What Does Mr Mean For Medication

My daughter is 47 and 3 years ago she had 2 strokes from complications after a major vascular surgery. The MRI done at the time also revealed she had already had 2 strokes before surgery. Her personality has changed so much from the strokes. She is very ill tempered, mean and hateful. It's affecting her entire family. She is aware of the change and will apologize, but very seldom. A clinical psychologist suggested the drug Respitrol. Maybe I got the spelling wrong, but from what I read, this is mainly for asthma. Should she see a neurologist or a mental health doctor? Thank you. Lou ## Hello, Lou! How are you? Is it possible that the doctor meant Risperdal? It is an antipsychotic that is used to treat various mental health issues. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly i...

my grandaughter was tol her son has ADHD. He is very argumentive, destructive, fowl mouthed also. The doctor put him on Vivan but it does no good. She is thinking of getting mental health treatmen. Is Vivan good for him? Is there another medication besides Vivan that he could be given. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You...Mrs. K ## I'm assuming you meant the medication Vyvanse, which contains the active ingredient Lisdexamfetamine? How long has he been taking it? It can take a month or so for it to reach its full efficacy level in his body. Otherwise yes, there are other medications that they can try, such as Adderall: Has she spoken to his doctor about it? ## How long is it in your system

There is a sign that a person must wear gloves and masks before entering a patient's room. There is a name for it but I cannot remember it. I think it was an immumity to a certain antibiotic. ## Were you possibly thinking of MRSA? It's usually pronounced like mersa and means the person has infections and complications that are resistant to Methicillin and related antibiotics, which makes it very difficult to treat and makes them easily susceptible to other illnesses. ## Yes, I found out it is Mersa. I am in contact with many in a nursing center and was wondering if it is really contageous and what I should do to keep from geting it other than eschew the whole scene? Should there be definite warnings at the facility? Several years ago, notes advising gloves, gowns, etc were advis...

I recently was on 7.5 325 T and doc just switched me to 5-325-TB. What is the difference between the two? As in what amount of aspirin/Tylenol, does the amount in prescription strength, above mean? Like 7.5 to the 5, & the amount that didn't change 325? I have severe lower back pain, after standing or walking for several hours, as well as after strenuous work around the house, bending stooping, etc., & an MRI showed spinal stenosis. As well as the knee pain, I've had for years! So switching down in meds, as the doc prescribed, may not work. That's why I was wanting to know what the difference in the two meds are? THANKYOU for your time in reading & answering my questions. Diane ## Hello, Drenka! How are you? The first contained 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone with 325mgs o...

My husband has been in chronic pain for years and they keep taking MRI's and scans....we really have no clear answer on teh results except they look good!! taken instead of foloc acid ## I went to my doctor complaining of pain in my left leg and hip. I was diagnoised with a compressed nerve in my spine. I'm am scheduled for an MRI in 4 days. In the meantime I've been perscribed METANX TABLET PAM for Neuropathy, and GABAPENTIN 300 MG CAPSULE APO for leg pain. My insurance company will not pay for the METANX. I was on Prozac to treat depression for about 10 months. The first weeks I felt euphoric. It seemed like all the problems magically disappeared and life was amazing again. I met somebody and we started dating. Then a few month later, I found myself getting angry with everything and everyone for little things, things that normally would make me shrug. Then the aggression (not physical by any means) started affecting my relationship. But still, I could not figure out what it was. I thought - back then - then there was nothing wrong with me and I had the reasons to act to certain situations the was I did. My relationship ended. I was not happy but I was not super upset either, although I knew that he was mr right. I went on a long vacation and the very first day I flushed all the remaining...
