Hello I've looking around for a pain management place and I heard good things about Acworth Pain management that they are good about giving you good meds that work and I was just wondering if anyone knew anything more about this place because I'm a baseball player and Ive been playing for Rome Braves for two seasons until I toor my rotator cuff and my team doctors and others have been telling that there's not a good chance I will be able to have a career as long as others and that they could only manage the pain so I've been taking hydrocodone 10 mg and they seem to work real well but one of my buddy's told me that acworth pain was better about giving out this type of medication than others because the team doc is kinda reluctant to give this out so I figured I would tr

I need a pain managememt clinic in okc that i could go to that perscribes medication instead of shots ## Hello, Terry! How are you? Sorry about the pain that you're in. However, there is no database that I can refer to for you that lists doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe or treat with. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, that would most likely be the fastest and easiest way to find the help you need. ## Hi I am also looking for an okc dr. I would be sooo thankful if you know of one. I have been traveling to and from Texas every month and the drive makes my back injury excruciating and I end up in bed for 2-3 days to recoop. thanks ! {edited for privacy} ## hi, im also looking for a pain management dr who prescribes meds in okc, ive had ...

ive been prescribed oxycodone between 5mg up to 30 mg at a time any where from 3 times a day up to 5 times a day. I have a debilitating degenerating bone disease in my hips and lower back have 1 artificial hip awaiting the other replacement ... nothing else helps the pain except medicine that's being highly abused in my area and with recent fear of dr writing scripts its very hard to find a dr who will write them. this has forced me to patron some questionable facilities in the past several years. now im out of options and my family dr doesn't prescribe them. The only pharmacy that I can get them at wont fill them from that dr. what do I do? any ideas where I could go aside from the hope clinic? ## In Christiansburg va there are 2 pain clinics. You can look them up on google.

Hi. I'm looking for a pain management doctor in New Orleans/Westbank/etc area. I'm 27 and some places I called only accepts 35+. My Doc of 6yrs has cancer, so he transferred his patients. I recently found a Doc, but he doesn't prescribe soma, and reduced my pain meds. I rather just find a Doc in my area, than drive to BR each month for less meds. Thanks. ## Many Doctors do not like to prescribe Soma. You are also taking Pain Meds too? As you know pain medicine and Soma go together. Doctors know this too. Now that Soma a Schedule IV medication, you will find it harder to obtain. Still possible. ## Hi, Honey! I'm very sorry about the problems you're having. Unfortunately, even if I researched doctors for you in that area, I have no way of knowing what age or type of pa...

Does the topiramate help back pain because ive just been changed to pain management and my new doctor just changed me from tramadol to topiramate 50 mg and I haven't seen anything about back pain on here. Can someone help me before I start taking this? ## It can sometimes help with certain types of nerve pain, according to FDA reports, it is also used to help prevent seizures. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and weight changes. (NDC 0245-0708) The only way to really discover how it will work for you is by trying it. Have you started taking it, yet? ## I am not a doctor. I can only share my personal experience and opinion. I take Topamax (the branded version of Topiramate) for a seizure disorder. My doctor just cut my methadone scripts and doesnt wana give methadone to anyone now i need to find a doc that will perscribe me them ive bin with same doc for ten yrs ## Hello, Rich! How are you? Due to the regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis. PCPs are no longer able to prescribe such medications. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you tried asking your current doctor for a referral to someone that can help? That might be the easiest way to find the help yu need. What is your general location? I'm wondering what is best med for s1 protruding disc and a pinched nerve until I can get into pain management for the steroid IV's ## HI, Amy! Sorry that you're in pain. However, there's really no way to say what the best pain medication would be, because what works for someone else may not work for you. What has your doctor advised? Much of it is also going to depend on your overall health and your tolerance to any given class of medication. Have you ever taken opiates, before?

Pain clinics with same day appointments in Houston Texas? ## Hello, Jartan555! How are you? Such clinics/doctors no longer exist. There was far too much over prescribing and improper prescribing. Now, in order to be treated for pain on a long-term ongoing basis, one must see a pain management specialist.
