I have started taking Newcita Plus to treat my depression. I am on the 10mg tablets and can't sleep at night. Is this normal? ## How long have you been taking it? In the initial stages, before your body adjusts to the medication, medications in this class can cause disruption to your sleep, due to the fact that they can delay the onset of the REM stage of sleep, according to the NIH. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and weight changes. It should improve after about 4 to 5 weeks of taking it, once your body adjusts.

Hi all. Great reading your posts. I am on Mirtazapine for the second time. Happy new year by The way. Firstly my psychiatrist put me on 30mg. It knocked me out every time. I had vivid abnormal dreams, lucid which I love. Nevertheless I had the munchies all the time coupled with lethargy, fuzziness and mild hallucinations. I kept going but was getting chubbier by the week. So i decided to ween myself of them feeling that my depression and residual psychosis from previous street drug abuse had resided or gone altogether. 3 weeks off them I was back in a dark gloomy and aggressive place my mood was irrational my thoughts racing always looking for someway to escape myself. 2 months later I went back on them and at first I felt like they were not working so the doc uped them from 15 to 30mg....

My boyfriend has been on vyvanse for 8 months. Then his new doctor took him off of them and put him on a depression med. All he wants to do is sleep. He doesn't clean or anything any more. He said he wants his life back but he doesn't know what to say to his doctor to get them back. ## Hello, Ana! How is your boyfriend doing? How long ago was the change to his medications made? He could be experiencing withdrawal effects from stopping the Vyvanse, since it's a stimulant, as well as side effects from starting the antidepressant. He may just need to wait a few weeks for his body to adjust, unless his doctor feels otherwise. Other symptoms, as listed by the FDA, may include dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes.

a pain Doctor has prescribed this medicine and now the VA Doctor has prescribed a white pill M 367 I just started using 2 days ago .My main problem is that I have used a Nitrate isosorbide for 2 years now and seem to have sleeping problems getting up in the middle of the night and also having a breathing problem. I made a new appointment with my cardiologist who installed 3 stents in my heart 3 years ago but still have 6 more blockages existing with about 70% At 86 years I have not thought about having another operation and hope I can continue using pain medicine for back pain. ## Hello, Edward! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. Both of the pills you've mentioned are listed in the prescription drug databases as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodon...

After 10 years of taking Hydrocodone for Chronic lower back pain, doses increasing over the years, my new PM Doctor has started me on Morphine Sulfate 15 mg ER at bed time. Also take 5 each Norco 10-325 during the day. I was taking 6 each Norco 10-325 a day, but needed/wanted 8 or 10 a day. Wishing I had a pickup truck load of Norco 10-325. Loved the stuff, but 6 a day was not easing the pain any longer. I would run out every month a week early. Normally I would take a Xanax 1 mg, sometime 2, at night and knock right to sleep. Last night was the first time I took the Morphine Sulfate 15 mg ER at bed time. I Had to take 2 each Xanax and only slept 3 or 4 hours. BTW, Norco 10-325 always gives me a buzz and energy to get up and do things. Has anyone experienced this sleep problem? Also, do...

Hi Everyone, Recently had a crisis situation where I had been tried on numerous sleeping pills unsuccessfully and with terrible anxiety and depression. Now on 50 mg of zoloft and 100 mg of seroquel together for 3 days. I seem to be able to feel when the depression begins to ease up already but I am experiencing terrible panic and heightened anxiety in its place. My anxiety focuses a lot on death and age as triggers but just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience of increased anxiety? Will it eventually go away? Also not sure if zoloft will help with my specific fear and anxiety so has anyone else used it successfully for a similar purpose? ## It takes time, but you should be able to call your Dr. hotline and they will help you. Probably give you something like Clonzepam, ...

how long does it takes effect so it can put me to sleep? I haven't been sleeping the past 4 nights, i'm sleeping 2 hours the most during the daytime ## Lexapro contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, it is an antidepressant, not a sleeping tablet, though it can cause drowsiness as a side effect. That said, most of these medications take two weeks to a month to reach their full effect in your body. Other side effects you may experience can include: nausea, dizziness and headache. Reead more: Do you have any other questions/

Today I went to the dr. She switched my Effexor and Buspar to Elavil. I have never taken this medication before. Its 25mg x 2 daily. I'm very interested in this medicine because I have a very hard time gaining weight and I've read blogs on yes it can cause weight gain. I'm also interested in how tired and sleepy it will make me. That's one negative effect I don't want. I'm more interested in energy and good mood lift... Any feedback would be appreciated, thx ## I think all these meds for mood and anxiety cause sleepy and no energy feelings. I've had to take many and all them make you tired and no energy ## I agree with you on this. I just started elavil 25mg before bed..I find myself sleeping later each morning. Which I don't like. Thank god I'm still...

Does anyone here have any experience of the same thing? I had multiple pulmonary embolus following achilles surgery and was started in Marevan warfarin. Within a few days I started to feel better and am now on my fifth week of treatment, breathing better, sleeping better and generally feeling more well than I have for the last 2 years or so. I have been told that I have familial 'sticky blood' and wonder whether this has been making me feel sluggish. I would like to know whether this is a normal thing or whether I am just strange! ## Well, in a way it can, so that really isn't strange. It's not that your blood is sticky and making you feel sluggish in a direct sense, but if you tend to have thicker blood that clots easily, it tends to raise your blood pressure and make y...

purple pill with P325. What is it? ## P 325 could be a brand new narcotic analgesic combo called Balacet 325. Or P 325 could be an over-the-counter pain/sleeping pill (generic Tylenol PM). There is nothing distinguishing about either imprint. The pills look the same to me other than color. One is violet and one is blue, and what I think is blue might look violet or purple to you. And photography lighting could make the colors appear even more similar. ## The blue tablet is oblong, the other is round if that helps to tell them apart any.

