made in China. Which scares the hell out of me all around. Definitely time to get off of all pharmaceuticals, they are the cause of everyone’s illnesses to begin!

Yes! I experienced the same issue and I’m from Indiana. Both CVS and Walgreens are experiencing a shortage for stimulant meds. I’ve been two weeks without it and I’m just a sloth and having withdrawals!

I take 30 mgs XRs, there's a shortage of that particular dose here in Michigan. I'm hearing that it's all doses of generic Adderall are experiencing shortages.

Yes, I'm aware of that, as my own doctor's have used it. And you started it before. Don't worry, I saw it. ;)

I just thought it would be helpful for anyone who is currently using these specific services/companies. They're already being investigated by the DEA, so if anyone as a patient, are experiencing problems at the pharmacy it's probably bc pharmacies have began to block prescriptions from prescribers they've flagged from these companies. I read cerebral is also going to start initiating urine screens as well. There's also a lawsuit by a former VP.
