Took initial 6 pill dose last night as I ate dinner. (I thought that pack dosage was set up the same was as the other and I would take the other 5 tonight, 4 tomorrow etc etc) I then noticed tonight that I was supposed to be taking these throughout the day; after I just took 3. I live in Taiwan and recently just finished a course of clomiphene citrate. But the instructions were in chinese so i think I may have taken it incorrectly. I took 1 tablet 3 times a day separately for 5 days. Should this be taken with food or just water? ## This is a generic for Bactrim and, according to the monograph, there isn't a preference. However, it is well known that this antibiotic can be very rough on your stomach, so if it were me, I'd take it with a meal, or small snack to avoid the nausea and pain it can cause. Learn more Bactrim details here. I'm allergic to it and can't take it anymore, but the one time I did, it was quite harsh on my stomach and caused a lot of pain and irritation. My Prednisone Rx is not specific about the dosing instructions. It merely states take 3 tablets every day for allergic reaction (6 day supply). Do I take 1 tablet three times per day or do I take all 3 tablets at once. I asked the pharmacist at CVS and she claimed she had no idea how the doctor meant for me to take it and that I would need to contact the ER doctor who prescribed it. I was on vacation and forgot to take my blue pills the first two days. I doubled up the next two days based on what I remember (I was in Mexico with no access to internet). Hi. I'm now on prednisone but I took it at night instead of morning as on the instructions. And I took only 5 not 6 pills. Does any of this make a difference? ## Correction I'm on Prednisolone ## Not taking the correct dosage can definitely make a difference, as you may not be getting enough of the medication to actually clear up the condition being treated. What did you take only 5, instead of 6, as instructed? As to the time of day, that isn't really significant, as long as you spread the doses out properly. If it says to take 6 the first day and 5 the second day, then that means you should keep them 24 hours apart.