I am new to Vimpat. I am currently titrating my dose up from 50mg twice a day...up to 150mg twice a day. My problem is that the evening dose of Vimpat causes terrible insomnia (and I already have chronic sleeping troubles), and it also causes vivid nightmares. I need to know if the medication will still work if I take both pills in the morning and none in the evening. ## Hello, Tina! How are you? No, it wouldn't be a good idea, because it only works in the body for a certain period of time, which is why another dose needs to be taken later. The insomnia and vivid dreaming side effects should wear off, after about 4 weeks, once your body gets used to the medication. But if they are causing serious problems for you, then you should speak to your doctor as you may need to try a differe...

Hello. I am new to this but I came here looking for help. My mother has been using suboxone now for 5 years. She was addicted to pain pills for years and years prior to using suboxone. I'm very concerned because she looks more zonked and out of in now than her worst days using drugs. She falls asleep constantly over counters, falls every night because she's constantly falling asleep while standing up. Please help educate me. She says this is normal and she just has a sleeping disorder. She's on 32mg suboxone/day. 5 years on it now. Do you guys experience this? IS she on too much? Why is the doctor prescribing her so much. She can't even function. ## Hello, Dee! How are you? That is the highest recommend dosage, but only her doctor can decide if it's right for your mo...

Hi. The pharmacist gave my mom her refill on her zolpidem and she didn't really pay attention and thought it was a new prescription for sleeping since it was a peachy orange color. It has been giving her really bad nightmares ever since she has been taken it. The bottle says zolpidem but this has never done this to her before and she has always gotten a white pill (so have I). Do you think they messed up and gave her the wrong med? It just came to my attention tonight. ## Hey there. So yeah Zolpidem is a generic drug and made by a ton of different companies, so the pills indeed are difrerent colors and/ or shapes depending on whos making it. From the way you describe this particular pill your mom is on, Im guessing its Torrent. And Torrent is crapola on a stick. It gives me intense ...

I never had any issues with Asacol but ever since Asacol was put into a capsule, first the purple capsule and now the smaller pills in a clear capsule, which is now called Delzicol, I get severe indigestion, gas, have trouble sleeping, and generally don't feel well. Can this be due to the capsule? Before they changed to the 4 smaller pills in the capsule I had started removing the larger pill from the purple capsule and Immediately started feeling better. I recently started with the newer version of 4 smaller pills in a capsul and the symptoms have returned. Do others have issues with the capsule? Is there another medicine for UC that isn't in a capsule? ## Still having issues. Switched to Lialda because side effects from Delzicol, severe reflux, burning in the throat, probably ...

When I refilled my perscription for Trazadone, I though the pills looked different. they are small white round pills with a split line and PLIVA 433 stamped on them. The old ones were oval I think. The old bottle says Trazodone 50 mg Tablet APO. The new one says Trazodone 50 mg Tablet PLI What is the difference? ## Only the manufacturer! PLI on the new pills stands for Pliva Pharmaceuticals and the other ones were made by Apotex. Most pharmacies will switch according to whomever provides the cheapest option when they have to reorder. The medication, however, is the same. Do you have any other questions? ## There IS a difference! I have experienced tachcardia every night since switching from Apo to Pli. I am not happy! ## I have also felt jittery and had more problems sleeping on the pli...

I am new to Polk Co. Oregon am searching for physician willing to prescribe xanax for my anxiety-fears-and sometimes sleeping troubles, also some dizziness but not to the most extreme, fear of crowds, and little help with those tramatic situations I need little help with. I am afraid of being mistaken for a druggie searching for a way to abuse meds which is by far not the case which is why I am fearful of searching out doctors one at a time. Olease help. ## Well, no offense, but it does seem odd that not only are you looking for this medication, but a specific tablet form, that is very unusual and will make a lot of doctors suspicious. Have you tried any other types of medications? I am not familiar with that area in Oregon, does anyone else know any doctors there? ## I found a white xanax...

In need of a new doctor. Mine is still my family doctor but cut me off of all my pain control, anxiety, & sleeping meds when I tested negative for Lortab & Percocet after a 9 day trip with my daughter's school to D.C. & 6 states in which I didn't carry my meds.I need one in Northwest Alabama that will continue to prescribe my Lortab, Percocet, Valium, & Ambien for chronic pain, anxiety, & sleeplessness. Any suggestions appreciated. ## Hello, Little Mister! How are you doing? Sorry about the problem that you're having. Why didn't you take your medications on the trip? If you need them, it only makes sense that you'd take them all the time, as prescribed. I'm sure that's why your doctor has taken such an action. If you require such medicatio...

I have problems sleeping - I am in my 70s and have always had problems sleeping. I am currently taking Zopoclone, is there truth about Astronauts Amazing New Sleeping Pill? or is there something better that would help me sleep. Thank you if you can help. ## Hi Tony - Have you tried a natural supplement at bed time such as Melatonin? There are also essential oils such as Lavendar which are known to have calming effects. As far as what you are taking (Zopoclone) - I could not find a medication with that name as far as U.S. drugs go. Is the active ingredient Temazepam? What sort of effects is the medication having on you at this point?
